Sworn Enemies

 Zain's point of view....

It is past eight now and yet she is not back yet. I was fully convinced that something had happened to her. She is really missing.

My brain was not functioning and looking for someone at this time of the night will be unfruitful.

I kept trying her line, thinking at some point it will go through. I would have called Lucas but I don't have his digits.

If she is actually with him, she was supposed to be back by now which I doubt she is.

I was still right in the living room with Tasha coming and going often. I had no idea what my cousin and her friends were up to.

"Zain, relax, your sweetheart is fine. You are here worrying yourself when she could be somewhere getting the best night of her life"

Tasha said coming into the living room again.

This is all she does, making funny comments each time she comes here. And those comments of hers don't help my situation at all.

"Funny how we claimed to love someone but never cared them when they are in danger"

I said, giving her a mean look.

"You think I care about her? When I did, was a long time ago. She chose you over me so I am not supposed to care if she is in danger or not."

Tasha said, crossing her arms.

I didn't reply, I had more important things on my mind to think of.

How do people 's feelings change towards you? No human is worth dying for.

For Jenny I know, let it be that Tasha is the one who has gone missing, She would have been worried sick by now. I hope when she comes back, you will realize the kind of person Tasha is.

A loud scream echoed through the house and saw Ava storming into the living room with Emma trailing behind,

"Zain, ain't we going to have dinner tonight?"

She screamed and sat on the couch looking from Tasha to me.

I shook my head and Emma sighed.

"Oh young lady, stop making noise"

Tasha said and Ava glared at her.

"I don't even know what you are doing here. The question I asked was for my brother not for a loser like you"

Ava fired back and I knew right away that these people were sworn enemies back in high school.

"Well you can see that your sweetheart of a brother doesn't want to answer you. You are too loud, people like you should be kept at closed doors"

Tasha retorted, despite how worried I was for Jenny's whereabouts, I smiled at what Tasha said. She was right, Ava and her mother should not be allowed to interact with people, they are so mean but then the one who said that was meaner so I wondered if all over them are going to be kept at closed doors like Tasha suggested.

"I would not allow you insult me here," Ava said then faced me "really, Zain, you sit down there and watch this thing insult me. You should have told me that a lesbian queen is now your sweetheart."

"Oh wait, she thinks I am dating Tasha?"

I thought, shaking my head.

Tasha laughed and Ava rolled her eyes," You think Zain is not tired of you. I am glad you know what I am, a queen who is not afraid to tell the world what she is. Unlike you, who would not admit that she likes girls. You think I don't know the reason you became so mean to Jenny and I? She refused to be your girlfriend"

I was wowed by the revelation. I know Tasha is a lesbian by her actions and her sense of dressing, I wasn't sure though until I saw that text she sent to Jenny but for my beloved cousin to be one, I am surprised.

"Wow, that's too much revelation. I am going to go now to sort things out" I said and stood up," Ava, help yourself fix something to eat. Stop being pompous"

I left after saying that. I did not fail to notice Emma's secret winks at me. The poor girl is trying to shoot her shots.

I stepped into my room and closed the door behind.

It's late for me to do anything so I will just wait until tomorrow.

I strolled to the bed and flipped myself on it.

I had the urge to call someone and instead of calling any of my friends, I decided to call Thomas.

The dude and I are not so close but I found out he has this thing for Jenny, like he genuinely cares for her like a brother would do to a sister and in this case, he would be the right person to talk to.
