Xylon hated the fact that he had so many plans to harm her but he wanted her to be standing on her feet so that he could do them .
There was nothing appealing about harming her when she was already harmed .
As the hours passed, Xylon remained steadfast in his position, cradling Eva in his arms as she leaned against him.
Initially, he was so preoccupied with trying to understand what had caused her distress that he failed to notice the subtle signs of exhaustion etched across her features.
But as the sun rose higher in the sky, casting a warm and comforting glow around them, he finally became aware of her slumber.
