Guy woke up a few hours later. He had only slept for six hours and still had three more hours until he could dive again. He felt surprisingly rested, even with the low amount of sleep. He began his morning, which just so happened to come at 7pm, by doing his usual routine of physical exercise. It was nothing hardcore, he did pushups, situps and went for a run. After his usual two mile run he returned to his small apartment. He had used this same exercise routine for the last three years. Every morning he would perform it. he was neither fast nor slow, and averaged thirteen and a half minutes. He was in good form today and had finished 5 seconds faster than his average.

He felt good after his run, slightly out of breath, but nothing he wasn't used to. He wiped the sweat off his brow before heading to the shower. He felt odd completing his morning routine in the evening, but it was something he would adjust to in time.

Even with all of his morning routines done he had an hour to kill. He decided to make the most of the time he had left and studied the runes he had been able to bring back with him. Even though he had only brought back around 5% of what was available there was still around 20 of them. The number of runes and formations were truly staggering, and this was only the beginners ones. He could not imagine just how many there would be for the higher categories.

The remainder of his time was quickly, and it was soon time for him to dive again.

=======================================

He reappeared in the engine room of the ship. Esabel was nowhere to be seen, but there was a pile of repairs on his work bench. He did not see anything new and quickly began to go to work.

The repairs on the bench took him around 5 hours to complete. The number he had was less than he had yesterday, in addition he had gained an increase in his repair speed so the process went by rather quickly. He still had around four hours until it was time for his four hour nap, so he busied himself with studying the runes. He was able to memorize another twenty of them, but did not dare go any further.

When he finally looked up from the monitor he noticed that Esabel still was not present, and there was still two hours left until he could take his nap. Not having anything else to do He made his way over to the room with all of the broken parts and began to look around.

Inside he found almost everything he could imagine. There were several different types of broken weaponry. There were guns, swords, crossbows even something that resembled a light saber. There were things like radios and computers, anything you could imagine. But what really caught his interest was a pair of goggles. They seemed to have been attached to something else originally, but the cord on it had been severed. Other than the that the goggles were in great condition.

He smiled as he thought of his glasses back home. They were his most prised possession, not the most valuable by far, but his first step into the path of engineering, the first step into his path as a mechanic. It was only fitting that they be his first invention here as well.

He took the goggles into his hands, examining them as he admitted their design. These glasses were equipped with both infrared and night vision capabilities. The cord had been attached to something, more than likely a power source of some kind. He did not hesitate to take the goggles back to his workbench.

He looked at the outside of the goggles and began to draw the design on a sketch pad that was on his work bench. The design was sleek, with dials on the lenses, more than likely for switching between the modes of vision. He carefully sketched the outward design of the goggles, capturing the image in several different view points.

When he was done with his sketches he began to take apart the goggles, making notes and sketches during each step. The process took over an hour, soon he had a completely disassembled set of goggles on his work bench. As he had suspected the cord was to be attached to a power source. This told him that the goggles were a rather primitive technology in the infinite universe, it was not powered by the energy orbs and abundant energy available.

Speaking to himself aloud "If I were to replace the power source with one of the runic formations they goggles would be able to run much smoother, and not have the need to be attached to an outside source. It would also gree up a lot of space in the hardware of the glasses themselves. I should be able to utilize this space to install the hardware needed to mimic my glasses back on earth..."

Guy left his work bench, lost in his own train of thought as he once again headed toward the room with all of the scraps. His mind was whirling with ideas about what step he should take. "I probably should find a small enough computer system that I can fit it into the goggles, but I will need to link it with the monitors here so that I can design the programs needed for the goggles to work like mine back home" He mumbled to himself as he walked right into the basically naked body of sergeant Esabel.

Guys eyes opened with shock as he realized his hands hand unconsciously held on to what he ran into. The object of course was the beautiful orc women's firm behind. Esabel looked at him the a visage of fury as her hand reached out and slapped him. Her red face grew a shade deeper as she looked at the half orc before her.

"Hmph and here I thought you could "resist" your instincts. mind your hands or you will find yourself as docile as the other males aboard this ship private."

"Private?" He thought aloud. Esabel nodded. "That's where I've been all this time. I had the captain request for you to officially become my apprentice. There was a lot of red tape, and the humans did not want to agree at first. You are officially a member of the orc tribe, though you keep your status as a member of humanity. Any crimes you commit are subject to orc and human law. On the bright side you will recieve housing, aka the room with all the parts in it, and three meals a day. Plus supplies and even pay. Welcome aboard private."
