SS.1 Once-in-a-lifetime opportunity!

I open my eyes with lights all shining at me. My mind is completely shaken.

It feels like I was a shirt thrown around in a washing machine for an era.

As I start to recover, I hear a bright feminine voice.

"Hero! My name is Juliette, and I am the processes of the kingdom of Jeto. Please, I know this may sound crazy, but our world is getting attacked by the Demon Lord, and only you can stop him. I know we have just taken you away from your won world, but once you beat the Demon Lord, you can return whenever. But you are the only hope."

Standing beside me stood someone so beautiful I couldn't believe my eyes.

Her blonde hair flowed down like a waterfall, and her curved eyebrows and sculpted nose seemed to be made by a master craftsman.

Her somewhat petite body that seemed shorter than I am now bowed towards me.

She was only my age, but her charm exceeded anything I had ever seen.

I look around to notice medieval-like knights all standing in a circle. Behind me are a priest and people standing in a circle.

And to the right was a group of wizards with stereotypical wizard hats and robes.

This... this was a fantasy world! Did I die and become teleported here!?! Impossible! I was just about to get the new game Super Smash Sisters.

However, I would take this over Super Smash Sisters any day if this is what I think it is. I heard a deep man's voice start talking before I could do anything.

"Princess, get up; you cant bow to him. You don't even know if he will be able to beat the Demon Lord."

The princess didn't budge as the knight tried to move her. I slowly got up as I looked around. The chandelier above seemed to be made of diamonds as it shimmered.

The outside windows showed a vast city that seemed to expand for miles. I look back at the princesses and decide on what to say.

Do I accept or not?

They did kidnap me. But what kind of opportunity is this!

A once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, that's what it is!

"Princess, there is no need for you to bow."

I hurriedly followed the etiquette I had learned from watching shows and reading books.

"I would be happy to be the hero, but first, I am gonna need more information than just 'defeat the Demon Lord!'"

The first thing I decided to do was figure out the situation.

If I don't have some cheat ability, I am afraid I will have to chicken out.

Juliette's face flushed red as she hurriedly turned around and walked forward.

I slowly follow, and as I look around, I'm astounded.

So many fancy things, like the walls, paintings, vases, carpets. This is a castle, huh.

We soon arrive in front of a massive door. It's a bright red with golden engravings on it. From a first glance, anyone could tell whatever was behind this door was something important.

Of course, to confirm my thoughts, I hear someone. "

You will now be in the king's presence, be respectful."

As I heard that, the doors slowly opened. On the side of the room, I see tens of nicely dressed people looking over.

From what I could tell, they were probably the kingdom's nobles.

Turning my gaze, I see a middle-aged man sitting on a throne. His gaze was piercing as if he could kill with a glance.

His big frame only helped his dominant gaze.

"Your majesty, the Hero has arrived!"

Hearing this, I hurriedly kneel as I've learned from watching different movies. The king looks at me with his stone-hard gaze.

He finally nods and says,

"You may stand."

"I thank your majesty."

I try to stay as respectful to the king as I can.

"As you know, the Demon Lord has started attacking. He is too strong, so we have used a secret method only known to our royal family to summon you, the Hero, to save the world. I heard you were wondering about the details, so I'll try to be as quick as possible. In our world, we have magic. And with this magic that we are born with, we have figured out a way to connect with the Gods. When we connect to the Gods, we not only can hear their voice, but it allows us to have powers no human could imagine. Now, if you want to stand in the middle of that array, we can open the connection to the Gods and awaken your abilities."

In front of me stood a complicated-looking array. With circles and triangles strewed about randomly.

In the circle, I stand a little awkwardly.

Let's hope this doesn't kill me. All around me are mages with their hands on the array chanting random words.

Wait? How can I understand these people?

I don't have enough time to speak before I feel light from below me. My head starts to spin as multi-color rays hit me.

I hear a dull women's voice before passing out.
