Chapter 13 : It's All Yours

As the trio walked along the road, the three elders engaged in a conversation about the clan to help you understand its history. Old man Hiyou took the lead in speaking, supplemented by old man Shiho, while old man Zhihui remained mostly silent.

Old Man Hiyou's generation consisted of seven siblings, with Hiyou as the eldest, Shiho the fourth, and Zhihui the youngest. Tragically, the other brothers and sisters fell victim to the brutal Warring States Period, murdered by fellow Konoha ninjas from Mori no Senju, Uchiha, Hyuga, Kurama, Inoguchi, and others.

Being a hermit tribe practicing mysticism, the Aburame clan maintained a stance of non-aligned neutrality. With the power and versatility of their parasites, they excelled in various tasks such as assassination, investigation, sabotage, and more, accepting assignments for financial gain without refusal. During the tumultuous Warring States Period, families played their games, and the market environment dictated that the Aburame clan could trust no one, becoming isolated.

With the formation of the alliance between Senju and Uchiha, the village started to take shape. To ensure the clan's survival, Hiyou had to lead the clan, enduring hatred and making a wise but difficult decision. After joining Konoha, Hiyou resigned from the position of clan leader, leaving it to the son of his younger brother, Shiho.

Old man Zhihui, having no descendants, possessed a unique poisonous insect since childhood, granting him a form of immortality unmatched even among the women in the clan. As for the descendants of old man Hiyou, all but his son, born in old age, and his beloved little daughter, perished during the Warring States Period, victims of the same murderers.

Hiyou's youngest daughter, Yumi, grew up in a relaxed environment similar to Konoha. The old man Shiyu, reluctant to see her become a ninja, forcefully explained to Hiyou why he hadn't visited them for so many years. 

Eventually, the group arrived at the family residence, greeted by the guarding Aburame clan members. After a simple exchange of etiquette, they entered the house. The solitary assembly hall wasn't extensive, lacking the weight of time or history. The ancestral hall appeared even more desolate, with eye-catching tombstones lining the open space outside.

Instructing the others to stay outside, the three guards left. Maki possessed the basic art of chunin but was unaware of it, her body not meeting the standard for the release technique. The three old men, in a hermit style, opened a hidden secret door, holding lit candlesticks as they walked along the downward secret passage.

On the way, old man Hiyou showcased a seal, causing parasitic insects with glowing red buttocks to fly out of his body, illuminating the candles along the deep tunnel. She asked about the "flame-sending insect," comparing it to fireflies. When asked if it would explode, old man Hiyou explained that it flew too slowly, resembling the attack methods of parasitic bugs, suicide group attacks, forming groups, and setting traps to prevent prey from escaping.

Old Man Hiyou emphasized that ordinary parasitic insects were already lethal, but facing Uchiha's Mangekyou required a different perspective. Curious, she tentatively asked about the Mangekyou. Old man Shiyu mentioned that it was a divine power and warned that Uchiha was not a clan that could settle down.

Reaching the end of the road, they entered a not-so-big room with about a hundred square meters. Three walls featured a mural depicting the history of the Aburame clan raising parasitic insects, showcasing many differences from today's parasitic insects. Another wall was covered with ninjutsu scrolls, and the last wall displayed sealed jars of earth, believed to contain mutated insect eggs.

Ignoring the secret scroll of Ninjutsu, Miki was drawn to the sealed jars and came closer. Old man Hiyou, seeing her interest, humorously declared, "It's all yours; choose whatever you want! Hahahahaha!" You, with chakra-covered hands, touched the earthen pots as you walked past.

After some time, Hiyou turned to old man Hiyou and remarked, "Basically, they are all dead." Unsurprised, old man Hiyou explained that there was no one to inherit them, and Maki mentioned that only some of the jars were responsive.

Approaching the largest earthen jar with a strong will to survive, Hiyou smashed it, revealing huge insect eggs. These eggs were almost the same height as Hiyou, resembling the size of a child. Asked if there was any record of them, old man Hiyou shook his head, stating they had been there as long as he could remember.

Deciding to start the hatching process, she put her hand on the insect egg. The three old men watched carefully, but the process seemed normal. With the input of her chakra, the infection proceeded covertly and extremely quickly, driven by the insect egg's clear and firm will to live. The infection progressed almost as fast as hatching, if not a little faster.

After the infection was over, the hatching was complete. Signs of life activity appeared in the eggs, with small bags bulging on the egg wall. Eventually, the eggs cracked, and tissue fluid flowed out. At a certain moment, Maki let go and stepped away as the entire egg split open.

From the egg emerged a naked, human-looking girl with a simple exoskeleton. The exoskeleton, still transparent and soft, showcased the fair-skinned human girl inside. As the exoskeleton quickly hardened and changed color, a human-like insect was left on the ground.

Without speaking, She gave the order for the girl to stand up. Under Hiyou's command, the girl struggled to stand, with three pairs of compound eyes on her face turning to look at different people. Staring closely at Maki, the girl opened her mouth like a worm, repeatedly saying, "Mom, Mom, Mom."

Responding gloomily, Maki told her not to call her mom. However, the girl obediently continued, "Yes! Mom!" It became apparent that her brain wasn't functioning well. Feeling a bad premonition, she pressed your aching eyebrows.

Surrounded by the three old men, the girl continued to attract their interest with her unique appearance and behavior.
