Katherine heard different voices that seemed to be far away saying those things, it was as if she was dreaming but then it felt to real to be a dream, her hands slightly moved and she slowly opened her eyes.

She tiredly sat up and it seemed that the excruciating pain she felt earlier had disappeared and now after sitting up and adjusting to the environment for a couple of minutes she felt more energetic, more awake and stronger even.

She shifted her gaze to look at the doctors that were looking at her in awe, happiness was written all over their faces, the head of the doctor or scientists approached Katherine and said "congratulations miss Katherine, you have passed level one of BEPBU.

It's truly a miracle because no one has ever survived even the first stage, consider yourself lucky miss Katherine. Anna will see you to your room" the woman signaled one of the doctors and a petite woman came forward and gestured Katherine to follow her.

Katherine followed the woman named Anna to see that they were not heading towards the door that they came in but rather they were heading towards the wall on the other side of the huge experimental room, she wondered how they were going to pass through the wall but then as soon as the woman pressed her palm on the wall, it suddenly opened and Katherine saw that there was a hidden door there.

The woman unlocked the door using her thumb and then went inside with Katherine following her. When they entered the room Katherine saw that the entire room was white, including the floor and the ceiling.

She saw there was one small bed that can only accommodate one person inside, other than the bed she saw a chair and on that chair there was three pieces of dresses, one of them was an all white jumpsuit, the other was a business suit that was also white and then lastly there was another piece of what she was currently wearing right now which was just a thin strapped crop top and shorts.

"This is where you will be staying until the project is completed, the bathroom is that way by your left, there are basic necessities inside and you will be given food every other day, we can't have you eat every day because it might slow the progress of the injections and other things. You should rest because tomorrow you have another test to go through " Anna sternly said to Katherine.

Katherine simply nodded and the woman left. As soon as the door was closed she fell down on the cold and hard floor as stream of hot tears kept rolling down her cheeks uncontrollably.

She couldn't believe that Tom whom she had trusted so much would betray her like this. She wondered if she had ever offended him in any way for him to do this to her but then she could not recall ever hurting him in any way.

She remembered the time they spent together, the happy memories that she shared with Tom, Hannah and Stephanie and Katherine couldn't help but feel her heart break to pieces.

She missed her two best friends and at this point she missed even her toxic family, she wished she could tell them that even though they treated her badly she still loved them. Katherine closed her eyes and the image of the person that she was longing for the most came to her mind, "I miss you Gege" she whispered.

Katherine wondered if Tom sold her because she told him about her first love, he did annulled their marriage that same day so she thought perhaps he was hurt because he felt betrayed by her and that is why he decided to take revenge on her by selling her to this crazy scientist or whatever they are.

Katherine remembered clearly that she never gave Tom any false signal so she never betrayed him in Anyway, and her feelings are not in her control, it's not like she can choose who to love or who to hate, the matters of the heart are many times difficult to control and to understand, she definitely did not deserve this.

The next day, Katherine was brought out and was injected with a different chemical that was far worse than the previous one, she screamed at top of her lungs because of the pain, this time she was unconscious for more than two hours and her heart rate was slowing down, even the doctors/scientists thought that this time she wasn't going to make it because of her condition, but luckily for her after three more hours she regained her consciousness and went back to normal and this got the scientist shocked and relieved at the same time.

Katherine noticed that her body was changing, she felt stronger and her senses seemed faster and sharper, her ability to hear and see had considerably heightened and even though she went through a session of extreme pain due to the injection a few hours ago right now she felt lighter and she wasn't in any pain at all. What Katherine didn't know was that even her physical appearance were changing, but she had no idea because there was no mirror there.

Katherine was resting in her room when Anna came in and ordered her to wear her jumpsuit and she did, when she was done changing she was brought out of the room and she was now in the lab again, Anna walked towards a different side of the same wall that hid Katherine's room an pressed her palm and yet again another door came into view and after unlocking it she went inside to be followed by Katherine.

In this room, there was nothing inside and it was painted all black, but the sight of an unfamiliar figure caught her attention. Out of all the huge scary women that she had came across this was the biggest and the most intimidating one. She gulped and took a step back only to be pushed forward again by Anna. She felt a shiver run down her spine when she heard Anna said.

"This is Tina, your new coach. She will teach you how to fight through different techniques, she is an expert in Taekwondo, judo, Sanda, boxing, wrestling, Savate, Kickboxing, Lethwei, Muay Thai, you name it. She's the goddess of martial arts. Once she's done training you then you will be given a new coach that will teach you other things. But for now, try to stay alive" and with that said Anna turned around and left the frozen Katherine standing like a statue.

Katherine was about to bolt out and follow Anna when Tina grabbed her hair and threw her back on the floor, Katherine hit her head but Tina didn't stop there, she grabbed her hand and made her stand and then punched her face until Katherine saw stars "Defend yourself woman! Don't just stand there like a sack of potatoes" barked Tina.

After coming back to her senses she stood up and tried to hit Tina but she was the one who ended up being beaten black and blue instead. After the session was over Katherine could barely stand. Tina looked at her expressionlessly and said "Even though you passed out a couple of times today it wasn't so bad since you are still conscious at the end of the session, I will see you tomorrow and remember to prepare yourself because I will not tolerate any slacking. "

Anna arrived at the same time and Katherine had to limp her way out because nobody helped her and when she arrived at the lab to go to her room nobody even bothered to offer her a medical aid even after seeing her condition. She immediately fell asleep and when she woke the next day Katherine saw that all her wounds have healed on their own as if they were never there in the first place, she was beyond shocked and flabbergasted.

Four months later, Katherine had endured going through several painful injections and the difficult trainings with Tina. But Katherine was surprised at herself because now she was more than an equal to Tina, they had a training session yesterday and she really defeated Tina, she couldn't believe that all the things that Tina was an expert at she was now better than her. It's incredible.

Being there Katherine learned how to deal with pain on her own, she learned how to bear it as her body was growing stronger every day with her increasing strength and abilities, Katherine was sure that one day she would be able to escape from this place on her own.

"Good morning miss Katherine, today's experiment is going to be a bit different so please bear with it" the head scientist said to Katherine as she was made to lie down on her back and was handcuffed to the bed as usual.

Katherine was waiting for the different injection to come but instead she saw the head scientist and a red haired woman who was second in charge pull out sharp looking knives and before she could understand what was going on the women went on either side of her thighs and cut her with the sharp knife

"AHHHHHHH" Katherine screamed in extreme pain, she had never experienced anything more painful than this.

All her past experiences faded away compared to this. The women continued to cut her thigh and completely removed the flesh that was on the top of her thigh until Katherine's bones could be seen.
