Inheritance : The Progenitor of DxD

Living my life as a normal teenager was more troublesome than I could have ever thought .Not only did something terrible happened to me one year ago, but after that incident I had to live in a town that was filled with the smell of fallen angel, devils and church slaves. And above all of those things, I had to keep a low profile so that I could keep my life intact and my bloody diet. * I don't own High School DxD or Strike the Blood Same thing with the cover. The only thing that I own are my OC and the changes that I would make. * Also this is a fan fiction aka an AU world so for the love of the God, don't start yelling that in the original that didn't happened or that it went completely different : I know and I don't care. Chapter 30

Yukina tried to rebuke me, her voice frail and seemingly panicked by what was about to happen. But on contrary to what she was expecting to happen, I only embraced her, calming myself down as I didn't want to force her to become something that may endanger her life more than watching me and being my girlfriend.

"Thanks, Yukina. I can do this now."

My vampiric impulses having been sufficiently heightened, I promptly let go of Yukina.

"Eh…? D-do what?"

Yukina looked back at me with an absentminded expression. The slight flush on her face was rather cute.

"Er, um… Senpai?"

However, as Yukina did so, I quickly turned my back on her, leaning against the wall while looking into the living room

"What do I own the pleasure of seeing you again?"

In the living room sitting on the couch, was the same man that save Vali from an early trip to Death's cold hands. I may not be able to see him since it was still dark In the room, but that doesn't mean that my other senses can't pick up his presence.

"I've got to say that I'm rather impressed. Usually, people don't feel my presence until I want them to know that I'm close."

"It comes with the whole package if you know what I mean. Now, tell me, why did you come here? It is for revenge?"

"No, no, nothing like that. I'm here to apologize on his behalf. "

"Unexpected, but nonetheless, welcomed. You may already know this, but I'm Akatsuki Kojou and this is my girlfriend Himeragi Yukina. "

"Nice to meet you two, I'm Azazel, the Governor-General of the Fallen Angels and Grigori, and at the same time the father of that battle maniac. I know that it doesn't matter how many times do I ask you to forgive him, but can you two please forget about this? I'm willing to pay whatever it takes."

When I heard his words, the first thing that I remember was the words of my mother when she talked with my father about some important guy: " When you are talking with someone stronger or more influential than you, you don't have to appear weak in front of him, since they hate that. Be strong and don't back down unless it's the last thing you have to do."

While dad managed to get us a rather big house after that, I remember that at least once a week he would go with some men to work on something, and now that I've remembered that, those men, were wearing the clothes of those monks from one of the five great clans that serve the Shino Gods.

"Fine, Azazel-san, we are willing to forgive him, but we have to pay the price and it will be costly."

"Anything, just tell me and it shall be done."

Something's clearly fishy here, seeing how scared he seemed, maybe he knows Chisato-nee? After all, I don't believe that he could come inside this house without her permission. Not only did Natsuki-chan fortify the place as if we were preparing for a magical apocalypse, but she also put quite a few nasty traps for any idiots brave enough to force their way inside.

'Now, what should we get from him? '

I turned my head towards Yukina and I saw that she was as clueless as me regarding what should we ask as compensation.

Fortunately or maybe not, Azazel decided to speak before asking for our opinion.

"What do you say about getting the whole building for yourself, plus a few security upgrades, a piece of information that's the best-wet dream of a devil, and finally, if you want, of course, me as a teacher. I may not look like one, but as much as it pains me to admit, I'm quite old and I got a thing or two about your inheritance and maybe I could help you out."

To be honest, Azazel's offer is quite good, but on the other hand that would give him an edge just in case, I'd ever show any intention of wanting to join any faction. Yet at the same time, I'd benefit extremely from having a proper teacher to teach me how to fight and control my powers, and while Yukina can help me learn how to defend myself, she isn't that proficient when it comes to being a vampire progenitor.

"You win, Azazel-san. We'll accept your offer."

"Thank father for that. Now I don't need to fear that I'll die. Thank you Kojou-kun. Consider everything already done."

As soon as he said those words, Azazel left, leaving me with a rather angry Yukina to deal with. Seeing that he left I sighed with relief.

Next to me, Yukina remained impressively unemotional as she picked up the silver spear.

"Senpai…what are you doing?"

The cold tone in Yukina's voice was identical to that from when we had first met.

Somehow, I felt a glacial chill upon my spine as I turned my face to her.

"I, ah, I thought that we could get some compensation from him. We deserve something for getting attacked by a member of his faction, especially when it's his son, right? Not to mention that we could benefit from having friendly relations with Grigori."

"So you're saying that, in other words, you dealt with him so that you get to befriend him so that you could see those sexy fallen angels?"

The tone of Yukina's voice was filled with unconcealed, cold anger. I, not understanding the reason she'd become angry, made a timid nod, fearing that I may lose my most important parts if I make her even angrier than she is right now.

"Th-that's what it is. To save our lives from certain death, we couldn't win against if we made an enemy out of him, I had no choice. Right, no choice."

With my words, I firmly pressed the justice of my own cause. Surely there had been nothing mistaken about what I've done. On the contrary, it should have been praiseworthy behavior, right?

However, Yukina's expression did not change. Indeed, emotion had completely vanished from her.

"I see. If that is so, why did you direct such lewd behavior at me?"

"Er, ah. I didn't do that out of any lewd feelings, but… In other words, to calm me from doing something stupid, I have to work myself up a bit…"

My unsteady words faltered. Sexual arousal was the trigger for vampiric impulses, yet at the same time, those desires could be used to calm my feral side. Having said that, I couldn't just deal with Azazel when I was ready to jump on the first enemy and drank his or her blood until he or she dies.

"I mean, certainly you're kind of my sexy type, Himeragi, but there wasn't anyone else, so I had to work with what I had… I just needed to get your help, a bit and I don't believe that you didn't enjoy the little pleasure your boyfriend inducted to you by doing that."

"…Work with what you have…is it? There was no one else, so you had no choice…Does that mean that if Abe-san or even Sona-san were here…you would have just ignored me and go for their slightly developed bodies instead ?"

Yukina was looking down as her shoulders began to tremble. As she did so, I realized my verbal slip. The way I'd put that just now was mean-spirited, but I didn't know how else to explain it. I didn't have a particular preference when it comes to girls' bodies, but maybe I should have put it in other words…

Finally, Yukina's icy expression shattered, her eyebrows shooting up as she glared.

Her face was in a rage, even as she seemed she might cry at any moment.

"Senpai, you can sink to the bottom of the sea for all I care! Idiot!"

As she yelled, Yukina swung the broken Snowdrift Wolf downward.

It was Kuoh, one of the devil's rented territories. In one of the apartment buildings, the cries of the Fourth Primogenitor reverberated all around.
