Chapter 11: Rendezvous

Silence covered the room. Not the awkward one. Crickets sound as a prop was the only absent.

Yeah, maybe I was overreacting. Maybe I wasn't used like this since we were not like this in the past.

But, I couldn't focus. All I did for the past hour was to stare at them. How unprofessional of me? But, could you blame me? Even what happened in the past didn't intervened on missing this kind rendezvous.

Yino was busy fixing the evidences.

Lark studying the case.

Tivo reviewing some evidences.

While me, holding the related cases instead of reading these.

Lark looked at me that made me startled. "Are you just going to stare at us?"

"O-Oh, I'm-I'm sorry." I then, shook my head.

I focus on what I was reading but I can't help glancing at them.

They seemed so professional. -Oh! I think I'm wrong.

Triptivo got the reading glasses of Lark from his face. Lark sighed and then got Yino's reading glasses. When Yino was about to get his reading glasses after wiping his face, his eyes caught it at Lark's face. Knowing Yino, it was dilemma for him for not wearing a reading glasses.

Yino's neck was getting red. He was about to say something when he looked at me, then sighed so deeply, closed his eyes and held the bridge of his nose.

Okay? What was that?

Minutes later, my eyes caught how Yino simply pushed the ordered papers of Triptivo.

Triptivo glared at Yino. For a fact, Triptivo hated mess. He looked at me, forcedly smirk and sighed.

Seriously? What was going on between them?

Then, we went back to our own tasks. I wondered what was going on.

Yino cleared his throat. "Lark, will you hand me the water?" then he smiled sweetly.

"Here," Lark held the bottled water.

"Can I have some wipes?" Triptivo asked.

I was about to get wipes at my back when Triptivo uttered again, "Lark, can you please give me wipes?"

A few seconds...

"My reading glasses, please?" Yino didn't even shot a glance at Lark who annoyingly removed the reading glasses and gave it to him.

Uh, one thing that Lark irritate the most when he was interrupted continuously while he's busy.

I sighed. I think I should separate them from each other. They seemed annoying each other since we came.

"Lark?" I called.

"What?!" he raised his voice and annoyance was evident. His eyes widened a bit when he looked at me. "Uh-I'm sorry," guiltily, he looked away. "What?" this time he spoke in a soft tone then looked at me.

Huh? Did he just do the 'take 2'?

And just like that. Our day ended with the continuously and secretly annoying each other. I wanted to laugh at their dumbness. They could speak that they were annoyed but they chose to smile sarcastically. Seriously? What's off with them?

Actually, I expected a storm but a sharp drizzled poured.

The silence was bugging me until we went home. My eyes always caught their childish acts with each other.

I sat holding my homemade iced coffee. "We're okay, right?" fake laugh then withdrawn by my mouth.

Both Yino and Lark looked at me. They were both at the opposite edge of the couch. But, that doesn't hindered how they annoyed each other.

"I guess?" Lark stated then focus his attention at the tv.

Yino raised his brow. "We are okay unless you are not," he also then looked at the television.

Strange.

"U-Uh-"

I was cut off when Lark spoke, "Just watch, Cynwise. We are busy watching."

Honestly, I wanted to be mesmerize the way he enunciate my name. But somehow, I wanted to laugh.

"I thought you don't like Cinderella," I slowly spoke waiting for their reaction.

Lark eyed at me with a bored look. "I just want to know why she ate the apple. Curiosity, 'ya know," he proudly said.

"I want to know how the beast find her," Yino seconded after a second.

I wanted to burst out laughing but I did all of my best to restrained it.

"Cinderella is the disney princess who left her shoe."

Lark suddenly stood up, "O-Oh, yeah! I'm sleepy." He, then left.

Yino looked at me. "I was kidding earlier," then he left. Him, slapping his forehead didn't escape my eyes.

What was happening to them?

Honestly, I was just kidding. Detective Conan was showing. Their mind was just too clouded that they didn't even know I was lying.

Morrow came. As usual, we were at the interrogation room.

Just like yesterday, weirdness attacked at the three.

I shook my head and focus at what I was doing.

A loud thud made me startled. I looked where it came from. It was Yino who slapped the table.

