"Inez, I'm certain we can find somewhere here for you to drink." Riley positioned her weapon and spoke. We don't need to travel all the way back to NYC for that," she said.

"We can't remain here. I still have to track down my daughter. " I said. I resumed my walk when Ava stopped me. I swung around to face her. "What is it again?"

"Perhaps we can locate someone in this area who is knowledgeable about something you aren't. We are concerned for your daughter's safety as well, Inez, but if you act hastily and don't cool off, things could get worse. Riley is correct; we shouldn't return to New York City until we at least have a basic understanding of the person who currently sits on your throne." She gave Chase a quick look. "Right, Chase?" she asked.

I looked at Chase when his eyes landed in mine. "Uhh.. I..." he stuttered. "Inez is mature enough to make choices. Whatever she says, I'll follow. " Immediately, he looked away from me.
