Chapter Twenty Three

That night I traced along as a read along in the book of shadows. It started off mostly with instructions on how to cast spells, burning paper, keeping jars, praying, meditating in the sunlight, even casting ashes. It was almost dizzying with all the different things witches cast spells for especially because I didn't know why most of them were so common.

Then I found what I was looking for, summoning spirits with meditation. I skimmed through most of the paragraphs, deciding pretty soon it was way to much to read in one night. But I did plan on going back to read it.

The book said to call the spirits, you had to chant a incantation and repeat it about three or four times. Seemed easily enough. I turned off all the lights as the motel room was only lit from the cracked door of the bathroom, there were only about three or four incantations in this section but I knew I would need more. I had to practice as much as possible to get used to this magic summoning.

The book said that once you summoned an spirit wheather it be a ghost spirit or a evil spirit you had to catch it or possess it quickly or risk the spirit escaping into the human realm.

"Remay Vos oct tu desverante it nocturnum" I said. For a second I almost expected for something to happen but remember that I had to chant. Chant. Focus.

"Remay Vos oct tu desverante it nocturnum"

I repeated. My eyes were closed but I listened in the stillness of the night in my bedroom for anything to happen.

So I kept chanting, "Remay Vos oct tu desverante it nocturnum" over and over again.
