Looking at the scene in front of him, Gerald had a smile on his face. In front of him, Kirk was having an intense duel with another soldier.

Gerald was Kirk's combat teacher, so Kirk's challenge this time was to only use stabs and dodges to defeat the opponent. This was an arduous task, and Kirk had already been on it for two days.

Kirk's opponent was a level 20 soldier. The two fought very fiercely as the swords clashed. Since Kirk was only level 1, the soldier was restricted to using only stab.

Kirk's eyes gleamed as he took a stab at the soldier's arm. The soldier was stunned and tried to parry, but it was too late.

KLANG!

Kirk's sword made a loud metallic sound as the blade bounced off the soldier's armor. Seeing this, Gerald had a smile on his face as he walked over. Kirk was now on the ground gasping for air.

"Well, it seems that the final lesson is over."

Hearing this, Kirk looked up at Gerald.

"However, that doesn't mean you are good. This is only the beginning and the minimum to start fighting monsters, so don't get arrogant."

"Yes, sir!"

Kirk stood up with a happy smile on his face. Seeing this, Gerlad could only sigh.

"Why do you even want to go out early in your training anyway?"

Kirk looked over and was about to explain but was stopped by Geralds's hand.

"Don't tell me because I don't care. Just don't die out there, or I will personally kill you."

After saying that last line Gerald walked off.

'How can you kill me if I am already dead? Why ask about my reasons if you don't care?'

Kirk could only grumble about this in his head. Gerald was a great teacher to Kirk, but he's a tsundere.

'Well, I've already been training for two months; now it's time to do some real Hero work!'

Kirk left the training area and went back to his room. He cleaned up and started reading the books on his desk. It had books on many different topics: magic, Sword Fighting, array making, and history.

Kirk always liked to read before going to bed as there was so much information in this new world. He wasn't always a fan of books on Earth, but the books were so entertaining and knowledgeable here.

After going to sleep, he awoke in the morning feeling alive. It was his first day going out, and he couldn't wait to start. The King had set up some party members for him to go with.

'I hope they aren't too strong, or else I won't be able to get any experience.'

Kirk had always heard that walking on the rope between life and death could help a warrior grow, so now he wanted to try it for himself. Walking out, Juliette could be seen in the hallway.

"Did I make you wait a while?"

Kirk already knew she was out here for a little bit waiting, so he felt kind of bad for making her wait any longer.

"No, It hasn't been that long at all."

"Alright, that's good. You said I finally got to meet my party members?"

Hearing this, Juliette's face lit up.

"Yep, yep! They were all handpicked to be your supporters and help you along your journey."

Kirk smiled when seeing her face light up and seeming to be asking for something.

"Thanks for all the help the past couple of months."

"Ahh, It is nothing."

Juliette couldn't tell, but she was like a cute little dog getting praised.

"Anyway, let's go now; they are in the training area."

After a little over 5 minutes of walking, they were out in the training area. When they arrived, Kirk could see the regular soldiers training. They saw Kirk walking out, and all gave a wave.

When Kirk was training here, the soldiers gained a certain respect for him as he was a swift learner and could beat many people on swordsmanship alone.

After walking a little further, he saw Gerald with a group of people. It was a group of 4 who were standing beside Gerald.

'It seems like they will be my new companions.'

Seeing them all talk friendly, Kirk already had a good impression of them.

Gerald noticed the two approaching and waved them over.

"Kirk, come over here!"

The two walked over reasonably quickly, and now Kirk could see the four people better. The first person in the group that he saw was a short girl. Her hair was a deep black and contrasted her short stature by being very long, almost reaching her knees. The sun showed on her brown skin, making her even more alluring. She had a long white robe on that accentuated her beauty. She had a small staff in her hands that looked mystical. It had different runes on it, and the crystal at the top of it seemed to shine with different colors.

Beside her was a big man who seemed over 6'6" tall. His robust muscles showed through his shirt, while black shorts only concealed his legs. His wild brown hair seemed to reflect his cold stare.

On the other side of the big man was a shorter man about the same height as Kirk. He had deep fiery hair that seemed to match his fierce gaze. He had a maroon robe that made him look like he was walking on fire. Different symbols could be seen on the robe. He held a brown and white staff with a clear crystal on the top. The crystal looked very mysterious like the first girls, so Kirk could only assume they were magic crystals.

At the very end was a girl only shorter than Kirk. She had a complete set of iron armor, making her look very valiant. Her long hair flowed behind her, making it reflect on the armor. It was as if a valkyrie landed from the heavens. Her spear latched onto her back, and looking at it gave some palpitation to Kirk.

As Kirk was sizing them up, they were sizing him up too. Gerald was the first one to speak.

"As you may know, this is the Hero, Kirk Freud. He will be adventuring with you guys from now on. If you have any complaints with him, just tell me, and I'll fix him right up."

Everyone chuckled a little, but Kirk froze as he could tell Gerald was serious.

"Yes, hello, I am the Hero, Kirk Freud. I am pleased to make your acquaintance. I hope we can have a long journey together!"

Kirk introduced himself nicely and waited for the others to speak. The first one to tell was the short black haired girl.

"I am Reyna Wolf, the party's priest; I hope we can all have a long journey!"

She smiled and raised her hand to shake Kirk's.

'I don't know who I expected the priest to be, but it wasn't her. It seems I will have to trash those stupid stereotypes from the novels I read.'

"I am John Bol, the party's tank; I hope we can all have a long journey."

John looked stiff as he talked, but Kirk didn't mind.

'I guess I shouldn't throw away ALL the stereotype ideas.'

"I am Lon Pro, the party's mage; I hope we can all have a long journey."

He didn't look as happy being here, but he was still polite, so Kirk didn't mind reciprocating.

"I am Hera Reid, the damage dealer of the party; I hope we can all have a long journey."

After hearing everyone's introduction, Kirk had a favorable view of them.

"Well, since we all don't know each other well, let's get some food. Food is on me!"

Kirk already started walking away while everyone was stunned. Even Gerald was a little shocked before shaking his head. Juliette was giggling while watching this scene.

"Well, you guys gonna come?"

"Ahh, yes!"

After that, everyone got to know each other as they all talked while eating some good food.
