Chapter 16 - So that coming a mile away.

Charlotte and I have just reached our destination. Small cliff overlooking the great River separating Belfast and Mismede. The Journey took only a few days as most with the speed our horses were going.

Having accepted my proposal of wearing clothes fit for the occasion Charlotte wore 'Lara Croft's Clothes' (AN: The one Angelina Jolie wore in the movies) with a matching backpack and tied her hair in a ponytail.

I wore standard 'Indiana Jones' gear complete with Hat and whip. My sword currently stored in my new and improved Space Bag with twice the Carry Capacity.

Having dismounted our horses, Charlotte leads the two of us and wolves towards the other side of the cliff and pointed and the body of water.

"It says here that the location of the entrance is underwater."

Both of us look at one another and I then asked.

"Are you alright about having your clothes wet?"

I never did mention that with the way her clothes were made the shirt part will be extremely see-through when wet.

"I have found a magic spell that uses Wind and Space Element to create a bubble of air that allows the user to breathe underwater without getting wet."

Dang it...

*Cough*

"I see."

What else can I say, still I added.

"Can you cast it or do you want me to cast it for the both of us." Knowing the fact that she has 5 elements but no space Element. Unlike the people of the present, Space Element was not considered to be non-element magic but an element itself.

"You and Mr. Touya are the only people I know that have access to all elements, after all. Please."

"Air Space" (AN: Why not?)

A sudden rush of air covered both of us, I have the magic grab hold of Oxygen from the surrounding and place it inside a space around the two of us, the C02 that we breathe out is then shoved outside of the space.

Me being who I am made space a wee bit on the small size.

"This magic sure takes a large amount of mana. I can only cover the both of us by this much."

That is my reason, and I am sticking with it.

"Hm, will we be okay while inside this?"

She was touching the air around her and felt the space separating the inside from the outside.

"The Magic is stable and holding, it was designed to be able to handle outside interference. Just do not try to breach the space from the inside since I would have to expel a portion of my mana to repair the damage."

That was how the spell was originally designed but my version can function on its own, and increase the efficiency of the repair function by using the mana found outside the body.

"So if I want to cast spells I need to have my hand or staff outside of the bubble?"

Smart this woman already figured out the ins and outs of the spell.

I had to unsummon Thor and the boys, I told Thor not to worry since we can still fight in case something tries to attack us while in the water.

The walk was uneventful. We did not get attacked while underwater. We did see fish swimming around, it was still day time and we have good visibility while underwater.

Eventually, we found the cave entrance. Inside the long cave, we found the rusted double door with a double ray sun insignia.

"This is it. The Mesopotigma Culture, a minor culture that appeared and disappeared after 50 years. Rumors have it that they have access to a mode of teleportation that can travel using space and time."

She traced the Insignia and tried to pull the door it did not budge.

"And?"

"That's it, the other rumor was how the Culture got destroyed by a large being with Octopus parts while inside a Crack in Space and Time. Frankly, I think that was fake and the culture self-destructed. Ngh! Markus can you open this?"

M***erf*cker, I already know how they died. Getting crazy and causing the destruction of their Civilization.

Using Mana Sense I checked the flow of mana in the air and saw the lock on the door. Hm, it needs a certain magic frequency to open. Though I do wonder why the mana formation was familiar.

"Here goes."

I placed my hand on the Insignia and poured in magical energy on the same frequency as the lock.

Mana Frequency is a high-level term regarding the movement of Mana and the vibrations it emits, having perfect control over mana allows one to move mana in particular ways and produce these frequencies.

A Bell sound was heard and the door opened inwards a barrier was formed on the entrance and not letting the water inside. I looked at Charlotte and she had stars in her eyes telling me she 'Extremely' wanted to explore.

Getting inside I made a special weapon in case something pops out. A Magic Crowbar.
