The End of The Second Floor

On top of the platform, Hansung Yu started to talk, "Before I start to explain the rules of the exam, I have to announce that the administrator has forbidden Kaizen Ziel from participating in this exam."

Then he pointed at Kaizen and said, "For now, you should wait here with us, I will talk with you after I finish this explanation and the rest leaves for their exam."

Although he was surprised Kaizen nodded without saying a word. Meanwhile, Areum and Kyong both looked at him with confusion. Still, they had already decided to participate in this test. So, both continued to listen to Hansung Yu as he explained the rules, and both decided to ask him about it after their test was done.

"So, with these being the rules, Lero Ro will led all of you with the exception of Kaizen to the test spot." Said Hansung Yu after he had finished explaining everything needed.

Following it, Lero Ro started to walk to the exit located south of the platform as he said, "Follow me."

Seeing all the regulars along with Lero Ro leaving, Kaizen looked at Hansung Yu with a questioning look.

Staring at his eyes, Hansung Yu started to talk with a smile on his face, "I was quite surprised when I discovered that there were so many irregulars in one place. But, for now, although the administrator has not given any reasons for forbidding you. Instead, he has chosen to give you the choice to participate in an individual test. Should you agree to take part in it, you will be rewarded at the end."

With a bit of confusion in his face, Kaizen nodded as he replied, "What is this test? What is the reward?"

"Will you accept it or not? The administrator has said not to disclose any of it before you do so." Said Hansung Yu as a smirk could be seen on his face.

Thinking about it for a while, and knowing that even after all this training, he was still not strong enough to survive in the future. Kaizen chose to accept it as a chance to become even stronger as he said, "I accept to participate in this test."

Laughing a bit to ease a bit of the tension in the air, Hansung Yu began to explain, "The instructions are quite simple. You will only have to enter then room I am going to show you and get out of it by yourself."

Blinking for a moment, Kaizen tilted his head a bit to the right as he asked, "Is it really just that?"

"Of course, also, you will only know the reward after you finish this test." Said Hansung Yu with a calm smile as he pointed towards the exit and said, "Let us depart."

Following him, Kaizen reached a room with a runic circle which contained a complex order of geometriacal and irregular shapes on it.

"Enter this area, you will then be transported to inside the room you will take your test in." Said Hansung Yu pointing at the circle.

Nodding, Kaizen silently walked up to the circle and after a few seconds, his surroundings changed entirely. The only thing he could see in the room was a white fog thick enough that he could not see the floor nor the walls.

But, after a few moments, Kaizen suddenly feel asleep.

Waking up in a bed with white sheets and a gray cover, Kaizen who could not remember anything at all regarding who he was took a moment to look around the room.

It had white walls and ceiling, and a grey floor which seemed to shine a bit. Next to his bed, he could see a bedside table with two closed drawers. On it, there was a calendar, a clock, and a lamp.

While, on the opposite wall, he could see a dressing table with a small chair and a big mirror. Other than that, this room seemed to be filled with shelves with various decorations on them and a chest in front of the bed. Other than that, he could see two white doors made of wood.

Though it looked simple, the room seemed to be extravagant for Kaizen, so, taking a minute to look at the what the shelves had, he got up from the bed to see that he was wearing a pajama with white and grey stripes on it.

Following that, he started to walk towards the door on the right side of the room. But, just as he was about to reach it, a woman opened the door, reacting fast, Kaizen was barely able to dodge the door which was coming to his face by jumping backwards.

Looking to see who was about to just hit his face, he was stunned for a few seconds. She had long black hair, a pretty face, full red lips, a big chest and big thighs. She was wearing a traditional black and white maid outfit.

With a hand on the top of her mouth as she saw that she had almost hit her master in the face, the maid proceeded to bow as she said, "I am sorry master. I didn't think you would be behind the door since you are usually sleeping at this time. If you feel like I deserve it, I will take any punishment for my transgressions."

Not knowing how to respond to the serious maid bowing in front of him, Kaizen said, "I do not mind your carelessness, so, if you could rise up, I would feel more comfortable. Also, you said I am your master, who are you?"

