Lee gave me his number just in case. No matter how much I told him I didnt need it, he insisted. So, I drove back to my apartment, remembering that Zac wouldnt be there to greet me. I couldnt love him. Loving and having a life with a human was looked down upon among Zodiacs, gods, and godesses. I already had a pretty bad reputation. Knowing him, he probably already moved on, so why couldnt I. Im Taurus, strong and stubborn. Not supposed to show weakness. I laid in my bed for a while, remembering I had Lees number. I was really hesitating on calling him, but I needed a friend.
"Back for more?" I honestly expected this answer.
"No, I just... I just need a friend," I started choking up as I explained everything to him.
"Okay, Ill come over if you want," he dropped his weird act and started being more sentimental.
A few minutes later he showed up to my apartment with ice cream, Chinese take-out, and and a few movies.
"Whyd you bring all this stuff?" I asked, my voice was still puffy.
"Eh, I have a friend with an emotional sister."
He settled everything on the table and handed me the ice cream, as he started setting up a movie on the TV. He brought a sad dog movie, which did take my mind of Zac. After the second movie I started getting tired and fell asleep, even though I tried not to.
Zac was perfect, he knew me. He loved me. I just wish he knew.
The next morning, I was asleep on the couch, with the fluffly blanket Lee brought. All the ice cream and Chinese food was already cleaned up. I stepped off the couch, and stubbed my toe on a sturdy thing, then (unfortunately) tripped, realizing it was Lee.
"Ow, gosh. Would it hurt to find a spot out of my stepping range?"
"The heck is a stepping range?" he asked while yawning. "Feeling better, princess?"
"Whatd you just call me?" I said frustrated.
"Ill take that as a yes. Hey, youre the one that called yourself a princess, not me," defiantly, he looked down at me.
"𝑰 was drunk. I didnt know what I was talking about!"
"Yeah, whatever. Im going for a jog. I would invite you to come, but you seem a bit... unathletic," he smirked.
"Is that a challenge, lover-boy, 'cause youll be throwing up dust when Im done with you!"
Wait, he just played me.
