First Day of School (I)

So finally after ten minutes of strenuous work, Mark finally managed to wrap the bandage around her body covering the important parts while also successfully covering up the many small wounds that she had received.

At the moment there wasn't much left that Mark could do. The girls injuries were too large for him to use the free medicine to heal it, however as if it was planned the clone who had been sent out to deliver the task had returned holding a bottle of silver liquid inside of a jade jar.

When Mark had withdrawn the clone he had found out the they had earned a total of 600 credits, however this sudden wealth didn't last long as the clone had exchanged 500 of the credits for the bottle of silver liquid.

It's a potion similar to regeneration potions within a game. It would slowly heal and mend a person's body focusing on an efficient regenerations rather than a quick one.

This might sound magical, however its potency was tiny. At most it would be able to allow the girl to have the ability to wake up. As for walking? Forget about it.

However the rich and powerful families would easily be able to purchase much stronger potions. The potions don't have specific ranks, rather they are judged on their potency. The higher the potency the more effective and longer duration.

This was because the crafter was able to extract more power from the plants used to produce the potions.

Generally cheap potions like the one Mark now has barely contains 5% of the original materials, meaning a skilled crafter could produce it with the scraps of the needed materials.

Whereas the expensive potions used by the noble families generally have potencies higher than 20%.

The crafters of these potions were called alchemists.

Becoming an alchemist requires not only skill but also incredible strength. Alchemists can use their spiritual energy to separate the spiritual energy in plants into cauldrons allowing them to mix and slowly form potions.

However it requires immense control over their spiritual energy as it could easily go wrong and cause the energy in the herbs to go haywire.

At the same time it requires the strength to overpower the spiritual energy in the herbs. After all, various potions need herbs that could even have the spiritual energy compared to Great warriors or even higher.

However Alchemists that produce low level potions aren't rare. Many warriors would become an alchemist as a side job, one reason was because it helps them practice the control over their spiritual energy, while the other reason was that it made a lot of money.

However this influx of alchemists also caused the price of low potency potions to drop in price drastically, which allowed Mark to be able to buy this silver potion.

Mark leaned over the girl's head and slowly pried her mouth open with his hands.

He opened the cap of the potion before pouring it down her throat.

The girl gulped it down like it was a godly elixir, which in her situation it was, before finally the bottle was empty.

Naturally for such a low level elixir there would be very few instantaneous effects, except a slight discomfort on the girl's face there was no other reaction.

A couple of hours passed and it was currently 9:00pm, Mark was hoping that the girl could wake up quickly.

Today was the final day before he had to officially attend school. Mark couldn't just send a clone on the first day, after all it would be difficult for them to adapt to unexpected situations.

They have the same experience and intelligence as Mark, and he hadn't had that much experience in dealing with unexpected situations. After all he had been in a governmentally controlled group for the entirety of his previous life. The girl lying on his bed was a clear example of this.

If Mark had more experience in dealing with things like this then it would've been easier for the clone to adapt to the situation.

However it was a learning experience, after the clones are recalled he will slowly gain more and more experience.

At this moment, the girl started to squirm on the bed, her limp arms curling slightly. Mark knew this was the effect of a low grade healing potion.

Low grade potions would often cause various side effects such as itching or slight stabs of pain in the treated area, while most high quality potions would be void of these side effects.

Mark summoned a clone next to him to look after the girl while she was unconscious before heading to sleep. Even if she had the potion she would not wake up for a couple of days at least. After all, her entire back was crushed and shattered.

Mark on the other hand had to prepare for class tomorrow. He was provided a basic manual telling him what he needed for school.

As well as the traditional equipment to make notes with, the only thing that Mark needed to bring was his watch.

The next day Mark got up and put on his uniform and a small satchel carrying a set of paper and pens. The girl was still unconscious so he had slept on the small sofa in the room.

The clone was watching her, occasionally wiping the sweat off her face. Seeing this scene Mark didn't get involved and quickly left the dorm.

Currently it was barely past 7am and the arrival time in the classroom was 8am. However Mark needed enough time to find the classroom that he was in today.

Today's lesson was the basics of the world, and a description of all the available classes.

Mark hurried towards the classroom, luckily the watch on his hand once again showed a small map that led towards the classroom. When he arrived at the classroom, he saw a long line of students waiting outside the classroom nervously.

Standing right at the back was Sam, however he had a sense of relief on his face. Of course Mark knew why. Since Mark had crushed that warrior the others hadn't shown up again.

Mark walked up to the back of the line but didn't start talking to Sam . He had returned the favour and didn't plan on talking to him more.

It sounded mean, however he was going to get stronger and stronger while Sam didn't have the talent. He didn't want to be targeted because of Sam.

Furthermore he didn't have an extremely deep friendship with Sam, more like a quick debt that had already been paid.

''All students come in.'' A sweet melodious, yet familiar voice came from within the classroom.

The line of students awkwardly shuffled in. When Mark finally made his way into the classroom he saw a long haired beauty standing in front of the hall.

''It's her??'' Mark looked at the familiar figure and was stunned. It was definitely the woman who helped his clone.

However this time she wore a sleek silver mask covering her face showing only a set of pearly silver teeth and beautiful eyes.
