It's a trap

Nice is still frozen. And those by her side are just overwhelmed because of the situation ahead. But right here, they feel touched by those words

Mr. Michael clears his throat, seeking their attention "If we'd all die, then it'd be great to start confessing to one another about our feelings, secret, whatever it is"

Everyone just stares at him expectantly, deeming he has something to confess.

"I was around back then when your mom was in college. I've always been the school's tour guide. I wasn't here the day they came for the party but your mom was Jamal's girlfriend. The one who was in love with Emma, the ghost."

Johns and Evan look at themselves. That's their dad's name. And to confirm his statement, he finalizes "Jamal is Evan's and John's dad"

Nice turns to face the boy she loves. Her facial expression is pale.

"This makes sense. Your mom was jealous of Emma and tried to kill her" Jessica taunts

Nice looks at her disgustfully. She knows it's not true. The ghost confirmed to her that her mom saved her life. So how can she be the one who assassinated Emma?

"Yeah, your mom was jealous of her. But she wasn't the only one with that envy. He had three other girlfriends. They all hated Emma. Mrs. Jane never explained to us what happened. However, now I have the impression that those who murdered her where the ladies. They were the only ones in the end of year party who could do such to her. Moreover, they were always close to Mrs. Jana. At first I thought it Mrs. Jana was protecting her students and school name by not revealing the truth to the police. But now it's obvious she just didn't care about the child."

Nice has range, "Why didn't you tell us long ago? Why did you let us come here?"

"I don't know. It happened years ago. And I barely knew what truly happened. To me it was just an accident"

Evan tries to calm Nice. He's holding her hand in assurance.

"My mom is not a murderer. She will never kill someone" Nice stammers, tears streaming over her cheeks

"You told us that she must pay if she has a hand to the victim's dead. And now you're standing for her!" Koryn provokes

"Just shut your fangs there" Johns shushes her and she rolls her eyes.

Evan takes her into his arms "That's ok. I promised you we'd get out of here. Plus, whatever your mom did, I'm sure it was for good. If not Emma's ghost wouldn't tell you she tried to safe her."

Nice just kept crying. His shirt was damp as she pressed her face unto his crate, inhaling his strong scent and taking in his warmth. Jessica is fuming in anger so much so that tears gather in her eyes, threatening to drop.

She really has feelings for Evan. Unlike Koryn who is obsessed because she couldn't get Johns.

Dawn finally comes to view. Everyone goes to pick his/her possession at once. The minute everyone is ready, the walk out of the mystery house.

The bus is ready for them; petrol, gas, everything. They dorm the bus one after the other. Mr. Michael closes the bus and the driver steps on the gas.

"Sir, what happens to Miguel's body?" Aisha inclines, feeling pity.

Mr. Michael sends a corner look over to the child "There's nothing we can do. He's gone. I wished we could burry him but right now is too risky. If the night meets us, we'd be ready to loose more people"

She nods, understandingly. The driver hits the engine and the bus starts moving away from the mansion. Children make a sigh of relief, as they see themselves staring out of the place.

The journey has been a long one. Nice is resting her head against Evan's shoulder. He is robing her head and holding her small hand into his.

She is sad but his presence makes her feel secure. She was unable to sleep yesterday after those tragic incidents. Her lids her becoming heavy as if bags where hanging on either side.

Evan looks at her over his shoulder and notices her slumber. He makes her lean against his crest and she smiles, satisfied.

He kisses her head.

Sleep, sleep, sleep, little bird, He sings and she chuckles over him.

She felt his heart beat sounding into her ears. It was rapid. She teases by putting her palm over his torso. He looks down at her, giggling, his chest vibrating in the process.

"Don't think this is funny." He lets out and she acts as though she's already asleep.

He grins over her face, admiring her small features until she finally drowns in darkness.

Their journey is longer than when they were coming. Mr. Michael is scared that something is going on. And his guess comes to reality when he sees a signboard on the way. It is stained with blood.

He stops the driver and panic returns amongst them.

"What's going on?" someone questions from behind the back seat.

"I'm still to find out" Mr. Michael says about to get down.

"No, Sir. It can be a trap" Evan warns and his voice provokes Nice to wake up. She looks around, eyes wondering.

"Evan, why did we stop?"

He looks at her remorsefully.

"Maybe, Mrs. Evelyn is somewhere around. That's her cloth" their educator excuses

"And what if she's dead. Please, Sir. We should move forward" Evan insist and Mr. Michael doesn't get the message.

He descends the bus, following the stain of blood and Evan rises to go after him. Nice tries to stop him but he's already out of it. Johns goes after his brother and Nice thinks of doing the same but Evan closes the door behind her.

She frowns, screaming "Evan!"

He doesn't look into her eyes. They walk over to Mr. Michael and see him standing in front of bones; flies dancing over the remains. They were certain it was Mrs. Evelyn.

Mr. Michael clenches his jaws. Evan and Johns stare at him "I told you Sir. There's no way she could be alive" Evan repeats

"We should leave this place." Johns is scanning his environment.

They make a pivot turn and match to the bus. Once Evan, and Johns step in the door closes by itself.

They look back to see Mr. Michael struggling to open the door. They try to open it from within but a flash of someone passes and tears his back with a sharp object.

Everyone gasp and Evan orders for the driver to move. Mr. Michael bleeds there helplessly. His face getting paler as he watch his student drive away from him.

There was nothing they could do. Evan ruffles his hair and goes over to Nice who is already weeping.

He wraps her in his arm. What if he was the last to get in?

"I told-you-not to leave" she hits his arm

She exhales heavily "I'm here now" he pats her.

"I'm so scared" she cries, her lips quivering

He just kisses her head and holds her tighter as the bus speeds away. Abi looks at Mr. Michael lying on the road in a pool of blood, her chest bouncing up and down. John closes her eyes with his palm and brings her into his arms.

The student who passed away last night passes away for the second time. Time passes and they see another sigh board showing they are about to go out of Elmont.

Everyone becomes happy. Smiles and sadness for the people lost. The clouds become dark and the wind blows like a tornado. The bus stops on its own. Faces snapping ahead bringing tension amongst one another.

"I can't continue. No petrol" the driver announces, fear is evident over his face.

"What are we going to do now?" Aisha asks

The rain is coming heavily and places are getting darker.

"We need to run. We must get out of Elmont" the cook suggests

Everybody agrees to the suggestion except one. A boy at the back seat, "What if we get killed just like Mr. Michael?"

"This is different. The boundary is not far from here. We can run over" Evan explains.

However the dude seems stubborn.

They walk out and before the last person could leave "Remember that we must stick together. This is your last chance"

The young boy shakes his head "We'd see"
