He was looking for crystal monsters all over the place and was a nightmare to all crystal monsters.
The crystal monsters weren't provoking An Lin, but he was actively hunting them down.
Those who hid in large crystals would be plucked out by him. Those who hid within the mountains and underground would also be plucked out by An Lin before being slapped into oblivion.
The soul power emanating from the bodies of the crystal monsters following their deaths was being automatically absorbed by his consciousness, thereby nurturing it and helping it to recover earlier from its dormant state!
