She then took her time to scribble something and showed it to her parents.

[Ah. I am curious about something.]

Seeing this, Haneul's mother looked at her with a gentle expression and smiled. "What is it?"

With that being said, Haneul was at first hesitant. It might trigger some bad memories. That was why she was being careful. However, if she were to stay silent and curious, she could not possibly know the answer. In addition, it seemed like her parents were very doting towards her, perhaps because she was the only child and that they were separated for a long time. If she were to ask for a mountain of gold at that instant, surely they would not hesitate to do so. 

Mustering up her courage, Haneul closed her eyes before mentally cheering herself up and scribbling her question.
