Chapter 6: Cousins

Ariadna Pov

"Vard! Legos!"

My father shouted as he walk towards the main entrance. The three of them hugged tightly

"Esteffan! Its been so long!"

"It has been 6 years since we last met. Come! meet my daughter, Ariadna"

Uncle Vard said while patting my father at his back. Father slowly pulled me to the front

"A beautiful one isn't she? Well, Ari I want you to meet your cousins. This is my Eldest son Estann and my daughter Marika"

Uncle Vard said while patting the head of his son. I greeted them with a smile. Red eye color and silver-red hair, they really are descendants of Grandfather Kazimel.

"Ariadna, this is my only son Cabel. Come forward child and greet your cousin"

Uncle Legos said while jokingly pushing Cabel. He was shy. I walked towards him and peeked . He looked at me with those Gold colored eyes. He waved at me as a greeting. Marika held my hand and smiled

"Hi! Im Marika of Kazimel" .

"Hi! Im Estann of Kazimel. Just same age as Cabel"

"Lets go inside shall we?"

Father said while leading the way. Marika was a cheerful child his brother looks so intimidating

"Erden please escort the children to the lobby. We will start our meeting at my study room please follow after"

Father ordered. Erden nodded in reply

"Lets go, Milady?"

Erden said while looking at me . We walked to the lobby and played. After we arrived, Erden not saying anything left us inside. It seemed like hours playing tag and hide and seek. Cabel teached us counting numbers 1-100 while Estann practice his swordmanship. After a few minutes we went to the library and came upon the map of the whole country, Navania.

"Look! its Utria and Ostok. I really wanted to travel there"

"That is where the market and trades happen"

Cabel said while pointing at the map. Marika's eyes was beaming with excitement. I looked at Cabel and asked.

"Have you been there? Big brother Cabel?"

"Yes, I have. I went there with my father to visit Grandfather Ostok. He doesn't have descendants due to his injuries. Thats why my father helps him around"

"Then how about his twin sister? Utria?"

Marika asked. She really was eager to learn about this cheesy rumour. Estann looked at her and continued reading a book. Then he answered.

"Utria's daughter was married off to one of the sons of Monoren"

Monoren? isn't that one of the sons of Tyros? I tucked Estann's sleeve and asked. He looked at me and smiled.

"Isnt Monoren from the North? "

"Yes you're right, not bad for a 5 year old."

"Isn't your mom from Soreka?"

Marika asked something that looks like it was supposed to be confidential. I can see Estann and Cabel's shocked face and looked at Marika. Estann flicked Marika's forehead

"You fool, dont ask that kind of question"

Estann keeps on nagging at Marika. Marika gets teary eyed from his brother's scolding. Well I really don't mind if they ask about my mother. Even though it aches to hear anything about her. Cabel patted my back to comfort me

"Im sorry for what Marika asked. We were aware of what happened to your mother and the crime she committed"

I feel my chest so heavy that I cant even breathe. Reminiscing the things happened that day still imprinted on my mind. It hurts so much. I couldn't take it anymore and ran away from the library.

"Wait! Ari Wait!"

Cabel shouted. I ran to the garden and slump down on the grass full of clovers. My favorite spot. I need air. Its hard to breathe. I clench on my chest and started breathing so hard. My eyes were raining to the pain that I'm feeling. Everything was fuzzy.

"Ariadna?"

Until I turn around to see who called me then I passed out.
