Chapter 2

The sun is about to set when they were 2 young kids walking in the market district. The young girls is cute and will turn into a beautiful young women when she reach adulthood, while on the other hand the boy had clear blue eyes with white hair. He had a lazy expression on his face. This 2 young youths were Ling and Mai.

"Can you not skip classes. The teacher will complain on your father again."

"Well, even if I skip in class I got whole marks every subject though, aside from bending"

" ..... " Mai's brows were twitching

"Seriously, you don't need to be so pensive all the time" Ling said while he pinch her cheeks.

"Wh-What are you doing" Mai was flustered. Her upbringing was very strict. Mai is a child from a noble family of the Fire Nation. In her family, she was given whatever she desired just as long as she didn't act out. For the sake of her father's political career, she was required to be silent, calm, and behave as they expected. But her personality will show when she was alone with Ling.

"Lighten up, your face muscles are very stiff" Ling caressed her cheeks and squeeze it softly. "A smile is the prettiest thing you can wear" Ling smiley took back his hands and walked forward nonchalantly. "Come let me escort you to your home".

Ling escorted Mai whose cheeks were a bit red a little while ago to her house since it was already late in the afternoon. The sun was setting and the color of the Fire Nation at night is very beautiful. It was like the city was in festival everyday. "Take care Mai, I'm going home n--" Before Ling could complete his sentence a beautiful and mature woman came out on the door.

"Mai, darling you're here" Michi came out in the door and walked slowly to the gates. Mai came to her mother with poised and in a serious manner. "Mother, I'm home" she said in a calm manner while making a bow. Ling also step forward and make a bow to show politeness.

"Hello, Madam Michi"

"Well, don't just stand there come in, we're already having a dinner"

The trio entered the house. The structure of the house is made up of wood. The designs were beautiful and elegant, well it is to be expected since most rich families have beautiful house designs.

'Maybe mother and father will not nag me today, about skipping classes' Ling thought silently in his mind while following the two. In this life, Ling fully accepted his identity. He nodded to me and continued to work from his documents. Both Ling parents and Mai parents were acquainted with each other long ago due to their relationships regarding business and politics. Also Ling's mother is a close friend and was a classmate of Madam Michi in their childhood days.

Well in this time Mai didn't have a brother yet unlike in the series. The servants came with foods and drinks and properly presented in the dining table.

"Well dear, stop what you were doing and let's eat" Michi said to her husband whose appearance was very busy.

" Yeah yeah"

The four of them were eating and in the dining room. The room was peaceful. Ling was refined and noble when eating. Well he was practiced by his mother when he was little. So being elegant and having proper etiquette was instilled to him.

The dinner was finished and the atmosphere was harmonious. Ling also answered some questions from Michi and Ukashu about school. Well, there were a lot academies in the Fire Nation. One of them is the Royal Fire Academy for Boys and the other is Royal Fire Academy for Girls. These two academy were top-tier in the Fire Nation. Only those families who have standing in the government will be allowed to enroll their children there.

"Strategy without tactics is the slowest route to victory. Tactics without strategy is the noise before defeat" Ling said in a calm manner.

Ukashu was speechless when they were talking about war and politics. 'This kid is very smart. Sigh, the old will still be surpassed by the young'.

Both mother and daughter was listening to their conversation. Michi cannot help but nod her head while Mai was looking at Ling with a complicated expression, well it is to be expected since this guy was very lazy and always like skip to classes. She always saw him resting on one of the branches of a tree or on a rooftop on a the Royal Fire Academy building. She was considered to be smart herself but she did study everyday.

"Thanks for the dinner. I will take my leave now Mr. Ukashu and Madam Michi"

"Oh, well take care Ling and say hi for me to your Mother"

"I will madam" Ling was slowly walking outside the gate while the family was watching him from the door. Suddenly he turn his head back and spoke.

"Mai, see you tommorow and and don't be stiff. Haha" Ling ran and exit the gate.

"Y-You" Mai was stuttering while standing in her position. Her parents were amused by the two of them.

"Oh, youth" Ukashu sighed and walked away.

"Mai, do you want to marry him?"

"Mom!" Mai walked fast and enter the house in a cute manner.

Ling returned home and was greeted by his mother and his father who constantly berated him about skipping classes. Well, the teacher informed them again that their son was gone the whole afternoon session.

"Don't worry father, I got perfect scores in every subjects"

'Sigh' His father sighed. Well he can't do a thing about it. It was his son's quirk even when he was little. He was lazy but very smart. Even without to study he can answer questions and exams perfectly.

"Well, I already ate dinner at Mai's house recently Mom, I'm gonna practice my combat" Ling ran and went to his usual practice area in the manor.

"Dear, don't worry about him. He is smart and capable"

"This kid is very lazy, and a year ago he began to practice combat in his own. I just want him to inherit all of my business when I'm old"

"He was mature since he was little and dreamt of bending elements but sadly our upbringing and ancestors never seem to energybend" The duo watched the back of Ling who ran and went to his usual place.

Ling arrived at a secluded corner in the manor. He sat under the tree and feel the breeze blowing in his face. The night is still young and his usual hangout is this area.

"Hmm, I can get a free spin now" Ling waited for the gacha to activate again. Every 24th in a month the gacha will refresh and he can get another prize from it, whether if it is bloodline, techniques or anything that came from Naruto world. After a dozen of minutes the gacha began to color from his system.

"Finally" Ling said to himself. He pushed the button and waited for it to stop. "Please don't be a useless prize" Well what can he say, he got the reverse harem technique the other month.
