Chapter 56: War III

I just finished the second arc of this fic so I'll throw this chapter out•

Mysterious Man's POV*

The man stared at everyone with a confident smile on his face. He was scared of Sirzechs as he couldn't write anything on his book while Sirzechs was there. "Hello, everyone~!" The man said as everyone stared at him with cautious eyes. "No response huh? I don't care either way~" the man said as he opened his book.

The devils felt hostility from this man as one of them fired an arrow imbued with mana at him. The man wrote something on his notebook as the arrow vanished in the air. They felt that they are facing another troublesome enemy again, Ajuka observed the man as he gained some clue to what the man's ability is. Ajuka made Serafall attack him as chunks of ice appeared in the air and attacked the man. But just like the arrow, the ice vanished when the man suddenly wrote something on the book.

The man smiled as he wrote something on the book.

(𝑨 𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒐𝒎 𝒅𝒆𝒗𝒊𝒍 𝒕𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒅 𝒕𝒐 𝒉𝒊𝒕 𝒎𝒆 𝒃𝒖𝒕 𝒅𝒊𝒆𝒅 𝒘𝒉𝒊𝒍𝒆 𝒕𝒓𝒊𝒑𝒑𝒊𝒏𝒈)

A random devil suddenly moved as he dashed to the man but halfway in sprinting, he suddenly fell as his head exploded the moment it hit the ground. Ajuka scrunched his forehead as he used the wind to see what the man was writing. He saw what he wrote and it appeared in the reality.

(𝑺𝒆𝒓𝒂𝒇𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝑳𝒆𝒗𝒊𝒂𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒏 𝒕𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒅 𝒕𝒐 𝒖𝒔𝒆 𝒊𝒄𝒆 𝒎𝒂𝒈𝒊𝒄 𝒃𝒖𝒕 𝒊𝒕 𝒃𝒂𝒄𝒌𝒇𝒊𝒓𝒆𝒅 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒎𝒂𝒅𝒆 𝒉𝒆𝒓 𝒄𝒓𝒊𝒑𝒑𝒍𝒆.)

Ajuka was alarmed as he went to Serafall's side. "Serafall! Don't try to use magic!" Ajuka screamed as Serafall just listened. Her body suddenly moved by itself and tried to use her magic powers, the moment she did it, her magic backfired destroying some of her organs. Ajuka widened his eyes at this unreasonable phenomenon. "Serafall!" Lord Sitri and Lady Sitri appeared at her side and supported her falling body. "Everyone! Don't move away from that barrier!" Ajuka said making the devils stop from getting out of the barrier.

The man smirked at Ajuka's action as he saw something appearing in his book.

The man raised an eyebrow at that before doing something that made Ajuka question the power system of this world. He simply rewrote the sentence and made it favorable for him.

Just like what the man wrote, Lady Sitri used space magic but she was surprised when it suddenly vanished in the air without explanations. Lady Sitri tried again but it didn't work. "That guy.. he can read the future and alter it.." Ajuka said making the listeners shocked. There was something like that in this world? That power could change the world itself.

The man suddenly saw Sona appeared as his book turned blank for a moment making the man scared. But he immediately gained his confidence when the words returned, he saw some new words appearing.

(𝑳𝒐𝒓𝒅 𝑺𝒊𝒕𝒓𝒊 𝒖𝒔𝒆𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒄𝒊𝒕𝒚 𝒄𝒐𝒓𝒆 𝒕𝒐 𝒌𝒊𝒄𝒌 𝒎𝒆 𝒐𝒖𝒕 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒑𝒍𝒂𝒄𝒆 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒃𝒂𝒏𝒏𝒆𝒅 𝒎𝒆 𝒇𝒐𝒓𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓)

The man chuckled before touching the words as he changed it making it advantageous for him.