Getting up, the maid had a surprised expression on her face as she said, "I am Sara, the maid who had been assigned to serve you by your father. We have been living together since we both were three years old. You are joking about not recognizing me, right?"

Looking at her again, Kaizen shook his head as he said, "You said you were assigned by my father, who is him? Also, who am I? I can't remember much at all."

With an anxious expression on her face, she said, "You are Kaizen Ziel, the son of the CEO of the greatest computer company to ever exist, KIMA. You have been born twenty years ago, and your father and mother are named Antei Ziel and Mariem Soris respectively. Can't you remember any of that?"

"No, I can't remember any of that." Replied Kaizen as he shook his head.

Seeing that her master was not joking, Sara said, "I will go tell your father about this. For now, stay in the room and wait for me."

After that, the maid quickly left the room heading towards the office of Antei Ziel in the third floor of their mansion.

Seeing her leaving, Kaizen went towards the other door as he opened it hoping to see if there is anything there to help him remember anything.

The room beyond this door had a sofa, with a large television, and various game sets on it. It also had both desks and chairs for a pc and a laptop with customized cases, keyboards and mouses. To the side of this room, Kaizen could another door.

Deciding to check the game consoles later on, Kaizen headed towards the other door only to find a room full of closets, where at its end, laid another door. This one leading to a large bathroom with a jacuzzi, a bathtub, and a showering cab along with other furniture in it.

Seating on the sofa placed in front of the television, Kaizen spent some minutes trying to remember who he was. But, seeing that he could not remember anything at all, he decided to take a shower before changing his clothes.

After thirty minutes had passed, Kaizen could be seen wearing a pair silver t-shirt and black jeans, his long white hair still glistening due to being wet. In his hands, a XBOX controller could be seen as he started to play Assassins Creed.

Interrupting his mid-game, Sara suddenly entered the room saying with a hushed expression as she said, "Master, forgive me for my sudden entrance, but after knocking a few times on the door without hearing any answer. I got worried that something had happened and rashly entered your room."

Pausing his game, Kaizen looked towards her as he said, "I don't mind, but, what did my father say about this?"

Taking a breath, Sara looked at her young master with a surprised expression as she said, "Didn't you forget everything? How come you are playing games after having taken a shower?"

"I just opened the door to this room, and after taking a look at the items, I just knew how to use them." Replied Kaizen taking a glance at his screen.

Wiping sweat from her forehead, Sara said, "It is good that you have not forgotten everything. For now, your father has already asked for an appointment with the doctor. He said for us to go directly after breakfast."

Going down the stairs, Kaizen could not help but look upwards as he could see the existence of three floors above the one that contained his room. This made him wonder about the immensity of the mansion. But, with Sara leading the way towards the dinner room. He had no choice but to follow after her.

Seeing the long black table surrounded by luxurious chairs along with a chandelier and some candles and plates on the top of the table.

Having finished his delicious breakfast, Kaizen and Sara could be seen inside a black Porsche along with a butler wearing a black suit that was supposed to drive them to the doctor.

It didn't take long before Kaizen reached one of the most prestigious hospitals in the country. And, after a series of questions and examinations, Kaizen was diagnosed to have retrograde amnesia related to his identity and the identity of the other humans. But they were not able to discover the cause of his amnesia.

Due to this, the doctor could do nothing but advice Sara that Kaizen had to perform activities he used to do with others along with seeing places he was familiar with in hopes that he starts to remember or relearns what he used to know.

It was not easy, but with a few months having passed, Kaizen was quickly able to adapt to his life. He has been studying computer engineering in the most prestigious university of the country for the last three years, and he only had one year left to finish. So, it was good that he was able to easily remember all information regarding it by looking at his books.

Other than studying, playing games, and reading stories, Kaizen had to meet up with a girl three times a week. She was his fiancée, something which had been arranged by both of their parents. Yet, since both Kaizen and the girl named Rosa had agreed to it after their first meeting, both were able to accept the matter without any troubles.

Rosa was an astonishing beauty with fair skin and blonde long hair. Her body had a nice figure, and her face was quite pretty. She had a king and calm personality. Meanwhile, Kaizen was a handsome young man with rich parents. Thus, with them having many games they liked to play in common, it didn't take much for both to start liking each other.

