I Farm Demons : Unholy Necromancer In the Apocalypse

In a post-apocalyptic world ravaged by war with demonic forces, civilization as it once existed is all but gone.  In its place, a new order had emerged, with humans developing magical abilities as each generation passed.  To ensure the survival of their species, society had been divided into Circles, with each member guaranteed a specific job once they reached the age of eighteen. Xylon Sinclair was an orphan with a limited affinity for magic, and he had been reincarnated as a punishment for his past deeds.  In a former life, he was Zephyr, a powerful demon who served the mighty Balthyrov, the Lord of Demons, until he became a perceived threat. He got killed mercilessly and got forced to reincarnate as a fragile human being as a punishment. Upon reaching the age of eighteen, Xylon was told that he will become a Soul Keeper, a role that he knew nothing about. Despite his confusion, he had no choice but to accept this position.  However, rather than following the status quo, Xylon experimented with the system, using his formal knowledge about the demon realm to resurrect demons from thousands of years ago.  What had started as a mere curiosity soon turned into an obsession for Xylon.  He was fascinated by the power that he could wield by bringing the ancient demons back from the dead.  It was as if he had discovered a new realm of possibilities that he had never imagined before. And then, he started to dream bigger... Xylon Sinclair wanted to rule over both realms, human and demon realm... //////////////// For those who wanted to contact me, here is my discord : Yoonaas#3976 p.s: the cover is purely mine , and it is made solely for this webnovel, it shows Zephyr. After 15 years

The headmaster of the school and all the teachers stood in a line, facing the students with solemn expressions on their faces.

After a brief moment of silence, the headmaster spoke.

"This year's test was undoubtedly challenging. We pushed you to the limits of your abilities because we know what awaits you beyond the walls of this institution.

The world outside is fraught with danger, and we want to ensure that you are all equipped with the necessary skills to survive and thrive."

He paused for a moment, looking out at the sea of faces before him. "You will soon be joining various circles, and you will encounter new people and challenges.

Our role as educators is to ensure that you do not cause any harm and that you use your powers for the greater good."

The headmaster then gestured to Teacher John, who stepped forward to announce the results of the test.

"As you all know, our society is divided into different circles, each with its own vital role to play in maintaining our existence. The results of this test were based on your powers and overall performance, and they will determine which circle you will join."

With a sweep of his arm, Teacher John gestured to the students around them, as if to encompass the entire world.

"In this post-apocalyptic world, magic has become the backbone of society," he began. "And to ensure that we survive, we,  the people of Havag, have organized ourselves into circles."

The teacher's eyes glittered with intensity as he continued to explain. "Each circle has its own unique purpose, and every member of society belongs to one of them.

The circles work together to maintain order and keep us all safe from the demonic forces that still roam our world."

He paused for a moment, as if to let the weight of his words sink in.

"There are many different circles," he continued, "from the Healers, who use their magic to mend the sick and injured, to the Enforcers, who are responsible for keeping the peace."

Teacher John's voice grew more animated as he spoke of the different circles, describing each one in vivid detail. "Then there are the Builders, who use their magic to construct homes and fortifications. And the Scouts, who venture out into the dangerous world beyond our walls to gather resources and intel."

He paused for a moment, as if to catch his breath. "And these are just a few examples. Each circle has its own unique role to play, and every member is essential to our survival"

He took a deep breath before continuing. "I implore you all to accept the results with grace and humility. We understand that this can be a daunting experience, but it is essential that you embrace your destiny and fulfill your duty to humanity."

With a flourish of his hand, Teacher John conjured up a screen in front of the assembled students.

The magical screen hovered in the air, waiting for the teacher to input the names of those who had passed the test.

The room was silent, with all eyes trained on the screen. As the first name appeared, a murmur of excitement rippled through the crowd.

"The first place goes to Deric Lourange!" announced Teacher John with a note of pride in his voice. "Congratulations, Deric! Your performance was truly exceptional , you go to the scavengers circle."

But the teacher's expression grew serious as he continued, "However, I must also note that you need to work on your teamwork skills. Remember, the circles are designed to function as a cohesive unit, and it's important that you can work well with others."

There were two circles that stood out above the rest - the sentinel mages and the scavengers.

The sentinel mages were the protectors of the community, the ones tasked with keeping the demonic forces at bay and ensuring the safety of the people. They were the guardians of the magical realm, possessing immense power and knowledge that allowed them to fend off any threat that dared to cross their path.

On the other hand, the scavengers were the ones who kept the community on the search of what was beyond the  veil that protected them,  braving the dangers of the post-apocalyptic world to gather resources and bring them back to the people.

Despite the importance of all the other circles, none could match the power and influence of the sentinel mages and the scavengers.

The screen continued to fill up with names as Teacher John worked his way down the list.

Some students looked elated, while others appeared dejected.

The teacher did his best to offer words of encouragement to those who hadn't performed as well as they'd hoped, reminding them that there were still many opportunities to improve.

The students shifted nervously as Teacher John began to read out the names of those who had passed the test and the circles they had been assigned to.

As the last name was read out, Teacher John bowed his head and thanked the students for their hard work.

"I wish you all the best as you embark on this next chapter of your lives. Remember, the circles are the backbone of our society, and it's up to each and every one of you to ensure that humanity thrives in this new world."

The room fell silent as Teacher John's words echoed through the arena . All eyes turned to him, waiting for him to continue.

Teacher John's voice reverberated through the arena, and the silence was deafening as all eyes were fixed on him, eagerly awaiting his next words.

"There is a job, one that has never been given to another for the past 15-year cycle," Teacher John said, pausing for a moment to let the words sink in.

"It is a job of great importance, one that requires patience, devotion, and an unwavering commitment to our community."

Xylon's eyes were fixed on his teacher.

'Commitment, he said ' Xylon thought very pissed .

Could it be possible that he was being considered for this position?

"But this year," Teacher John continued, drawing out the moment for dramatic effect, "it is open..."

Xylon just kept looking at Kohn very coldly waiting for him to say what he wanted .

"...Xylon Sinclair,  this job is going to you "
