Selina:

The robot cat drops Cyborg, Harleen, and me to the ground, it itself then drops to the ground and lands on its feet. Retracting its tail, it purrs at us as we lay Cyborg on the ground.

"You think Cold and Ivy are okay," Harleen asks.

"I'm sure they're fine," Captain Cold answers, walking around the corner with Poison Ivy. "They may never come back to Gotham City but other than that, they're fine."

The second I see Ivy, I walk right up to her and punch her across the face. Cold rushes forward and grabs me by my arms. He pulls me back but I break free and bump him back.

"What were you thinking," I ask, pointing at the crumbling Wayne Tower. "And while we're all still inside. You, me, and the two of them."

"I was thinking Nightwing shocked Cold so I would try and kill him."

"Nightwing," Harleen repeats. "Did you kill him?"

"No," Cold replies, "Higgin somehow convinced us to save him so we dragged his sorry ass to a window and jumped out before the same roots that caused all of that, caught us."

"Hey, that's like us. We found Cyborg and had to fight him before dragging him over to a window and jumping out. Luckily, Selina's robot cat had a really strong tail."

"What in the living hell are you talking about? Robot cat? A really strong tail? Did a piece of the wall hit you on the way down?"

"Listen," Higgin says, cutting the rest of us off. "As much as I hate to bother you all, there are reinforcements coming. I called ahead and Dr. Crane is setting up a portal now. Prepare to jump."

As if on cue, a portal opens beside us.

The Man:

"There," I say, inputting the final command and stepping back. The incubator closing, I look at the resting Jaime Reyes inside.

"How are they," Oliver asks, peeking over my shoulder. Bumping the archer back, I turn to him and Dinah.

"They're fine," I replied. "Jaime, Professor Stein, Rusch, and Hal are all resting in the incubators. They should be back on their feet by tomorrow morning."

"Awesome," Dinah says.

"Incoming," the doc says, stepping back as the portal opens and Cold, Ivy, Cat, and Clown all jump in.

"What happened," I ask as soon as their feet hit the floor. "What is this about I'm hearing about a destroyed Wayne Tower? You were supposed to get information and get out, not destroy the whole flipping building."

"Oh, I'm sorry," Cold replies, "You see, in your 'master plan', you forgot to account for a few things Like Nightwing and Cyborg you fucking jackas--"

Before he can finish, I step forward and wrap my hand around his mouth. Slapping his hand away when he tries to free himself, I knock him over.

"Forget I ask," I say, turning back to look at the rest of the Insurgency. "For now, let's get some rest. All of us. I built personal bedrooms for each one of you. I hope you enjoy."

"You built personal bedrooms for every one of us," Ivy repeats, "Seriously?"

"Yeah," Doc answers, joining in. "He built one for me too, but I don't really use it a whole lot."

"Why," Flash asks, "Too creepy? A guy in a pair of sunglasses whose name you don't even know building a 'personal' room just for you?"

"No. For the past month, I've been sleeping in the infirmary."

I hit the doc on the arm and he turns to me.

"Doc, please guide Harleen, Selina, Oliver, and Dinah to their rooms. I'll show the others where their rooms are."

"Got it."

Hesitate, the four of them follow after the doc as he starts to lead them away. Meanwhile, I look at the reminder.

"Either come with me willingly or after I give you a black eye."

Harleen:

"Here's your name," Scarecrow says after leading us through a maze of hallways. "I guess see you in the morning."

"Yup," I say, waving at the gang as they leave me. "I guess I'll see you all in the morning."

As I close the door to my "room" and look around, I couldn't help but smile a little bit.

"Hmm. This actually isn't too bad."

My room, despite not being that big, is very decorated. The wallpaper is a striped red-and-white pattern, like a circus tent, with pictures of animals on it.

"Lou," I scream, seeing my hyenas in the corner of the room. "Bud! Oh my god, how are you two?"

I drop to my knees and hug the two. The two reply with licks, we snuggle our heads together.

"Oh fuck. I don't know how, but am I glad you two are here."

Back on my feet, my smile only grows when I see a cotton candy and popcorn machine beside the practice dummies of Superman and Wonder Woman next to the wall racks holding mallets and revolvers.

"My room is awesome."

Selina:

"What is this," I ask, staring at a painting on the wall of my room. I look back at everything else, and with the exception of the painting, it all fits together; the 20,000 dollar silk bed sheets on top of the 150,000 dollars Hasten Vividus bed, surrounded by emerald cats that have to cost about 1,000 dollars each.

"The seriously had some deep pockets," I say, turning back to the stupid painting. "But horribly taste. Especially in art."

I look at the painting of cats playing poker. I guess like its counterpart, the famous Dogs Playing Poker, the cats are all around a poker table with cards in their hands.

"How do I take this down?"

Oliver:

"Wow," I say as soon as I step into my room. "This is something else."

Right in the center of the room, painted onto the floor, is the tip of a green arrow. The tip is pointing to a desk that is covered in drawers, dozens and dozens of drawers, each label with a different part.

The desk itself is in front of a wall, lined with even more bows, quivers, and pre-prepared arrows. I walk up to the wall and pull out one bow and what looks like one of my ice arrows. Noticing some targets not too far away, I pull back on the bowstring and let the arrow fly. It hits the target right in the middle before bursting and covering it in ice.

"This is my ice arrow," I say, looking at the other arrows on the wall. "He copied my design? Okay, that's a little creepy. How did he know?"

I think it over quickly, considering I still know basically nothing about the man. Except that he has done a lot for us recently.

"He freed Kara, brought us together, took down the Watchtower, and even rescued Jason, Jaime, and Martin. He had done more in the last few days than any of us in the last three months. Still, the fact that he won't tell us anything about himself is a pain in the ass. At least give us a name."

My eyes going back up the wall of bows and arrows, I put the bow back.

"Why won't you tell us anything?"

Dinah:

As I turn the lights on in my room, I see the pale-blue wallpaper with pictures of birds on them. Canary, I bet.

Walking over to the bed, I sit down and reach into my pocket. Pulling out a crumble photo of Connor, I try to straighten it.

"Hey sweetie," I say, rubbing Connor's head. I'm sorry I haven't been able to talk for a while. Things have sort of been crazy. Well, beyond crazy. I'm in a bedroom built by some guy I've never seen who apparently is so paranoid, he booby-traps his own base. And to top it off, I was guided here by Scarecrow, who is now a doctor for crying out loud."

I let out a quick chuckle, before looking back at Connor.

"I hope things make more sense where you are now sweetie. Night-nighty and sleep tight."

I put the picture back into my pocket and turn off the lights.

Dr. Crane:

Walking back into the infirmary, I greet the four as they are still resting inside the incubator.

"Well, that wasn't too uncomfortable," I say, slamming my butt down on my chair and cracking open another book on medicine.

"Nothing like being a tour guide to a bunch of people that still see me with a sack on my head. Still, I can't blame them. All of this did start with me. Why was I thinking back then? Making one of the stronger and most unbeatable men in the universe kill his fiance"

I pull up my metal hand and stare at it. Wiggling my fingers back and forth, I stop when I start to think who it was that gave me the metal hand.

"I can't change what already happened, but I can soon as heck change what's going to happen."

I shake my head and start to read the book.
