CHAPTER 14

A glowing rock as well as a piece of dirt exploded as Lia screamed in her place.  Her grip was so strong that it turned the ruins of the surrounding buildings into ashes.  Her white hair glistened in the moonlight, which hung in the dungeon, where the white dragon was.

"You stupid!"  Lia cursed while gripping the Latherite Stone stick in her hand.  Instantly the ground of Centraxus shook, making her realize that it was time to stop being emotional.

The white dragon coiled in a crater, which was beneath Lia, hid to protect her disembodied soul.  Shortly after that, his head emerged from a puff of smoke and then soared so high that it almost touched the glimmer of the moon's core that was above his head.

After breathing and gaining strength, he came back down again to lightly encircle Lia's body.  His eyes were white, like sparks from the fire.

"It's not your fault Lily!"  he said softly.  His voice was hoarse, almost like an old lion trapped in a deep cave for help.  "Since Prince Aerus is sick it has nothing to do with you."

"He was too depressed after seeing my face, Dragon!"  Lia said as she looked up.  When their eyes met, slowly the cells in Lia's body that had been damaged due to exerting too much energy finally recovered.  Her skin that's peeling off and exposed the water core slowly re-formed.  "It was my fault because I followed him out of the party hall.  It was my fault that I couldn't be patient and let him stay in Hexodar."

Squeezing her hair so that puffs of smoke billowed out as if it were burning her head, Lia screamed again until the crater shook, vibrating the seven pillars.  The white dragon roared with it causing the pedestal on Centraxus to shake again.

Queen Renoa appeared shortly after, which seemed to be formed from a puff of white smoke.  Her beautiful figure loomed over, then approached her daughter and the white dragon without needing to move her feet.  "Lily!"  she said worriedly.  Her eyes trembled as she watched the skin on her daughter's face melt away.  "Your body will crumble if you keep being like this.  And maybe you won't be able to be reborn.  Do you want to pass up the chance to make things right?"

"I won't be able to fix things, Mother!"  Lia sobbed.  Her body collapsed between the coils of the white dragon's soul's tail.

Seeing this, Queen Renoa waved her hand, asking the dragon to give her way.  She gently grasped her daughter's shoulder.  "You can still go to Hexodar if you want."

Lia's head immediately looked up, as if her hair was being grabbed from behind.  "How do I do it, Mother?" she asked hopefully.  The tears that spilled now slowly stopped.  "I know my body is not perfect.  I haven't been able to get out of the palace too far away.  Especially to Hexodar.  My body will crumble before I can get there."

Then Queen Renoa looked at the white dragon as if asking for something.  "You know what you have to do right?"  she asked and gave permission.

"But that means her core will be messed up because of my presence," said the white dragon, curling up again as if he was dancing. His head stuck out of the air to face Queen Renoa, revealing a snout as well as dangling tendrils.  "She probably won't be a Gigatrum anymore."

"But a Gigadron!"  Queen Renoa replied, "The ancestral race of the Gigatrum, the purer race among us, which has the blood of the white dragon in it." she stepped forward and saluted the white dragon.

Lia was stunned to see this, not understanding why her mother had to kneel and pay respects to the white dragon.  Whereas the white dragon is just a demon-like creature, which coexists with the Gigatrums in Centraxus.

"I beg you, Megalack, our eldest ancestral white dragon.  I beg of you to save your descendants."

Lia widened her eyes.  Megalack, she'd heard that name before.  Her mother had told her once when her body had just formed in a ball of water.  Megalack is the oldest ancestral dragon in Centraxus.  But she didn't know how high his level was.

"You are the first white dragon to live here, who shed your soul core on a Giga that grew from the light of the sky.  Then you have a son and a daughter, who are of the Gigadron race.  You are the main of the main, which is not even known how you were created.  Your soul core can never be predicted, and your spirit remains eternal in this crater."

Lia took a few steps back, then stumbled and fell when she saw Megalack, her great-grandfather, now looking very serious.  He wasn't like the softest and cutest white dragon she'd ever known.  He suddenly looked very different, and also very old.

"You recognize me, my great-granddaughter," said Megalack.  His body suddenly shone so brightly that it gave rise to an explosion of light that spread throughout the universe, like a flash or the brightest flashlight that almost blinded the eye.

The humans and other races in the universe were confused and frightened by that.

"Even though I've been hiding by sealing my soul core," he said again.  "And only certain people can see my identity."  A crown of light appeared on his head.  "It seems that you are very determined to need my help.  Alright, I'll enter Lia's body to give some of my soul core to reincarnate with her.  Her body will soon be intact so she can immediately go to Hexodar."