(𝑳𝒐𝒓𝒅 𝑺𝒊𝒕𝒓𝒊 𝒕𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒅 𝒕𝒐 𝒖𝒔𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒄𝒊𝒕𝒚 𝒄𝒐𝒓𝒆 𝒕𝒐 𝒌𝒊𝒄𝒌 𝒎𝒆 𝒃𝒖𝒕 𝒊𝒕 𝒅𝒊𝒅𝒏'𝒕 𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒌)

Lord Sitri raised his hand, he was wondering if the city core could bypass that law and damaged the enemy, but just like the same as others.. it didn't work.

(𝑺𝒐𝒏𝒂 𝑺𝒊𝒕𝒓𝒊 𝒘𝒂𝒍𝒌𝒆𝒅 𝒕𝒐𝒘𝒂𝒓𝒅𝒔 𝒎𝒆 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒓𝒂𝒊𝒔𝒆𝒅 𝒉𝒆𝒓 𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒔)

The man saw the new future as he tried messing with it. He wanted to know what the others reaction when their lovely heiress would die with just a few words, specially the man who is watching him do his work.

The man looked around the area. There were any number of possibilities. He tried to write a few lines on his book.

(𝑺𝒐𝒏𝒂 𝑺𝒊𝒕𝒓𝒊 𝒘𝒂𝒍𝒌𝒆𝒅 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒈𝒐𝒕 𝒇𝒓𝒐𝒛𝒆𝒏 𝒃𝒚 𝒉𝒆𝒓 𝒊𝒄𝒆)

It was hardly literature, but he had no obligation to make the story interesting.

(𝑺𝒐𝒏𝒂 𝑺𝒊𝒕𝒓𝒊 𝒘𝒂𝒍𝒌𝒆𝒅-)

But the second half of the sentence immediately disappeared. So, freezing her on her own ice wouldn't work. There were still plenty of options, though. As he tried a different approach, the book suddenly filled in the previous line for him.

(𝑰 𝒇𝒓𝒐𝒛𝒆 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒅𝒊𝒆𝒅.)

The man shuddered. There have never been such seeming final mention or simple words about his death. Being filled with holes, or caught in a cave in, or torn apart by monsters - those kind of graphic descriptions were plentiful and obviously suggested his death, but a direct mention of it had never shown up.

"That's.. kind of strange for a first person story, isn't it?" He tried to make a light of it. If he was the writer, there was no way that he would write about his own death. At any rate all he had to do was remove the line.

He quickly traced the letters, erasing them. He would have to focus on setting up a development that wouldn't accidentally result in his own death at the same time. But before he could think of a new scenario to write about, the letters reappeared.

He erased them again.

"What's going on?! I'm supposed to have the strongest ability, to see the future and changed it!" It wasn't the ability to make things go however he wanted, but is should've been enough that, with a bit of clever thinking. He could get out of any situation.

But the book was no longer permitting any other development except for his own death. No matter how many times he erased the words, it would just displayed another way of saying that he had died.

"Shit! What am I suppose to do?!"

The text was no longer even forming a sentences. The word were repeating so rapidly that the man couldn't erase them fast enough. But his entire power relied on using the book, so he couldn't just throw it away.

"That's right! If I destroy it.." He immediately ripped out the page , shredding it to tiny pieces. It would stop being a novel that way. Tearing out each page, he ripped the entire book apart. He could very well lose his ability by doing this, but his slowly approaching demise was far more frightening.

"A-Anyway I should run" He had no idea why, but he knew if Sona arrived at his spot, he himself would die. So he turned away and started running in the watchful eyes of every devils.

However, a terrible premonition stopped him in his tracks. He needed to run but he couldn't help but worry about the thing behind him. He knew he didn't need to, but he felt driven to turn and look back. Every instinct told him not to do it, yet a similar instinct told him it was wrong to ignore the source of his fear.

The man turned around. Nothing had changed. The only thing in the ground were scattered pieces of his book. There was nothing else. It was all on his head. He tried to convince himself that.

