She looked at him from the peripheral of her vision with the food in front of her barely touched. Her mind was swirling with thoughts of how lucky she was to have a friend like Daniel. But he was now more than just a friend, her mind reminded her.
"Don't you like your steak?" He asked as he placed down his fork and knife to check on her.
He was observing her since they left his aunt's shop. She and his aunt seemed to hit it off. She looked happy, and so far, enjoying their date, so he wondered what was going through her mind at the moment.
"No. I'm just grateful for all the effort that you're doing just to make me happy." She said as she extended her hand to touch his on top of the table. Assuring him that nothing was wrong.
