Finally, the incident came to an end.
Stelle and Gu Tang left the simulated universe.
As Stelle opened her eyes, the first thing she saw was Herta's smug smile.
"Hmph, total victory—Little one, now you know the greatness of Herta," Herta stood with her hands on her hips, clearly in a good mood.
"Was everything part of your plan?" Stelle raised an eyebrow.
"Of course," Herta tossed her long hair back with a flourish. "I don't care about the matters of the space station, but anyone who dares to challenge me will suffer a hundredfold in return."
"Hmm, I've already confirmed that the company has frozen all of Miss Silver Wolf's accounts," said Svarog, standing nearby.
Herta nodded with satisfaction. "I bet that little girl is hugging her computer and crying her eyes out right now, hahaha!"
Leonard, covered in flour, looked pleased as he spoke, "Wonderful, the incident is resolved, and I don't have to worry about getting fired."
Gu Tang frowned, looking at the three hundred pounds of flour piled beside the mill. "Leonard… you're quite capable."
"To think I'd be praised by Lord Gu Tang!" Leonard was thrilled.
"Although the compliment seems to be for something… unrelated," Stelle commented, glancing at Leonard.
Then Stelle asked Svarog, "So, the simulated universe won't be shut down, right?"
Svarog smiled, "Of course not. In fact, the opposite is true. I plan to stay here for a while and see what surprises the new universe branch will bring up close."
Gu Tang nodded, "Herta said she's been inspired lately. Of course, if she messes up the simulated universe, I'll still have to clean up her mess."
Svarog said to Gu Tang, "Hehe, conversely, it's precisely because of your presence that Herta can unleash her talents without restraint."
"Hmm? Did I just hear Gu Tang show interest in my… mess?" Herta, who was typing code on a virtual screen, turned her head sharply.
"You misheard," Gu Tang replied coldly.
"So, the simulated universe will be updated soon, right? I'm looking forward to it," Stelle said eagerly.
Svarog nodded to her, "We'll certainly do our best to meet Miss Stelle's expectations."
Gu Tang, with his arms crossed, said to Stelle, "Don't forget to demand a bigger reward from Herta. If she does something nasty again, use your baseball bat to teach her a lesson."
"Hmm? Did I just hear Gu Tang wants to use his bat to teach me a lesson?" Herta turned her head again.
"You should fix your doll's voice recognition system, Herta," Gu Tang suggested sincerely.
"Hmph, my doll is flawless… There, done," Herta pressed the confirmation button on the virtual screen. "Come on, Gu Tang, let's complete the final step of the plan."
Svarog was a bit surprised. "Oh? There's still another step?"
Stelle looked at Svarog. "Even Mr. Svarog doesn't know?"
"It's natural you don't know, because I only thought of this after hearing Gu Tang would be involved," Herta laughed. "Hehe, just a little something to give that girl a shocking end..."
---
On a certain planet, night had fallen, and neon lights bathed the city.
At the top of a tall building, there were two figures.
One of them was the petite, genius hacker—Silver Wolf.
Standing beside her was a tall woman.
She had dark red hair tied into a stylish ponytail, a pearl earring dangling from her right ear. Her crimson eyes sparkled with a mix of allure and danger.
Unlike Silver Wolf, her figure was curvaceous, like a rose in full bloom, exuding a mature charm with every move.
She wore a white shirt with a tailored black coat draped over her shoulders, black tight-fitting pants, and purple stockings, giving her the elegant aura of a professional lady.
Like a spider with a perfect web, the moment you were drawn to her, you would find yourself inescapably ensnared.
Kafka—a fellow Starlight Hunter, and one the company considered even more dangerous.
"They're gone, all gone, not a single one left… This is too much, too much!" Silver Wolf stared at her phone, her voice filled with helplessness.
Kafka chuckled, "Come on, stop crying and fussing, you're not a child anymore."
"I'm not crying or fussing," Silver Wolf gritted her teeth. "Damn it, I'll remember this grudge… Especially against that Gu Tang guy."
"Oh? It's rare for someone to get on your bad side like this," Kafka remarked, amused.
Silver Wolf clenched her fists. "If that guy hadn't created a bunch of bodies with my likeness, I wouldn't have been so caught off guard..."
"Gu Tang… Ah, I see, the one from the Astral Express, right? I guess I'll be seeing him soon," Kafka stretched lazily.
"Are you talking about the Xianzhou script…? I should warn you, the script's details are fuzzy; you'll never know what means that man will use to reach his goal," Silver Wolf warned Kafka, which was rare.
Kafka smiled, "Isn't that great? A long-awaited sense of surprise awaits me."
Silver Wolf sighed, "For me, it was just a scare…"
And then, something even more frightening happened.
Silver Wolf's phone screen flickered for a few moments.
The next second, a hand reached out from the screen and grabbed Silver Wolf's slender neck.
"—!!" The unexpected event made Silver Wolf's eyes widen.
It was Herta.
She climbed right out of the screen.
Her twisted, eerie movements, with those glowing purple eyes, looked exactly like a ghost from a horror movie.
"Gotcha..." Herta leaned in close to Silver Wolf's face, grinning creepily, whispering softly.
Slash!
A flash of a blade.
A crimson katana cut through, slicing the Herta doll in half at the waist.
The doll's remains fell to the ground, twitching twice, sparking wildly with electric arcs.
"Are you alright?" Kafka slowly sheathed her katana.
Silver Wolf sat down on the ground, touching her neck. "That scared me to death. Since when could Herta do something like this?"
Kafka tilted her head, "Maybe it was something that Gu Tang guy came up with."
---
"Hahaha! Did you see the look on that little girl's face? She went pale with fear!" Herta stood with her hands on her hips, laughing heartily.
Gu Tang looked at Herta. "You just said your dolls were flawless, but you wasted one on such a trivial matter."
Herta waved her finger, "The point is that I had fun, and that's all that matters. I always kick them when they're down, I never let go of a victory. That's the kind of woman I am."
She tossed a glove back to Gu Tang. "Here, you go. Your invention is still as full of surprises as ever."
Gu Tang caught the strange glove and put it away. "Of course, only fitting of me. Alright, if there's nothing else, I'm leaving."
...
...
Gu Tang returned to his room.
Today's events made him feel a bit restless, so he quickly decided to play a few rounds of his game.
He logged into his account smoothly and started looking for his friends…
"Huh?" One of his long-time friends' accounts showed as frozen.
He frowned, "What's going on with this guy? Where am I going to find a worthy opponent now?"
Luckily, a new account sent him a friend request.
**[Forced Process Termination has sent you a friend request]**
**[Note: It's me, your daddy]**
Gu Tang instantly knew, his friend was back.
