Announcement!!

"Students of Maverick's music academy, the school's advisory board has come to a conclusion" Coach Tristan said with both arms crossed. An average heightened man in his mid 40s

"The advisory board of this great academy has decided that an audition must take place before we give out the duet spot this year" he spoke abruptly .

"Six days from now, we'll be awarding the duet spot to two deserving individuals "a male and a female" and so you have just few days to get yourselves prepared " Coach Tristan added dismissing them immediately. Tristan had trained and developed a lot of youngstars under the Maverick's music academy. He's been a great pioneer to the to the students as many considered him worthy of mentoring them.

"Emily"!! Coach Tristan called out as a blonde haired petite lady in black bodycon dress passed by him.

"Emily Banks!!" He called out again, but this time he signaled her with his hands and she started walking towards him putting on a wry smile.

"Heyy!! Coach " she said still flashing her smile as she approached him.

"You heard the announcements right?" He asked almost immediately, he wasn't cut in for any exchange of pleasantries

"Ooh, that .. Yes I did" she replied as she sensed no jocularity in his tone. Although he hasn't been known as a jovial person especially when it was related to his career. He took every bit of it very serious.

"And you know what you stand to gain if you take that seriously?" Coach Tristan asked raising his right brow

"Sure, I do coach" she said clutching unto her tote bag. She knew he's next words and she sure knew that he had great expectations from her.

" And I guess you know what to do" he asked further as he examined her expressions

"I do not want anything lesser than the best from you.... And so make good use of this opportunity " he added and walked away leaving Emily in a deliberative state.

She wasn't ready for all these, the pressure, the expectations and coupled with the fact that Christmas was in four days time.

Emily never expected the sudden change by the advisory board, and then auditioning was not her thing, In the next six days!! C'mon...

Although she was a well trained alto singer by the Almighty coach Tristan but singing to be judged by a group of people or for the crowd was a fear she needed to overcome soon.
