The lady who loves the novel; 'There is No Happy Ending!'
When I heard my alarm ring, I immediately sprang out of my bed. My workplace is strict, that is why I cannot afford to be late. I need the money to live after all.
"Saturday… that means I have a lot of paperwork to deal with today before my long-awaited vacation... today will sure be hell."
I act as fast as I can. Within just minutes I am done preparing myself to work. My short black hair is not that hard to fix and the office has strict only pants and long sleeve rules. I took my bike and rode to the company. The traffic is not getting better so instead of using transportation I would rather exhaust myself pedaling to work than get stuck on the road.
I arrived at the building so I carried and parked my bike to the bike station. "I can't let those stupid children steal my bike again so I brought this!" I pulled out a chain and a lock. "HAHA! Try to steal my bike again if you can!"
"Oh, that's a great idea!" the Oldman guard approached me.
"Right, this time they cannot steal my bike anymore. And you can take some break guarding too Oldman!"
"Haha, thank you for worrying about me. Good luck at your work today!"
"Yeah, thanks, Oldman!"
I waved and entered the building. "I do 'hope' things won't be that bad today…"
9 Hours passed and I am still stuck sitting here in my chair. "Welp, of course, I jinxed it. Damn, this non-ending papers…" I said as I tucked my head into my table. I got scolded earlier for breaking the printing machine and tripping over my colleague's paperwork.
"Sigh…."
I felt a cold feeling slightly touching my arm. I look up to see Ms. Carmine, the HR manager holding an iced latte.
"Here, you haven't taken a break since earlier, that's bad for your health Ms. Chae-won"
"That's true but I can't help it," I said as I took and drank the iced latte "Wooh, now that's refreshing, office latte is the best!" I cheered.
Ms. Carmine chuckled. "Oh, I remember, that new update of the novel 'There is no happy ending' was sure crazy, have you already read it?"
"Wait there's an update?!"
"You did not know? They updated last night. Reddit has been going crazy cause of the ending" Ms. Carmine explained.
"Ack! — to miss my favorite novel ending! What happened to the female lead and the male lead? Did they achieve a happy ending?!"
Ms. Carmine hit me not that strong in the head. "It is better if you read it yourself. But in my opinion, the crown princess should hang herself."
"Oh, okay? Why though?" I asked her.
She just sighed and patted my back "I told you, read it yourself."
"Alright! Then I shall take a break for a while! Thanks for telling me!" I stood up and started running towards the empty office rest area on an open rooftop in the building
"Do tell me your opinion later!" Ms. Carmine shout back at me.
I grabbed some buns here in the Rest area and blended myself some coffee.
The novel 'There is no happy ending!' is one of the best-selling novels here in Korea, even people who do not usually like novels read them because of how good the story was.
I liked the Female lead. From a lowly baron to a crown princess while experiencing multiple hardships. I hope she and the male lead achieve happiness after all of that!
As I read the ending I cried. What I wanted and expected in the story came true, 'the crown prince killed the Villain Vounce by piercing the sacred sword to its chest releasing every person he sealed,' and then the crown prince and the crown princess married each other!
"Yeah! The ending I love it!" I screamed so much that I surprised everyone resting in the area "My bad…"
I stood up to stretch as I felt more energized to do my work, that is when my phone vibrated.
"Hm?" I looked at the notification, "Oh the Reddit, yeah, I forgot to check…"
I opened the app and was surprised to see how many angry people debated on who was the best girl in the novel. Their choices are the crown princess— Amelia Laurence and Beatrice Gasglow.
"Oh, Beatrice? Isn't she the villainess in the first arc? The Daughter of Duke Gasglow. She is the old fiancé of Crown Prince Cedrick, the girl with light blue hair and red eyes. She is the one who harassed Amelia in school which causes her to earn a vanished verdict. Too bad, she is just a side character used for the main character's development. But, why are they discussing something like this though?"
I watched the Reddit debates
[The crown princess is the villain. Ya'll just love red flags!]

"What are they talking about? The crown princess is a villain? What?"
[The crown princess just fought for her life! She did not do anything wrong!]
[Amelia unlike the duke's daughter had a very hard life from the very start, how could you compare Amelia to a golden spoon, spoiled brat like Beatrice!]
"That is true, Amelia since a child has been doing her best to live on! How could they say bad things to her!"
[People who think Amelia is good are sure stupid, Bruh]

"Woah, the hate in Reddit sure is crazy, just like Ms. Carmine said. Huh, what is this?"
[Go read the side stories to understand why Amelia is a man stealer!]
I was surprised to see an important word. "A side story? The novel has a side story????"
I rushed to open my novel app to read it. Side stories 1 and 2 present the sweet life of the newlywed. Side stories 3rd and 4th present Beatrice's tragic life.
"W-wait! Beatrice is not banished but got killed via guillotine?! WHAT! Okay, this is insane! Beatrice did harass Amelia but to kill her… the crown prince is crazy!"
I clicked the next arrow to continue reading, "Amelia manipulated the court using the crown prince to kill off Beatrice by secret…... whaaat?! Could Amelia really do something like that?! Why?! Now I understand why Duke Gasglow betrayed the kingdom! How could Amelia do something like this!"
The 5th side story explains Amelia's point of view to the whole story, it explains how she cunningly planned what she needs to do to steal the crown prince from Beatrice. But the biggest plot twist in this side story is that. "Amelia used a love magic that would make the villain fall for her and use him to gain the crown prince and everyone's support and sympathy!"
I felt my heart crack…. "What the hell, my favorite character turns out to be the greatest villain of all." The death of the villainous lady Beatrice is the cause of all destruction in the 6th side story because Beatrice is the only one who can handle the paperwork of the empire and deal with the other kingdom while the crown prince is having fun with his mistress. "Ughhh, I am having heartburn…. the title stuck to it is true meaning… 'There is no happy ending…' Damn…"

