The queen to be!

I opened the book with extreme happiness.....but what is that??

"What language is it, my princess??, I can tell the writing seems different and unique!"

I didn't show signs of surprise because. I wasn't surprised at all!!

"it is Latin laura...you know I think I understand it all now...something has been not right in this palace for such a long time!" I calmly answered.

"but I'm afraid no one speaks Latin not to mention reading it..." Laura's eyes widened.

i: "no...I can!, my mom made sure I did! she taught me herself..."

I felt relieved and pleased for the first time in a while.

i: "but I still can't understand... it seems like a map....four steps forward....ten steps...from....".

I flipped the papers and started reading the further I go the further you could notice my confusion and frown but at that moment I had to break my silence...

i: "what?? that's weird why would that....?? I need to go meet grandpa I think I'm ready for this conversation with grandpa....." I felt confused.

Laura: "princess what is it that you've discovered...??"

i: "come laura...no time to explain!"

I jumped out of my place locked the book and wore the necklace I stood on a chair and placed the book right on top of the wardrobe....if anyone is after this book now....so it is to destroy it...I don't think they would catch what it comes with!

in king Louis's chamber

"I don't know if we can make it to the coronation day, I think we will have to leave sooner! time is running out!"

confused king Louis said while writing a letter sitting on his desk.

"how far my king??"

the servant asked.

"not much..."

he gave his servant the letter to transfer.

in the previous King's chamber

I entered without Laura to be left with grandpa alone after the guard announced my prescence.

"it's queen victoria my lord"

I frowned.

every time I hear this I feel disgusted!

I didn't want this!

GP: "let her in.."

I: "grandpa.."

GP: "come sit here beside me"

he pointed at the chair next to him in his salon.

I: "I'm sorry for the awful mistake I've done, I got anxious when I knew about the fire, and I've just found myself there..unconscious"

he felt unconvinced at all but the way I said it without giving him a chance to say anything and how the words burst out of my mouth, he chuckled, I felt confused but I felt it was gonna be OK, especially when I didn't bring up how strange the room was.

I: "so did you know how the fire started? grandpa.."

GP: "it was a mistake..but a lot of guards had paid on time, we lost about 10 guards, they were trapped in the fire...all have burnt to ashes! they've got what they deserved!"

what?! 10 guards, he looked confident speaking about this, but it still can be grandpa who didn't find what he was looking for, or maybe that masked guy, he must've cleaned his mess by the fire, where he also after the book?? it can't be Philip who took it, uncle and Peter were with him...

GP: "Victoria!, are you listening?!"

I: "yes grandpa!"

I lost grandpa for a moment.

I: "grandpa I've something to ask, Queen camellia is sick, I need to see her, doctors say she hasn't got long!!, please grandpa.." I tried to gather myself and not lose my courage.

GP: "no..never..you can't leave anywhere before the coronation day that you postponed to mourn enough for your parents and that nonsense you have been to! how dare you stop people from calling you by your rightful title !..you are already in danger and the throne looks weak! you are only supposed to get married to prince Philip and have heirs for the kingdom!!...it's undiscussable!!"

his expression shifted right away..angry grandpa replied while standing and turning his back to Me walking to his office which was right in front of me.

I stayed silent for a moment.

i: "then let's have the coronation day this week!"

GP: "let me be clear...you won't leave the palace before I say so... you won't leave until you get married to prince Philip!"

i: "grandpa I promise you...when I return I'll get married immediately ...you can announce the engagement now.....the trip is about a month then I would marry him in a month and I promise you heirs...please grandpa let me take my time!"

hesitated grandpa sighed.

GP: "you are hard. still, it's a no! you can't do that until you marry him first"

I: "but my grandmother..."

how is he not okay with what I've said?

Go: "it's final!..go back to your room"

I hesitated shocked for a while that I had no choice but to say those words..

" then I won't!"

"you won't?" he didn't exactly understand what I meant.

"I won't marry him, that's over my dead body!"

he steps forward I couldn't move from my place surprised by his behaviour, he held my chin tightly and I already couldn't feel this area any longer of the pain "are you ChAllenging me??!"

I struggled to free myself from his grip but I couldn't lastly I held his hands asking desperately

"pls grandpa, I dare not, I ask you this only one journey and you've already had my word, I promise I would follow your lead after that!"

he freed me from his grip he hesitated for a while wandering around the room and I watched him anxiously.

Gp: "then....after the coronation day...you shall leave with a 100 guard and prince Philip!"

"a hundred guards and prince Philip??"

I was unsatisfied and it was not like I would run away.

"Dare to say no little girl!"

he turned to face me.

I looked down avoiding his gaze.

"then I'll start preparing grandpa"

this is definitely better than nothing.
