Journee, an NYPD officer and Archer, an FBI agent are after a common mafia boss, but they don’t know it. They cross each other’s path at every corner and involuntarily destroy each other chances to make a case against him. Each unknowingly keeps sabotaging the other. If they get a chance, they will kill each other. Finally, they decide to work together to put him behind bars and… fall in love.
Henry noticed how tired Journee was after checking the footage all day. First, she was checking to find the discrepancy in the officers' statements and then to find the mole. To help her he brought a cup of coffee. He also offered his help to check some of the videos, but she politely declined.
"Give your eyes some rest," said Henry.
"Hmm," smiled Journee and lifted the cup of coffee that Henry brought. "Thank you for this."
"Really!?" scolded Henry.
"Okay, no thank you, give it back," teased Journee.
"Yeah, this is the right reaction. When you say sorry or thank you, it seems as if something is off. But when you taunt and tease, it feels like the normal reaction, the right reaction, like the world is all right, everything has a meaning," Henry kept babbling.
Journee rolled her eyes and kicked his shin. He started jumping on one leg and cried, "ow!"
"Speaking of 'ow', don't forget to take your medicine that David prescribed you," smirked Journee.