It is already 11:00 pm "Ugh, to take overtime just to finish my work because I cried my heart out earlier, I'm so stupid"
My phone vibrated and saw Ms. Carmine's message.
"Oh, she might be home now. I shall send my opinion to her about the ending"
[Ms. Carmine, I really cannot believe what I read about the novel. It is sad and funny how the empire in the 6th side story goes down after the Main character's wedding just because Amelia cannot handle paper works lol! Anyway, hope you have a great vacation! Cath you up later!]
After a while, I finished my work. I rushed out of the building to grab my bike "AH! Still here! HAHA! Cannot steal my bike anymore right!"
I laugh as if I won my greatest battle in life. I was approached again by the Oldman
"Overworking yourself again? You know that is not good for health"
"You are the one overworking your self Oldman! You are Old already while I am still young, you should only take morning guard duty to rest!" I scolded him
"Right, Right, well then, see you again next time"
"Okay!"
I rode my bike like usual. I am not speeding because I know I have vacation tomorrow so I can take my time enjoying the night breeze. I suddenly received a text message so I stopped and walked towards a convenience store with open lights. It is from my mother who is living in the province.
"Hehe, I will send my savings and money to her, I 'hope' she'll be happy!"
I am planning to go home tomorrow and spend my vacation with my mother, or so I thought.
A little girl is running towards the highway. A car is at full speed.
It felt like a cliché, no, it is a cliché.
For myself to ran and saved a child and got hit by a car. It is not even a truck like what I commonly read on isekai stories lmao.
"Damn… I jinxed…. it again…. I… really… wont…. Hope anymore…."

This time I woke up not because of my alarm but because of the light shining straight to my face.
"Did the landlord come inside last night? I told her to not open the blinds…. Ugh…"
I am having a hard time standing up… damn, why is my body heavy though? Oh, I thought I would wake up in the hospital but I am back in my apart…ment….
"WHERE THE HELL AM I?!"
My scream echoed all over the place. "What in a sparkly place is this?! The bed is super soft! WHAT! —Oh. Do not tell me… did the hospital relocated? ….as if."
As I sighed, I saw a mirror displayed in the room. I approached it and was surprised to see a reflection of someone with great beauty… a beautiful lady in a sleeping dress with long light blue hair, red eyes, and glossy lips partnered with a little bit of tanned skin. Such beauty that no one could compare! Even the goddesses will feel envy because of this beauty... but….
"WHO ARE YOU?!" I screamed towards the mirror. "But, why does she look familiar...?"
huh, wait a minute, my voice is super weird... why does it sound like a... "Ojou-sama??"
Suddenly a knock came from the door. "AAAH!" I got so scared that I hid beside the cabinet.
"My Lady? Is there something wrong?" The voice came from an old man.
"What Lady? Who are you talking about?!" I accidentally voiced out my thoughts.
"Umm, please pardon me", the Oldman entered. He looked like a butler with his uniform. He looked at me with pity in his eyes. "My lady, I came here because there's a guest who is looking for you, but if you aren't still feeling well, this Oldman will step up and tell the guest to go home first" he suggested.
I mean, no matter how many times he explains I am confused. What lady is he talking about? Is he talking about me?
I looked back at the mirror and pinched my face. It hurts…. The pinch hurt…! That is when I realized the beautiful person I have been admiring since earlier is me— myself.
"That- that can't be, I- could never be this beautiful..."
"My lady?"
Ah, I forgot, he is still here. I- do not want to be called weird, I should act normal, like those Ojou-sama or my lady in the novels I am reading!
"N-nothing. Ehem, who might be the guest?"
"It's Prince Cedrick, my lady" As he spoke that name, I felt like a thunder just struck straight at me.
Cedrick! The very Cedrick Kenilworth?! There's no way I will not recognize that name! The Man who will give even his own life for the female lead. The Male lead of the novel 'There is no happy ending!'. But why should he be he-
I immediately glanced back at the mirror. That is when I remember who this person is. "The daughter of the Duke Gasglow... Villanous Lady Beatrice Gasglow... the crown prince— fiancé…"
"Yes, is there something wrong my lady?"
"Ah- no, do tell the crown prince that I'm sick and won't be meeting anyone for now"
"As you wish, my lady" As the butler left and closed the door, I could feel my body shake in fear.
"I- really, got isekaied... And as Beatrice! The villainous pitiful fiancé! WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!" My scream that covers the whole dukedom.
I am screwed! Why cannot I just be a normal person?!
