Jerome tapped me on the shoulder and smirked " Bro ! " he looked amused he stretched out his fist and asked me to bump it. I bumped it and then he dragged me to class flooding me with a bunch of questions which I ignored answering and also he didn't let me one after another. You know her ? You like her ? Did you go to school with her ? What were you talking about ? And some were stupid and annoying Are you related ?

We went to our seats .

I asked slowly " Is she Tess S. ? " he looked at me confused and disappointed.

" Dude you mean Teresa Smith " he said.

Teresa Smith. I repeated the name again mentally.

" So you don't know her ? " he asked slowly narrowing his eyes.

" No not really " I said and wondered whether to tell him I saw her in the rain and fell in love with her. Nah, that would be stupid.

He opened his mouth to say something but withdrew and touched his head clearly disappointed.

" How can you not know her ? " he said as if scolding me.

" I just came to this school yesterday " I said.

" Oh. right " he said realising I had just come to school the previous day.

" What's the deal with her ? " I asked after a few seconds of debating.

" Who Tess ? " I nodded.

" Well she's like the school's miss universe " he said and I thought he should have said school beauty queen or something like that. But he was right she was pretty gorgeous.

He continued.

" She's a half cast, her mom is Dennish, and she's the head cheer leader of the basketball team..."

" You have a basketball team here ? " I interrupted him . He gave me those ofcourse looks . " ..oh continue. " I said .He continued

" Her dad is super rich, he has almost 40% shares in the school. . . " he paused.

And looked at the door. Tess and the other girl I saw with her were entering class " and ofcourse she's our class monitress " he smiled at me. I kept asking myself how the fuck I didn't notice her the previous day. Maybe because I was busy trying to adjust to my new class...

" And the other girl. " I wanted to know everything.

" Oh, her she's Amanda ..." he paused a smile appeared on his face "she's a que..." realising that I was looking at him strangely he didn't complete what he was saying . " she's her cousin and best friend " he quickly said. I'm not a professional but I noted that he has a huge crush on her.

" What were you saying to her ? " he asked me. I could sense that his eagerness. " I wanted to return her book. " I said while getting out a pink book from my bag.

" Bro she's already taken ." he said with a serious look on his face.

I was kind of disappointed but deep down in my heart it's as if I knew that she had a Boyfriend . I mean she's pretty why wouldn't she have a boyfriend. I thought to myself.

" Who said I want to date her ? " I defended myself.

He smirked.

" You do everyone does "

" Not me dude " I said. God I was on fire with the ' dude ' word who knew it felt good using it.

He laughed and said softly.

" I know you do "

" I just know you do " this time softer. like a riddle, creepy.
