Chapter 11 The Candlemaker

Dorothy has the power to bring her imaginary being to life. At first Chief thought that candlemaker was one of Dorothy's imagination, but he was not. In fact, candlemaker is actually known as what's called egregore. An egregore is a psychic entity that made of an influence the thought of groups of people. The more people believe in the egregore, the more powerful it becomes but the being itself doesn't technically exist. Just think that candlemaker is an ethereal being made of thousand and thousand of the feeling of other people. He's made up of unconscious tension surrounding historical events.

Somehow candlemaker finds itself trapped in the subconscious of Dorothy probably due to the fact that her subconscious acts as a revolving door to the astral plane, Dorothy believe that candlemaker was one of her imaginary friend she created to cope with her various emotion but in fact candlemaker is like a parasite using her to bring it to life.

Candlemaker knew Dorothy's power could bring thoughts to life, so he uses her to free himself. in order to do this he makes Dorothy make wishes. Every time she wishes and candlemaker completes it he will gain strength.

So far Dorothy makes 2 wishes. First, when she was little she was being bullied and ask the candlemaker to hurt the boy, so the candlemaker did and kill the boy. Knowing this, Dorothy keeps the lock of the candlemaker. But when she was being paraded in the circus and much by the audience. She invokes her second wish killing and massacres the audience with the circus member. Now she has one wish left.

When the attack happens, Dorothy was stuck in the lab with Tempest(dr. Joshua Clay). They were also being ambush by two of the brotherhood member General Zahl and Houngan

Tempest did his best to protect Dorothy. When Dorothy was targetted by General Zahl, tempest came and protected her to only be blindsighted by Houngan's attack, thus killing him.

At that moment seeing tempest die in front of her, her time perception stops and she can hear the candlemaker's voice reaching her.

"Dorothy, I can save him. I can kill all the attackers and save your family. Just make your wish" the candlemaker whisper to pressure Dorothy.

Under distress and pressure, Dorothy makes a wish. "PLEASE SAVE HIM AND KILL THEM" Dorothy yell.

As soon as she wished it candlemaker began appearing in the real world, saving tempest and starting killing, he first kills general zahl by splitting him in half. Houngan tries to fight with his occultism but nothing works as the candlemaker came closer to him and chops his head off.

"ROAARRR" as the candlemaker roar.

The present and mc POV

I can hear a roar and see candlemaker bursting from the door. He then starts targetting the brotherhood of evil members one by one.

He first went to plasmus, he punches robotman making him fly to the wall and start devouring plasmus.

Seeing the scene everybody stop and stare,even brain feel fear of the beast.

"destroy that box. I need to control my power to fight him," as I yell to brain. But before he can the green alien came flying to the grasp of the candlemaker and explode. Fortunately, the box deactivates as its falls.

I began to have control over my power. Seeing that the candlemaker still targetting the brotherhood member, I try my hardest to stop him.

I did everything I could, he was plagued by bad luck, but not much because he is not human and a different entity. It drains my stamina quickly, and I never knew this could happen.

As he began to walk to madam rouge, he began to burn her to ashes. Don't know what else to do. I got an idea a crazy one but maybe it works. First, I remember what entity can help me in this time, one person that has the power to alter reality itself, so I did a stupid thing due to the situation.

I summon Mister Mxyzptlk by calling his name and manipulating my probability. With my luck i can see him manifest himself

To those who don't know, Mister Mxyzptlk is an imp from the 5th dimension possesses reality-warping powers with which he enjoys tormenting Superman or making life difficult. He is also the only one in the multiverse that means every Mister Mxyzptlk that appears in many multiverses is just one imp.

So seeing me an unknown called him, he was intrigued "I don't remember you, I never saw you in other multiverses" he say to me, he inhales and say " this universe feel different almost created as new universe recently."

"Mister Mxyzptlk I call you to ask you for a favor. I want you to help us deal with that." as I point to the candlemaker

Mister Mxyzptlk then see where I point and saw the candlemaker. What he saw makes him more curious as he appears in front of the candlemaker" that is one bad entity you got, not many appear in the multiverse. It even has the power to destroy this world" he says. For the first time even the candlemaker stop what he is doing and stare at Mister Mxyzptlk in fear.

Mister Mxyzptlk appears in front of my face and says " but why should I help you? What can you offer?"

" you don't want the world to be destroyed by him because that can also mean Superman will be destroyed. If you do this for me, I can help you prank Superman in the future." I answer.

Mister Mxyzptlk face change to worry and happy as I say my answer. As he appears again and poofs away candlemaker from existence.

"I will hold to your word and come to you in the future" he says and began to disappear.

"That was easy," I thought in my head. Everything is a wreck as I observe around me. The dead villain on the floor, robotman still in the wall. The Chief just stares at me in shock and the rest just fall from exhaustion from all of it.

I also see that Brain, Mallah, and Warp have disappear leaving the manor.
