The author here: the first volume is more like ...hmm... chapter zero? Introduction ? The beginning? The real story will actually begin with the next volume. The first flight is called the 'Origins Scenario' and has a much deeper meaning. It will probably have more than 100 chapters so there is still a long way to go before we can talk about the next volume... I hope you like my book :)

The mysterious statue

Anka looked at the statue in amazement. Her soul trembled. She didn't know why but she had very strange feelings when she looked at this woman.

Even though she couldn't discern what it was trying to convey, she believed it was relevant to death.

- Wow... is this the goddess of the dead?

The group thought the same as her apparently.

- But the statue is more of a sign of judgment...

The one who had spoken was Hogar.

- We know very little about goddesses. Maybe the death goddess isn't just responsible for death...

This time Alesio had spoken while looking at the statue.

The group was currently studying this statue with no intention of going any further.

- As far as I have recently learned, the energy of death is more relevant to the soul than the energy of life.

These words caused many to have wide-eyed surprise.

Anka, who was not far away looking at the statue with amusement, was suddenly amazed.

- Hmm...souls in my eyes have different forms but when they are clean or have no more desire for life, they turn into pearls.

With these words she looked at the pearls at the statue's feet. They were 80% similar to the pearls she saw when her ability was activated.

Alesio was suddenly excited after hearing the girl's words.

Then he opened his mouth...

- If what Anka says is true, I can translate the meaning of this statue like this:

'First of all this is the goddess of death. Death means more than ending life, just as life means more than birth. Life means growing time, memories, actions, feelings, food, dreams, etc.

But death? Death is mysterious because we are alive, but that doesn't stop us from imagining. This statue I think conveys what death actually means.

After you have died, your soul that lived for a while and collected memories, facts, emotions, is represented by the beating heart. But the fact that heart is on the plate of a scale means that she is judged for all these.

To put it further, what you did in life gets analyzed particle by particle and turns into the chain that binds you to death.

This chain is long and is in the hands of the dead goddess which means she controls your soul, she judges your soul, she knows your soul and punishes it accordingly.

At the feet of the statue there are several small places that seem discreet.'

The world looked at the feet of the statue and they distinguished several small areas over which the woman ruled.

There were a total of nine areas. One with thorns all over, one with rocks, one that looked like it had lava, one with sand. Then one that had a completely black portion and there was ice next to it.

Then there were some areas that didn't seem too bad. The first was completely white, one had clear water and the last looked like a garden.

These were at the feet of women and in them pearls of different colors could be seen, only the white ones were in the garden, where they moved freely.

- These probably represent the levels of hell.

' Many have imagined that after death you go somewhere like hell, and there are many theories and stories, but others believe that after death there is nothing. This proves the opposite.

In fact ... the garden probably means new life ...

Otherwise it does not make sense that the white ball flies back to the scale and becomes a heart .

As for other things that can be explained from this statue, such as the red eye, the clothes he is wearing, the facial expression that is hard to see, and so on, I still have no idea.'

Everyone listened absorbed in Alessio's theory.

Although they had no faith in gods, they were very curious about the things associated with them.

After spending some time looking at this statue, they decided to move on.

Behind the statue the room ended with a wall, but there was a huge black wooden door on it.

When they tried to open the door it was very heavy so they had to push very hard.

After they opened it in such a way that everyone could enter they could study the room from the inside.

Here it was full of books.

If the upstairs library was big, this was huge. At the end of it you could see a white fog blocking the field of vision, but that was not the most unbelievable thing.

The room was also very high. You couldn't see the ceiling. No matter how much they looked or squinted all they could see was a white light coming down from above past the ascending shelves.

Then the furniture in the library was dark brown.

It had few decorations but the floor had a kind of golden tiles.

Books would sometimes open and move from one area to another magically, and the sound of the pages could often be heard throughout the huge room.

Not far from them was a circle on the floor and when they got closer they realized that there were spiral stairs going down into the darkness.

These stairs were made of what appeared to be white bones...

They then separated and tried to open a book to see what was written in it, but every time they tried to touch one an electric current numbed their hand and they dropped the book which then returned to where they had taken it.

They quickly gathered again.

- We can't read the books here...

The one who had spoken was William. But he was interrupted by a man named Bico who was also a birdman.

- I say let's continue down.

At his words, many seemed ready to comment, but they choked on the words when Anka went straight down the bone steps without waiting for anyone.

The groups looked at each other and quickly followed.

As for Anka...

She felt a strange attraction from the moment she entered this library.

Something seemed to be calling her in a whisper from afar...

But her feelings were not normal.

She was very agitated. She also felt extremely irritated.

She even had some suspicions about the source of these feelings but she really didn't want to think about it now.

As she cautiously went down the stairs she hummed a song for a while to distract herself from dangerous thoughts.

This time they only went down a little then another room was in their view.

This was very strange.

It seemed to be an office. It had three doors on each wall. The room had four walls. In the center of it was a large wooden desk. A vintage chandelier hung from the ceiling. A simple rug and a couch were in front of the desk.

The stairs were not too far from them. Because the room was very big , the small landscaped part in the center seemed strange.

As soon as the last of the group stepped on the floor, the bone ladder disappeared like a mist.

The group was then gripped by a bit of fear. Now they seemed trapped here.

But they recovered quickly. Now everyone deals with investigating the room. They decided not to try to open any doors for now for safety reasons.

They studied the walls, the carpet, the sofa and the desk but all they found was white paper and writing instruments.

The doors on the other hand each had a strange symbol.

Besides the symbol, each door looked a little different in certain details.

The group sat down on the carpet in a circle and decided to talk for a bit to see what they were supposed to do.

Anka was looking at the door in the center of the wall behind the desk. That's where her sense of desire came from. Even if she wanted to go there, she was in no hurry. She wanted to see what these people were going to say.

So now she was on the carpet in a comfortable position, happily watching the show.
