Liam's POV

"By her side," I whispered under my breath while standing in the middle of the kitchen for the past ten minutes.

After hearing Anastasia's unexpected request, I froze and nodded then left the room, only to stay in the kitchen and panic internally.

If I can take Caleb's place, that means I will be able to escort my mate everywhere and anywhere.

I bit down my lip, as a wide grin formed on my face while heading back to my room.

I did my best not to think of last night because I knew my brain would automatically remember what Anastasia said this morning.

This is why I decided that it would be better if I just pretended like nothing happened.

Although it is hard, it's still the right thing to do especially in times like these.

Our pack could get attacked at any time and our head alpha is sick, In addition to all this, there is somebody who wants to hurt her in our pack.