Suddenly letters appeared on the ground. Words describing his death spilled out of his books remnants where they covered the floor. In an instant, the words have crawled the land and up to other buildings. The persistence of those words seemed determined to tell him there was no way he could escape it.

With a sound of a step. Someone appeared on his back, he slowly turned around and was met with Sona's cold gaze.

"Freeze.."

That was the last thing the man heard before his whole body turned into a statue before crumbling apart.

Gremory Territory*

Sirzechs arrived at the place making the minor gods shivered at his cold gaze. Zeoticus shook his head looking at his angry son, but he didn't do anything as he shared the same hatred towards the imbeciles that attacked them.

Reya saw that Sirzechs was about to do something. "Everyone please return here, Lord Lucifer is doing something" every devils who heard her words immediately stepped back far enough while the gods turned pale at that. Sirzechs was usually a peaceful person but if someone did something to someone he cares for then he wouldn't show mercy even if its the same race.

Sirzechs raised his hand and waved it. Every gods who are still in the battlefield was erased in existence just like that. No form of barrier was about to stop his power showing just how strong Sirzechs Lucifer is. The devils awed in that, specially Issei as he didn't saw the power of Sirzechs yet. Issei turned his attention to Zeoticus and asked. "Zeoticus-sama.. where is Buchou?"

Zeoticus closed his eyes and explained. "Rias.. was kidnapped by Hades" everyone on Rias's peerage shivered as their aura started bursting out of their bodies. Specially Issei who is the most devastated about the news. His chain mail started to changed as Reya saw that something would happen if it continues so she made Issei sleep.

Sirzechs went to Reya's side and asked. "You're Sona's bishop right? I heard you handle information.. do you know where my sister is?" Reya thought for a moment before smiling. "Certainly, Lord Lucifer. Lady Rias is currently at Dimensional Gap being held by Hades himself" Sirzechs nodded his head and teleported with Reya at the Dimensional Gap.

Both of them were dumbfounded when they saw large things falling at them, they thought it was enemy attack but they smelled that it was kind of appetizing. Reya raised an eyebrow before saying. "This.. is all food Lord Lucifer" Sirzechs was baffled at that but just shook his head. This is not the time to think about food.

Reya understood what his intention are so she led him to a place where a kingdom was placed. "There's.. an kingdom on Dimensional Gap?" Sirzechs asked as Reya just smiled. "2 to be exact, Lord Sirzechs" Sirzechs was surprised again but started focusing on the kingdom. He felt Hades aura lingering on this land as he tried to look for Rias's one. "Is Rias here?" Sirzechs asked.

Reya nodded her head, as she pointed at one of the room in a castle. Sirzechs nodded his head and immediately went to it. He covered his whole body with destruction so anything that would hit his body would vanish. Many Grim Reapers noticed their arrival as they immediately started attacking them. Sirzechs didn't pay attention to them so Reya could only handle those cannon fodders.

Reya started analyzing a Grim Reaper's data, she raised her gun before pulling the trigger erasing hundreds of Reapers in a second. Sirzechs was amazed at that, he knew that it didn't have any destruction properties so he wondered how reapers were erased in existence.

Meanwhile Hades who is in the throne room waiting for Zeus so that they could start the second plan. He was confident that this kingdom of his would not be found out as the existence of distance and space does bot exist in Dimensional Gap. Person who tried to look for him would take at least months to find this place.

Hades suddenly felt something bad is going to happen, he never ignore his instinct he immediately stood up and stared at the window of the castle. He saw a red thing rushing while destroying everything he runs to, and a girl with two hand guns erasing hundreds of grim reapers every second.

Hades left his castle to battle the two as thousands of magic circle appeared on his back and fired blue balls of fire. Sirzechs saw that as he dodged. "Flames of Purgatory huh..?" Sirzechs shook his head before confronting it with Power of Destruction.

The blue balls and red balls started hitting each others as they canceled every hit. "How did you know this place.. Bat King" Hades said as Sirzechs didn't reply. Hades was angry as he used the souls of the dead and formed weapons with it. This weapons are very lethal because they ignore physical body and immediately destroy the soul.

