Rufus' face was so close to Raina's face on her bed when Raine's eyes opened. Rufus was seated on the floor, but his face was resting next to it on Raina's bed.
He didn't leave at night; instead, he stayed over at their place over the night.
Raina was really startled by his presence. She never imagined looking at the man's face as she awoke in the morning. Her entire youth was spent waking up by herself when the light came up.
In all her years, this was the first time she saw a man's face in the morning, soon after waking up.
Her heart was thumping so loudly with fear that she thought it may jump out of her at any moment. But, she took long breaths to calm herself. She struggled for a long, but eventually, she was able to maintain her composure.
When she became calm, she slowly pulled herself and took a look at his face.
Raina can't help but acknowledge that Rufus's face looked beautiful even when he was sleeping. Although his eyes were closed, the lips, cheeks, and eyes all appeared to be in exactly the right places. Raina suddenly felt the impulse to pinch his cheeks, but she quickly snapped out of it as she regained consciousness.
"Did I just want to touch his cheeks?" staring blankly at her hand, she thought to herself.
She rejected it with a head shake and folded hand, 'That might be because I have never seen a man sleeping before.'
"Yes, that might be the case", she concluded as she reasoned with herself.
She attempted to say "hey" while acting as though clearing her throat. However, even for a brief sentence, her voice waves. That could be because she had just awoken.
Her awkward scream disturbed the peace of his face and, eventually, after furrowing near his brows, he lifted his head from the bed.
He opened his eyes slowly and began to watch over the place where he last saw Raina's face. His eyes became a little wavy as the face he was hoping to see was not there. He turned his head to the voice that was shouting at him.
'There is she.' The sight of Raina pleases him, which made him twist his face in a pleasant grin.
He is lost in a daze. He whispers, looking towards Raina, "She is even energetic just after waking up." His face was now even filled with a contented smile as he leaned his head over his hand.
As his whisper left his mouth, Raina's face, which was terrified earlier, now became annoyed after seeing his cunning smile. She stretched her hand and pulled the pillow from the bed, and then threw it on his face, saying "Stop giving me that look and answer my question." Why are you still here? "
"That's the same question I want to ask myself too," he whispered to himself as he shifted his face away from Raina.
He exclaims, pouting like a child, "What! You don't like my presence at all. " and states, fluttering his eyes as he gives an innocent look.
After that, he smirked and said, "Look at my face; I thought my face was far too charming for women like you." while holding his cheeks in the palm of his hand as his elbow rested on the bed. "Isn't it?" as he patted his finger softly on his face.
Rana's stomach suddenly started to feel upset after hearing his words. She even felt a sudden urge to puke all of a sudden.
She folded her hand into a fist, giving an annoyed smile as she spoke, "If you don't stop your rotten mouth, then you might really lose your pretty face today."
When he said, "You thought my face is pretty," his eyes glistened and enlarged in anticipation of more.
"You." Indignantly, Raina hissed.
The man's presence and his manner of speaking were particularly grating on Raina. But there was one thing Raina simply could not dispute: He is indeed handsome.
The way she saw his feature now, in the light, was very different from the way she had seen it at night.
Even his voice surprised her because it was too flawless.
His hair was blonde rather than black at all. He was wearing a cape at night, and there was no light at all, so it appeared to be completely black. His face is white and has a sharp jawline.
However, Raina's eyes did notice one thing about him that very night right, and that was the color of his eyes.
He shares the same hue of eyes as Minella.
Raina questioned while she was focusing on his appearance. "Where are you from?" as she kept staring at his hair. "You can't possibly be a native of this kingdom. We don't have people who have blond hair. "
Anthian people are not blond at all. Their hair is brown and black in color, which is why nobody has seen blond-haired people in the kingdom at all.
A few individuals who were devotees of the moon goddess Phena long ago founded the kingdom of Anthia. Shades of blue eyes and black hair were common features of this group. It explains why the Anthia kingdom's populace all has black hair and blue eyes. However, there is one exception in this situation, and that exception is royalty. This kingdom's royalty has brown hair and eyes with green undertones.
Everyone in this kingdom, with the exception of the royals, has the same eye and hair colors.
But the guys who were standing in front of Raina didn't have black or brown hair.
"You like my hair, your gaze not even faltering at all, even for a sec," he added as he observed Raina's attention.
He said, "Looks like not turning my hair black was a good mistake," while twisting his mouth into a sinister grin.
"At least you like something."
"What is this guy even talking about? As his stupid words echoed in Raina's ears, she felt her jaw drop with her mouth go speechless.
She looked at him in a stupor, her crease between her brows narrowing, her eyelids flickered.
'First of all, he has trespassed into another kingdom without permission. Because Anthian people do not have that shade of hair. I have never seen this color in my whole life. So he is definitely a foreigner.
The second thing is that he not only entered the foreign kingdom without permission, but he also dared to enter the royal palace of the kingdom. Although it is the lower wings of the maid's quarters, it is still part of the royal palace.
And the third thing about this guy, he even gets caught while doing that. I mean, he at least revealed his identity in front of me without thinking about the consequences.
Now he is chilling, smiling as if nothing happened at all.
He did not seem frightened even a little at all.
There is really something wrong with this guy.
Did I just meet a psycho?'
