Chapter 17: Buying vegetables seeds and succulents

The girls hold each of her hands as they head to the seedlings shop or whatever shop it is supposed to be.

Bai Yi Fang was excited since they finally came out of the hardware shop, it was too long for her. Even the bicycle is not as interesting as earlier.

"Welcome girls, what are you looking for?"

A friendly elderly lady greet them.

This shop is not big, selling potted plants such as flowers, cactus, and even vegetables. There are also black soil, fertiliser, vases and some farming tools.

So most probably this is just plant shop.

"We are looking for seedlings to plant, vegetables seedlings. We have a small field behind our house."

The too overly friendly Bai Yi Fang said.

"You came at the right shop. Grandma has a variety to choose from, these plants is suitable to grow with our climates."

The grandma said to Bai Yi Fang but she look at Bai Yi Yang too.

The climate here is more towards the tropical zone, the colder it reached last year is 21℃ and the highest is 33.5℃.

So many vegetables and fruits can grow in this land.

"Then grandma please suggest a few suitable one." Bai Yi Yang said.

"Of course, grandma is not boasting, but you name it, grandma can give it to you. The seedlings is good quality, I won't sell it if its bad." The grandma said.

Bai Yi Yang smiled. Actually she can just order these seeds online but since they are here and she wasn't sure about the quality like the grandma said. It is better to see it in person.

"Grandma will recommend potatoes, it is easy to take care of. Lets see, there are red, white, yellow, baby or small potatoes, then sweet and purple potatoes. There are also chinese yam. Which one you want? Grandma also planted some, it's delicious."

"There are that many types, there is also a baby potato?" Bai Yi Fang asked.

"Yes, correct. There are many but these are the common one."

The grandma patiently answer, she like this talkative little girl a lot, just like her granddaughter.

"Then we will take the Chinese yam, yellow potato, small potato and both sweet and purple." Bai Yi Yang said.

"Then, long beans and green beans, okra, zucchini, pumpkin, daikon, radish, carrots…." Her list go on.

Even the grandma stop for a while as she digest what Bai Yi Yang said.

"That will be all for now." Bai Yi Yang said.

"Little miss, you talked too fast this old lady can't catch it. How about this, I will sell you each seedlings that I have here." The grandma said.

Bai Yi Yang was speechless, indeed she list too much type, but she is really planning to plant all that things.

In the future she is going to cut a few more trees nearby and expand their small farms.

Not too much but she wants to plants a lot of variety.

"Grandma is kind, then I will trouble you to give me each type, not so much, each type just enough for 2 patches, each about 10 meters." Bai Yi Yang said.

"Alright. I will count the packets for you. 1 - 2 packets should be enough, there may even be some excess. Each packet is 2 yuan, is that alright?" The grandma ask.

"En." Bai Yi Yang nod.

Then she saw that her two sisters is looking around while the grandma is busy sorting out seedlings.

Each packet has label and picture so she will not get confused even if it is mixed up.

Bai Yi Yang joined her sisters to look at the plants.

"What is this? This is adorable."

Bai Yi Ling was attracted to the various succulents.

"That's flower, succulent. Do you want it? If you want it then you should take care of it yourself, jiejie will help you make counters to put it on." Bai Yi Yang said.

Bai Yi Ling was contemplating, its just flowers that cannot be eaten. However, they look really cute inside the small vase.

"Buy it, its really cheap. Little girls who come to my shop like keeping it, its also not hard to take care of, as long as you water it when the soil gets dried it will live."

The grandma saw the quiet girl is finally interested in something.

Bai Yi Yang agree. It is really cheap, price ranging from 5-10 yuan. It looks pretty and it will add some colours to their house.

Since Xiao Ling like it then just buy it.

"Grandma, do you do delivery service? We don't have cars to bring all these home." Bai Yi Yang said. It is really troublesome to carry home.

There are more than 50 types of succulents in this shop, so they really cannot bring it back together.

Suddenly she remember that they also going to buy chainsaw and bicycle, she had a mild headache.

"We do for big purchase. Little miss, if you are going to buy more than 50 succulents then we will surely send it to your house." The grandma said.

She said 50 but is there really someone who will buy that much, people at most will buy on or two at a time.

