Raditz Betrays

Raditz shouted "ANSWER ME KAKAROT." Goku replied "Don't shout. My ears hurt. Just call me Goku. I go by that name". Raditz frowned "Kakarot, what do you mean? And what's with the condition of this planet? Why are the native inhabitants still alive? What are you playing at?" He yelled again. Goku shook his head "I told you not to yell. You are hurting my ear." Raditz got angrier "Kakarot, Why have you not yet killed the native inhabitants? That was your mission".

Goku frowned "I told you not to shout and to call me Goku. I go by that name. And don't tell me what to do. I will do what I want to do." Raditz clenched his fists "You threw away your Saiyan name? Stop messing with me Kakarot". He said. At this time, Mint spoke up "Are you really Goku's brother? You don't look like him". Raditz snorted at her and examined her until his eyes fell on her tail and he stuttered "Y-you are a-also a sa-Saiyan? How come? We were the only saiyans left alive after our planet collided with a meteor".

Mint snorted "Humph... our planet didn't collide with anything. Frieza destroyed our planet after calling back all the saiyans." Mint had heard Goku say that their planet was destroyed by frieza, but was still sceptical about it as she had seen her father's reverence towards frieza. So when they attacked some Frieza's planets to steal their technology, she interrogated some high ranking alien scientists and found the truth.

Raditz surprised hearing this asked "What do you mean Frieza destroyed our planet?" Goku answered "It's as she says. King vegeta that fool attacked Frieza. Frieza called back All the saiyans and exterminated them including the planet". Raditz contemplated for some time then spoke "Then we have to team up and attack Frieza." Mint snorted "With your measly power level? Frieza's power level is around 530,000. You think you can even approach him?" Raditz was taken aback "What do you mean 530000. How can someone have such power level? I don't believe you. You are just making up a story".

Goku spoke "Believe what you want. Now if you behave, you can stay with us here. And destroy your scouter." Raditz started contemplating at this time Luna spoke "Daddy, is he really your brother?" Goku nodded and just now Raditz noticed the little kids who also had tails. He looked at Goku "Are these three your kids Kakarot?" Goku nodded "Yes. They are". Raditz smiled "The more the merrier. Now come join us Kakarot. And you too women." Mint frowned "My name is not woman. It's Mint". Goku laughed. Raditz just rolled his eyes "Whatever".

Goku then spoke again "As I told you before, as you are my brother and a fellow saiyan, you are welcome to stay here. But you have to learn some humility and loose that arrogance." Raditz snorted "Kakarot, with your low power level, don't tell me what to do. If you don't come with me, then fine I'll take your kids. They look promising. Let me see". He then clicked his scouter beep beep and the scouter showed their power levels 400 for Trunks...350 for Gohan .... and 600 for Luna. Raditz shouted "WHAT" and he looked at Goku and Mint it showed a power level of 1 for Goku and 5 for Mint.

"How is this possible" Raditz said in disbelief and continued "How come your power is lower than at your birth Kakarot and your kids have very strong powers" Goku spoke "Raditz, I don't want to hurt you. I know you were bullied while working with frieza all this time. And as you are my brother, I offered you a place. So don't force me". Raditz laughed "Hahaha With the power level of 1, you want to hurt me? Your kids are much stronger than....." Raditz was interrupted by his scouter beeping. Both Goku and Mint's power level raised to 5000.

"Wha?..." Raditz started getting scared. "Kakarot your power....how?" Goku smiled. "You see Raditz, you are not the strong one here. So listen to me and destroy that scouter and you can stay here. I won't join you nor will my kids. And if you try anything funny, you know what will happen." Raditz was scared seeing their powers, but he was more scared of Vegeta. So he said "Kakarot, Prince Vegeta was the one who asked me to get you. If you don't oblige, he won't forgive you. Listen to me. He's way stronger than you guys."

Mint snorted "Let him come. What can he do. He cannot force anyone anymore. He's a prince without subjects. His father was foolish enough to attack Frieza and doom our planet without even checking his power level." Raditz shook his head "But....but...." Goku then interrupted him "So Raditz, what will it be? You wanna stay here or?" Goku smirked.. Raditz was now scared to say anything. On one side, his brother was much stronger than him. On the other side, he feared Vegeta who was listening from the scouter. He had to make a choice but he wasn't sure of which side to take.

This moment Goku spoke again "As you advised me, You are a saiyan Raditz. Don't be a coward and get scared of some stupid prince. Now decide. Your Family or your beloved prince. Which one do you choose?Id you choose to serve Vegeta, then you are free to leave. I won't block you. I'll let you go because you are my brother." Raditz didn't say anything for a long time. Goku asked this as he wanted to choose. In the original anime, Raditz could have killed both Goku and Piccolo but he took it easy on them. So He wanted to test Raditz conviction weather he would be loyal to Vegeta or join Goku before he revealed his full power. So Goku could confirm that he will not backstab him later while facing a strong enemy.

As he was thinking, Raditz heard a voice from his scouter "Leave them and come back Raditz. You are not their match. We will deal with those traitors later". Raditz frowned he shouted "No. Vegeta. You are not going to hurt my brother. And I'm not coming back and am going to stay with them." Nappa shouted "Raditz, you dare betray us? you are a traitor. I'll kill you the next time I see you" Raditz said removing his scouter from his ear "That's enough Nappa. You have looked down on me long enough. Even if I die, I'll die an honourable death as a saiyan. Goodbye". He then crushed the scouter and laughed looking at the sky "Hahahah. We are dead now."