I was about to asked him what was the problem when he exclaimed, "I can't do this anymore. I really hate you, two."

"Did we ask?" Lark innocently asked.

"Darn you!" Yino calmly but firmly stated.

"What is happening?" I slowly asked.

Yino sighed. "I coudn't take this anymore! Acting like nothing happened? Like everything was okay? Tsk."

Lark sighed. "We never ask you to act. We just want all of us to be professional. Like what Cynwise is doing."

"Do you think that it is all so easy?" he snorted. "Oh, well! You don't know how we--"

"Enough, Yino." I cut him off. I think this wan't the perfect time for us to blame each other, count the pains we received and spill how we suffered.

Triptivo smiled. I-I can say that was a genuine one. "No, Wisteria. Let him. Uhm-it's better if you will excuse us."

I hate to admit it but, my heart pounded when he called me Wisteria. I don't know why but, I sensed sincerity on it.

"Why Tivo, huh? Aren't you embarrassed? You, unsteady!"

I don't know if I should be relieved or not. I know Yino called Triptivo unsteady so the topic would change. He knew it wasn't the time for stepping out the line.

"D-Did y-you just call me unsteady?" Triptivo asked full of disbelief.

Yino nodded proudly.

"Am I?" he turned to Lark with wide eyes. The latter nodded.

He looked at me. His eyes soften as well as his voice when he asked me, "Am I?"

I forced a smile and nodded.

"What kind of-argh! Sheepish freak Yino!" Tivo countered.

Yino widened his eyes. "Wh-"

"Shhh. That is an ultimate fact Yino," Lark cut off.

"Shut up, messy b¡tch!" Triptivo and Yino exclaimed.

Looking at Lark's reaction. He won't really accept what the two called him.

Gosh! They're too old for name-calling, aside from the fact that they were professionals.

I closed my eyes so firm out of frustration. This was just an appetizer of their childish leverages, for sure.

"OUCH!" I heard Triptivo shouted.

"What happened?" I asked.

"I didn't mean striking a pen at you. No offense, just a matter of job." Yino calmly said.

Of course, that was intentional. Psh!

"Liar! When did your job also covered on throwing a pen on me hardly?!"

Triptivo didn't want to lose at this kind of argument. Knowing Triptivo and Yino were both competitive.

Goodness Gracious! I think will get old so fast because of them.

I heard Lark hissed, "How childish!"

Oh! Coming from him, really?

"E? Like you aren't too!" Yino sarcastically said.

Then they started firing words at each other. I slapped my forehead.

"Hey? Gu--"

"Just keep quite first there," Yino raised his voice.

Triptivo exclaimed, "Don't raise your voice at her!"

"Oh really, kids?" Lark annoyingly commented.

I was heating up. They were like a hens who were suffering difficulties on laying eggs, kept on squawking.

"What the heck?"

"Stating a fact."

"Unfortunates."

I hope they would stop. Annoyance slowly crept on me. They still don't stop bickering.

"Unsteady!"

"Sheepish freak!"

"Messy bitch!"

I...can't...take...this...anymoreeee!

I stood up and intentionally created a noise to get their attention. "ARGH! WILL YOU SHUT UP? SHUT UP! SHUT UP! SHUT UP!" I shouted as much as I can. Three shut up for each of them.

I don't know if shouting at them was a good thing but,--

"Did she just shout?" Yino asked like he was just dreaming earlier.

Oh my?

"Cynwise shouted?" Lark whispered at himself.

goodness!

"Did my Wisteria shouted?" Triptivo looked at me with wide eyes.

Like a button clicked.

"Did you just say 'my Wisteria'? C'mon, she wasn't yours," Yino contradicted.

"Wake up, Triptivo." Lark seconded.

"Bitters," then Tivo rolled his eyes.

I sat down frustratingly. Seriously?

I continuously bang my head at the table. Do they need some mental help? I could get them some.

Thanks to the rubber gasket and this room were sound proof. I had enough of embarrassment. Embarrassment by their leverages. I don't want to add up anymore.

Was this the exchange for being not contented by their silence yesterday? This was the same as the old days. Yeah, it's yesterday once more.