"I want to buy all kind of succulents you have, one for each kind." Bai Yi Yang said.

The longer she look, the prettier they are.

Maybe she buy it not for Xiao Ling but for herself, they really does look adorable, there are lot of colours too.

"Little miss, there are more than 70 type of succulents in this shop, are you sure?" The grandma look at the three young people.

"Jie, it's too much. I just want one or two."

Bai Yi Ling panicked.

"I also came to like seeing them, its not just for you. Jiejie will also help you take care of them."

Bai Yi Yang said to Bai Yi Ling.

Bai Yi Ling finally smile again then continue looking at the succulents. She doesn't have enough time to look at each one carefully. When they bought it, then she will look at it carefully.

"Alright. We won't be able to send it today, my son went out for delivery. How about tomorrow? Just leave your contact number and address, we will send it for free."

The grandma smile widely, she got a big customer today.

"That will be fine too. Grandma if you have other types of seed or succulents then just send it tomorrow too, I will buy it all." Bai Yi Yang add.

"Little miss you are too generous. I never seen people here buy so many flowers at once." The grandma said.

"I just like seeing them, and my sister also seems to like them very much." Bai Yi Yang said.

"Then I will take my time to count this seedlings too, I will send it tomorrow together." The grandma said

"En."

Bai Yi Yang return to the counter and leave her phone number and address.

"Grandma later when you confirm the amount, send me the receipt to me. I will immediately pay before delivery tomorrow." Bai Yi Yang said.

"What are you talking about, just pay them tomorrow when the goods is delivered." The grandma said.

"How can it be like that, then, I will pay half later so that grandma is assured to send it ." Bai Yi Yang said.

"Alright, that is doable." The grandma smile.

How much is she going to sell this time, in addition to the one at home, they are at least 90 types of succulents.

"Then we will leave first grandma."

Bai Yi Yang look at her watch and it was already 3.45 pm.

They exceeded the 15 minutes they promised.

The grandma send them out to the door and Bai Yi Fang wave happily.

"The succulents are really looks pretty. Jiejie, I never know that there are flowers that look that delicate and cute." Bai Yi Ling said.

She is almost skipping happily like Bai Yi Fang.

Bai Yi Yang is relieved, Xiao Ling is usually quiet, she doesn't have much demand, she also doesn't show great interest in many things unlike the other two who knows what they like and dislike. But this time, when she saw her looking at the plants, her eyes were beaming. And even though she knows that the succulents cost quite a lot of money, she is not frowning.

"You like them?" Bai Yi Yang ask.

"En. I like them very much. Jiejie, in the future let me take care of it, you don't have to trouble yourself." Bai Yi Ling said.

"Oh, you want to claim ownership of it?" Bai Yi Yang teased.

"Not like that..I..I just.." Bai Yi Ling blush.

Bai Yi Yang laugh when she saw her like this. How can she be fierce like and old mother with the two children and happy like a little girl now? She is also a two-faced.

"I am kidding. They are yours. Jiejie will only look and won't meddle in the future. You take care of it, whether it die or live its your responsibility." Bai Yi Yang said.

"En." Bai Yi Ling nod.

She can already imagine all those flowers delivered to their door tomorrow.

"Fang Fang also like it, they are colourful."

Comment the I-like-everything queen out of nowhere.

Bai Yi Yang only hummed and didn't say anything, she just rub her head in turn.

This is Fang Fang personality, she likes to compliments everything, she easily get excited with something new, she basically likes everything but it was a bit superficial, just half-heatedly.

That is why Bai Yi Yang also worried about giving her puppies, what if she get bored of them?

That won't be good since she herself is not good with pets.

Since she is the one who wants it, then she expect her to at least pay attention to it in the future as the owner.

She understand that she is just a kid but after observing Bai Yi Fang for a while, that is just how she is.

No matter what, if she were going to give her the puppy, then Bai Yi Yang will shape her into a responsible owner.

Her personality is very friendly and cheerful personality, she gets along with people.

But the kind of person who can befriend anyone will have a hard time finding really close friend, that is also something that she is worried about.

She had seen people like this, when they really need someone very close besides them, they tend to get lonely because their numerous friends doesn't have deep connection to them.

This is the only worrying thing about Fang Fang.
