Chapter 35: Major Completion of Moonshadow Thousand Edge!

The next day.

At the break of dawn, Li Xun got up, washed, and headed straight to the Azure Cloud Hall. After submitting his mission, he returned to his courtyard, and it was already close to noon.

Originally, it shouldn't have taken this long, but the moment he pulled out a mid-grade magical treasure called the Blood Spirit Orb, the entire Azure Cloud Hall was thrown into an uproar.

Li Xun might not have heard of the Blood Spirit Orb before, but many disciples of the Profound Sun Sect had. 

This was a renowned Treasure from the Blood Demon Sect, considered a standard-issue Treasure for their members. 

Almost every disciple of the Blood Demon Sect carried one, though ordinary members only had the mortal treasure level ones. 

Only the elders of the Blood Demon Sect had access to magical treasure or higher versions of this Treasure.

Now, Li Xun had pulled out a magical treasure level Blood Spirit Orb, signifying that he had killed an elder of the Blood Demon Sect! 

Rumor had it that this caused such a stir that even some of the sect's elders were alerted, although Li Xun himself did not see any of them in person. 

He considered it just a rumor, not necessarily true.

"A mid-grade magical treasure, and they only gave me ten top-grade spirit stones. How stingy!"

Looking at the fifteen top-grade spirit stones now in his storage ring, Li Xun couldn't help but sigh. Five of these stones were his reward for the mission, and the rest were for the Blood Spirit Orb.

Even though the Blood Spirit Orb was a Treasure and only usable by the Blood Demon Sect, it was still a mid-grade magical treasure! Yet it had only earned him such a small amount of spirit stones.

'Next time I get my hands on something from the demonic sects, I definitely won't bring it back to the sect.' Li Xun thought to himself. 

He figured that the Myriad Treasures Pavilion might be a better place to offload such items.

After all, Myriad Treasures Pavilion had vast power and deep connections. They bought and sold just about anything, and if he'd sold the Blood Spirit Orb there, he might have gotten a much better price.

Shaking off these thoughts, Li Xun retrieved an Enlightenment Pill from his storage ring. 

Having just completed a sect mission, he now had some free time, perfect for another round of self-improvement. 

"I hope the Enlightenment Pill doesn't disappoint me!"

The effects of the Enlightenment Pill typically lasted for about half a month, during which time one's comprehension abilities were greatly enhanced. 

For ordinary Xuan-level techniques, it was often enough to reach minor completion. However, how well it worked for Earth level techniques was something Li Xun wasn't entirely sure of.

Taking a deep breath, Li Xun swallowed the pill in one gulp. 

The moment the pill entered his stomach, he suddenly turned to look around. 

The once-familiar surroundings of his small courtyard now seemed slightly strange.

Before his eyes, the courtyard constantly transformed. 

All things withered, plants decayed, returning to the soil, merging back into the essence of life. 

From birth to death, flourishing and decline, it was like watching an endless cycle of life play out.

Everything was connected by invisible threads, each thread seemingly representing the laws of the universe, emanating mysterious Dao rhythms.

"So, this is the power of the Enlightenment Pill?" Li Xun marveled to himself. 

A single pill had brought him into a state of enlightenment, making him feel as if he was on the verge of touching the very essence of the world.

He knew he was still far from fully grasping it, though. Even though he could see it, it was impossible for him to fully control it. 

For now, the most important thing was to focus on cultivating his martial technique!

With that in mind, Li Xun didn't hesitate. His figure moved like a swimming dragon, flickering through every corner of the courtyard. 

At this moment, it seemed as though he had merged with the world around him. 

Every step he took was unremarkable, yet profound. If there had been a master observing, they would have noticed that Li Xun's movements were an expression of his deepening understanding of the world.

Moonshadow Thousand Edge!

This High-grade Earth level martial technique had once seemed incomprehensible to Li Xun, but now, as he practiced, everything fell into place naturally.

Five days later, Moonshadow Thousand Edge reached minor completion!

Fifteen days later, Moonshadow Thousand Edge major completion!

Li Xun didn't stop there. He pulled out his mid-grade magical treasure, the Cloud Piercing Spear, and continued practicing, making use of the last remnants of the Enlightenment Pill's effects.

Twenty days later, Li Xun finally halted his training, standing in the courtyard and exhaling deeply. 

By the end, the pill's effect had greatly diminished, but it had been enough to also bring his Star Crushing Halberd Technique to major completion.

In fact, his progress with the Star Crushing Halberd Technique was slightly beyond that of Moonshadow Thousand Edge, and he felt he was on the verge of Total Competition with the former.

This clearly illustrated the difference between a Xuan level martial technique and an High-grade Earth Martial Technique.

"In twenty days, although my cultivation level didn't increase, my overall strength has multiplied several times over."

Li Xun's eyes gleamed. 

He was confident that if he faced his past self from twenty days ago, he could defeat that version of himself in just three moves!

That was the difference between having and not having a powerful movement technique. 

Of course, the main reason was that Moonshadow Thousand Edge was an High-grade Earth level Martial Technique, which had a tremendous impact on one's overall strength.

"Senior Brother Li Xun, there's a man outside the mountain gate who claims to be a steward of the Li family from Tianyuan City. He says he wishes to see you."