Sirzechs looked at Hades with calm gaze as he let the weapons hit him. Though it has no effect as they instantly broke the moment they hit his aura. "You really dared to use my sister huh?" Sirzechs said before forming a ball of PoD on his hands. He threw it at Hades's kingdom destroying everything except for one room.

Rias was awoken by the vibrations of the battle outside. She stared at her body that was held by a magical rope that sucks her every magic. She can't form or use any magic right now so she could only squirm on the spot. Rias was alarmed when she heard the window opening but immediately sighed in relief when she saw Reya standing there.

"Reya, what happened?" Rias asked as Reya erased the rope that held Rias. "Lady Rias, you were kidnapped by Hades. Your brother is currently fighting him outside" Reya explained as Rias got worried about her servants. She was informed that a war was coming so she was about to teleport when a grim reaper wearing Hades's helmet suddenly took her by a surprise.

"Is the war.. still happening?" Rias asked while thinking how unreasonable the Greek Gods were, pouring their anger at their race for nothing. "Yes.. don't worry, Lady Rias. The damage are minimals and most of the Greek Gods were already dead" Reya said as Rias sighed in relief. "Wait, where are we? How is my servants?" Rias asked as she felt weirded by this place.

Reya smiled and answered. "We are currently at the Dimensional Gap, they thought this would be the best place to hide their traces and as for your peerage, they are doing fine. Just worried about your well being right now" Rias relaxed at that, she watched as Sirzechs battled Hades while slowly destroying the god.

Sirzechs felt her sister's presence vanish as he closed his eyes. "Lord Lucifer, Lady Rias already went to the Gremory Territory" Reya said as Lucifer smiled. Reya pointed one of her gun to Hades before pulling the trigger as the God suddenly began falling. "What..?" Hades was dumbfounded by what happened as he tried to comprehend what happened to him. He suddenly lost the feeling of his divinity making him scared.

Sirzechs went to Hades who is now powerless. Hades took a helmet and was about to put in when it suddenly turned into light particles flying in the air. "You pest.." Hades finally realized that Reya was the one who erased his divinity. "Tell me Hades, what did you plan?" Sirzechs asked while stepping on Hades's skeleton.

"Its already too late Bat King, we already expected this to happen. That monstrosity has probably arrived in that place, we were just stalling time so that you wouldn't arrive faster than how that being destroyed the Sitri Territory" Hades sneered at Sirzechs who got alerted and turned to Reya immediately. Reya used clairvoyance before it was blocked by something, it was like a broken T.V was being played on her mind.

Seeing Reya's shocked expression, Sirzechs immediately erased Hades before teleporting with Reya to Sitri Clan where they saw something that surprised both of them.

Momo and Tsubasa just finished their work without any problem as the gods they fought were just some simple gods, though the territory was still destroyed because of their strength. Tsubasa just kept punching the gods making them into paste, as Momo bombarded them with Explosion Magic, they also received their weapons midfight making their fight even more easier.

They returned to the Sitri Clan and saw their King killing a guy that can change the future. Sona already learned 'True Nuts' so dealing with that kind of bullshit power was easy. They were about to go back to the mansion when the world suddenly stopped, the space started trembling while many devils who saw the being started screaming.

Sona, Serafall, and their parents were safe because they were protected by Xander's barrier. "So the source of that man's power has arrived huh?" They saw a huge being with disgusting body proportions, a interdimensional being to be exact. "Where is Xander.." Sona said while worrying about what would happened from now on.

Everyone in Sona Peerage was already in the territory except for Tomoe who was missing. Sona noticed that Tomoe's presence was missing, she was about to ask when she suddenly felt it on the enemies side. They turned their heads and saw Tomoe with red eyes while smiling creepily. "Hello there~.." Tomoe said with a creepy voice.