One year passed, Kaizen graduated from his major as he was given the position of vice-director in his father's company. With that, it didn't take much time for him to marry Rosa. As a gift for their marriage, his father ended up buying Kaizen a mansion for him to live with Rosa along with various furniture for it. In addition to that, he gained a white Lamborghini as a gift from his mother.

Another year passed; Rosa was pregnant with a girl. So, celebrating that he would have a daughter, Kaizen could be seen along Rosa and Sara in their living room by eating sweets and playing games.

Ten years later, Kaizen who had groomed a long bear could be seen marrying Sara after Rosa's agreement. And although it was weird to have four of his children, three girls and one boy attending his wedding to another girl. Everything ended in a success.

Now, after another ten years had passed, Kaizen who was now forty-two years old could be seen at the wedding of his oldest daughter out of his fifteen sons and daughters. He had already inherited the position of president of the company, and with him putting some effort towards his work, everything seemed to be going fine.

Twenty years later, Kaizen could be seen relaxing at his home along with Rosa and Sara. The two were treated equally by Kaizen, and although problems would emerge every here and then between them, both girls had a friendly relation to each other. Kaizen choosing to retire early passed his position to his oldest son. And now that all his children were already married, he had a lot of free time.

Ten years later, a method to reverse old age was found although it was very costly. But being one of the richest persons in the world, Kaizen was able to get it done for him and his wives. This in turn ended up extending their lifespan for another one hundred years.

Thirty years later, with him still appearing like a young adult, Kaizen could be seen relaxing in a bunker along with his family. A nuclear war had started two years before, but, having already prepared for everything he would need in his bunker that was made to protect him from any radiation or explosions, Kaizen still had everything a person would need and more.

Yet, at that moment everything suddenly stopped, an eerie cold voice appeared in his ears as he was asked, "Would you prefer to be able to live along with your family like that forever? Or would you prefer to have the chance to experience new things and improve yourself?"

Being asked this question, Kaizen could not help but hesitate, he was living what he considered to be a near perfect life without ever having any issues while being able to seek happiness and pleasure whenever he wanted. He had no reason to desire much more when he already could have everything he wanted after all.

But an inkling of a feeling was born as he was thinking about this. He could not help but feel curious about what it would be like to choose the second option. He wanted to be able to experience new things and he wanted to be able to become even better.

This all led to a dilemma to rise inside Kaizen, his rational, logical side could not help but want to choose the first part. But his emotional, curious side could not help but want to see new things.

Thus, Kaizen could not help but stop and consider the matter more deeply. Something which only made him think that the first option would be the better one.

But it was at that moment that he imagined himself living happily in the same way forever and ever. This made Kaizen feel a bit of rejection. A feeling that this was not enough. A feeling that he wanted even more. Thus, without any gleam of hesitation seen in his eyes, Kaizen chose the second option.

At that moment, Kaizen suddenly woke up inside the foggy room feeling that a very long time had passed. Yet, the fog suddenly subsumed as a door could be seen at the end of the room.

Without any hesitation, Kaizen opened that door and exited the room after remembering the contents of his exam.

There, outside his room, stood Hansung Yu as said with a smile on his face, "Congratulations, you have passed your test."

"How much time has passed?" Asked Kaizen interrupting the director as he felt like a whole lifetime had passed.

Hansung Yu tilted his head for a second before he returned to normal and said, "About six hours had passed since you started the test. Although, the other regulars have finished their exam one hour earlier than you."

Wiping out the sweat in his forehead, Kaizen sighed as he asked, "What will be my reward?"

Looking at how eager Kaizen seemed to be for the reward, Hansung Yu said, "The administrator has said for me to give you this ring. It can save you from dying once. If the time ever comes you are about to die, as long as you are wearing it, this ring will fully restore your conditions to your optimum before teleporting you one kilometer away in a random direction. Then, it will be destroyed."

Wearing his reward on his right index finger, Kaizen looked at it in more detail. It seemed to be made of silver. Its body full of runic inscriptures as at its top, a blue gem laid out.
