Twelfth Chapter

"Mr. de Vere." The ginger haired William approached him and Esme.

"It's you, William. I thought you did not disembark." John always thought William stayed on the ship like the Captain and other officers.

"Captain ordered that someone has to tell what happened, sir. I got the short end of the straw" William is a bit sorry, it shows in his face. He thinks he should have tied in there with his friends.

"Survivor's guilt, man. It sucks." John evaluated what William is going through and will go through in the coming days.

"Will, i am in no position to say this. However, you're one fucking brave and courageous lad. You saved hundreds. No. Thousand of people and brought them to their destination. Titanic's mission accomplised." John offers his hand.

"So, let me thank you in behalf of thousand passengers, thank you Mr."

"William Farell, sir." Farell have red eyes.

"Thank u William Farll. And dont Mr. de Vere me. Call me John. My friends can call me that."

"Yes Sir John."

"Hahaha. Will, we have to go. See you around."

"Yes." Will nods and made way for the two.

"I just gave a freaking pep talk like talking to a client who got bashed in the internet after not paying his debt. Anyway, dude is brave. If im a normal human, i would not freaking brave waist deep freaking cold water just to save strangers. But he did. William Farell..."

John admired William whom he found to very brave, courageous and loyal in times of tragedy. Men like him are not many.

Watching the exchange of John and Will, Lady Esme did not comment.

"You are a great talker. You have uplifted the spirit of Mr. Farell."

John smiles knowingly.

"He deserves all the uplifting in the world, Esme. I wasn't joking when i said he saved thousands of people. I was with him waist deep racing against freezing water saving men, women and children."

"Brave, courageous, a bit stupid, a lot stupid, an dealist, has a great eye.." Esme commented.

"He is."

"I meant you, stupid." Esme looks at her dumbly. She is right, stupid.

"Cough." Not expecting such praise, he shot her a weird look.

"My my, Lady Esme, praising me."

"Stupid." She cut in.

"Ugh. Let me finish. Will you?"

"Haha. Its odd for a man to ask a woman to let him finish. Normally, i heard, men do not ask when to finish. He finish anyway."

"No! You did not!" John tongue tied. The shade. Damn.

"I just did. Haha. Why stuck on stupid when i praised your bravery and courage?"

"Thank you. But im not stupid."

"Just gullible."

"A little bit. Yeah. Something wrong with that?"

Esme shaking her head. "Gullible is fine."

She brought John to the Coast Guard's office, she strides like she owns the place.
