The Start Of Leon Agnus

Before I was born, the God of Eternity declared that every god would summon their chosen heroes to a sacred place. There, a power-finder crystal would be used to assess each hero's strength. As I prepared for my rebirth, the God of Eternity asked, "Joshua, what are you planning to do for our entertainment?"

"Whatever I do, do not speak or intervene," I replied. "I will handle everything that happens. Do not come forward until I call you. Understood?"

The God of Eternity nodded in agreement. As the gods assembled, they took their seats: the God of Nature, the God of the Sea, the God of Lightning, the God of Fire, the Holy God, the God of Wind, and finally, the God of Eternity. They summoned their heroes, and I saw familiar faces among them: James, the hero of the God of Wind; Jessy, the Holy God's hero; Armie, the God of Nature's hero; Sam, the God of Lightning's hero; Rose, the God of Fire's hero; Benie, the God of the Sea's hero; and myself, Joshua, the hero of the God of Eternity.

The Holy God stood and addressed the heroes. "My dear heroes, we have summoned you to defeat the evil demon god. To achieve this, we need your power. Before you stands a crystal that will measure your power levels. Let's begin the testing."

One by one, the heroes approached the crystal. The highest ranks were A and B, with C being medium and D the lowest. James, Rose, and Benie achieved A ranks, while Sam, Jessy, and Armie received B ranks. When it was my turn, the God of Eternity watched me closely. "What kind of game are you playing, Joshua?" he wondered.

I stepped forward, planning to display the lowest rank, D. As I placed my hand on the crystal, I sensed a corrupted signal. Realizing some god was manipulating my power level, I decided to play along. The crystal displayed an E rank, shocking everyone. The gods looked at me with disgust, mocking both me and the God of Eternity for having a low-level hero. My classmates laughed and ridiculed me.

Despite this, I laughed. "Ha ha ha ha ha!"

James, puzzled, asked, "Why are you laughing, Joshua?"

"Someone has tampered with the power testing crystal," I replied. The gods accused me of lying, but I turned to the God of Eternity. "Check it," I urged.

The God of Eternity approached the crystal. The Holy God tried to stop him, but he persisted, discovering the corruption. "I will handle this matter later," he announced, summoning a new crystal.

The heroes retested their power levels. This time, I achieved an A rank, while the others were reduced to D ranks. Internally, I laughed at the Holy God's failed attempt to undermine me. "Ha ha ha ha ha! So weak, all of you are so weak like noobs."

"Shut up, Joshua!" they shouted.

"Does it hurt because I'm teasing you? That's how it feels to laugh at someone weak without knowing their true level. Ha ha ha!" I taunted.

The Holy God protested, claiming the crystal was fake, but the other gods verified its authenticity. Telepathically, the God of Eternity asked, "What did you do?"

"I'll explain later. For now, enjoy the sight of the other gods' dissatisfaction," I replied.

"See, stupid monkeys? You're all weak. Don't try anything foolish, or I'll kill you all," I warned.

The God of the Sea intervened. "The testing is over. We will now summon you to your new families. You will bear a dragon symbol on your left hands, which will help identify you after your rebirth. Good luck, and may you defeat the demon king."

Telepathically, I told the God of Eternity, "Contact me after I am reborn, and I'll explain everything."

"Okay," the God of Eternity agreed.

And so, we were reborn. I found myself in the Agnus family, ready for the challenges ahead.

### Chapter 1: The Corruption Revealed

Joshua was born into one of the great families of the empire, the Agnus family. One day, the God of Eternity suddenly contacted Joshua through his mind. Both Joshua and the God of Eternity found themselves inside Joshua's mind. Joshua saw the god in his old appearance and doubted if something had gone wrong during the summoning.

"Did something happen while summoning?" Joshua asked.

The God of Eternity replied, "You are inside your mind."

"Oh, I see," Joshua responded.

The God of Eternity continued, "Now explain, Joshua. Well, as I found that crystal corrupted, I also discovered the god who corrupted it. I played along, knowing you would give me a new crystal. When I was the first one to check my powers, I corrupted that crystal because everyone mocked me and looked down on me like I was something disgusting. So, I gave them back what I got."

The God of Eternity laughed, "Ha ha ha ha, very interesting! I didn't expect this, but how did the other gods not find it was corrupted?"

Joshua smirked, "Do you remember my first two wishes?"

The God of Eternity replied, "Ha ha, I forgot that you have become a god. I see, that's why others couldn't find it."

Joshua smiled and said, "In every story, the main character only gets bullied, gets strong, and gets revenge, but it is so boring. So, I turned the story to make it good for the readers."

"Readers? Who are they?" the God of Eternity asked.

"Well, I was saying it was like a novel in my world," Joshua stammered, trying to avoid mentioning the readers. The fourth wall breaks. "Oh shit, readers, I didn't mean to say about you to the character. Well, anyway, now I have avoided the thing. Also, I know the author is late in releasing this chapter, so I will apologize on his behalf. Readers," the fourth wall breaks again, "back to the story."

Joshua continued, "Now I am the lead. Tsk, I will become the villain. You will have a great time watching me, and I will slowly get my revenge on the gods."

The God of Eternity laughed, "Ha ha ha, no human has excited me this much. I am looking forward to it, hero Joshua."

"Oh no, no, I mean anti-hero Joshua," Joshua corrected.

As the mind realm broke, Joshua saw himself as a baby. "Oh, I need some time to grow," he thought. The fourth wall breaks again, and Joshua fast-forwards the time to when he is five years old. The fourth wall breaks and returns to the story where Joshua is now Leon Agnus, the youngest son of the Agnus family.
