Chapter 15 - The Factory must be fed.

"Hey, Markus. What do you think?"

A green Haired Woman with, ahem, womanly features asked me while raising her arms each carrying something on each hand.

Currently I Markus... am on a date.

"That would be more appropriate don't you think?"

I pointed at the thing she was carrying on her left hand.

"This one? But doesn't this one works much better?"

She raised the thing on her right.

"If you are planning to blow up an entire mansion sure, but we are trying to light a bonfire you know."

She grinned at me and lowered her right hand holding a scroll that contains a spell that is the main cause of this mess.

An Adventure date with Charlotte. (An: The green-haired Bombshell of a Royal Mage, and my employer at my part-time work)

Currently, we have just taken a break from the research work, or to be frank. Charlotte got kicked out of the castle research facility by the king. One of her experiments got out of hand and blew up the entire facility, thankfully all the research notes and materials are protected by protection magic Charlotte and I had cast.

But really who would use a Siege Spell while underground? The spell in question was something I had just finished translating, call 'Fragment Bomb', a complex spell combining three elements, Fire Wind and Earth. It was a magic version of a Grenade with an explosive strength stronger than C4.

Anyway, with Charlotte having been chastised by the King, she now has an excuse to go on an expedition in search of a ruin that was rumored to contain some ancient artifact.

What was I doing in all of this? Well, I was on my way to the office... I mean, I was outside of the Castle and was just talking with some of the guards at the front gate when the explosion happened. I rushed in and found the King reprimanding a soot-covered Charlotte.

Later that same day, Charlotte was told to go on vacation. I was then ordered by the king to go with her and make sure she does not cause more damage than necessary. With the clues that Charlotte has uncovered, we are to head south of Belfast and got towards the body of water separating the Kingdom of Belfast and Mismede.

We have just finished eating when four wolves came to the camp. Thor (Still Pokemon size) and the boys.

"Master, the boys and I have finished scouting the area."

Thor went towards my side and lied down near the now lit bonfire. The boys in question are the three Horned Wolves he managed to recruit into his pack. Who would have thought that I would meet the three single-horned beasts I gave the Hornless rabbit meat back then.

Because of my contract with Thor, if a creature agrees to join his pack they also form a secondary contract with me and get the same benefits but less than my main Summoned Creature. This benefit includes access to my personal Space created when I made the contract with Thor that one time.

Depending on the creature I formed a contract with a space suitable for their living condition forms in my shadow. Princess Yumina explained that it was part of the Contract Magic. Also if the Contracted Beast is stronger than the summoner there will be a chance that the summoner may die if he/she cannot contain the contracted beast.

Since my body has been steadily getting stronger as the day passes by, my mana capacity too. I have no fear that I will be weaker than Thor.

In case your wondering Thor's space was a ranch for some reason, most of the time Thor is with me. After he took the three wolves in his pack, Thor and the wolves when not needed by me spends the time at the ranch and do 'Drills'. (AN: Only those who played Monster Rancher would know what Tiger types' preferred Drills are.)
