I See You

No one else was that attracted by the core or did not need it, that left Vin to keep it. But hat's not what they wanted in any regards, their main goal was to figure out what the hell just happened. Draco, of course, would be the one to inquire upon what happened, "How did you do that?!"

Vin promptly answered despite knowing what happened last time, "By having a better ability than you. Duh." Arrogance reigned supreme, even more so now that he could back it up. "Before you respond, I think water phoenixes and wind orbs are much better than arrows.

Flabbergasted by the pride in Vin's voice, Draco immediately responded, "What phoenix! That was a chicken at best! What's a wind orb gonna do? Give me a nice breeze at the beach?"

This discussion had to but cut short though as Vin, despite wanting to win the argument so badly, looked forward and said ominous words, "There's three powerful creatures approaching. They're not waiting for us like other arc-beast."

Emma with strength in her voice said her thoughts that sounded more like an ultimatum, "Then we wait for them."

The group nodded in agreement towards her "plan" and got ready for a fight. Emma sitting in the back not wanting to carry them through the fight, but also not letting them die.

It took about 30 seconds before the figures of three armored statues made of stone, wielding a sword and shield each, came into the team's view. With flames reverberating through the cracks that traveled across their bodies and equipment, the statues looked like the guards of hell.

The bodies of the statues looked so life-like, exquisitely carved sculptures of the dungeon.

The statues swung their blades in sync, launching three arcs of flames that threatened to engulfed them all.

The flames were defeated, however, as a wall of earth rose up from the shot of an arrow hitting the ground. Patches of dirt were launched off into the air as three indentures appeared on the walls. The statues each took a step back before a counter attack could be made and launched black orbs the size of basketballs at the group of humans.

Two explosions were made and the wall was destroyed, the third orb going just a bit further before it was sliced in half by Alexander's sword and dispersed into the air.

"Crescent of the Holy Moon." A humanoid figure of resplendent gold light shined behind Alexander. Making the same moments that Alexander did as it enhanced the strike that threatened to bring the heavens down.

The air was pushed away as an arch of gold speckled with white light glided through. It wasn't as large as the statues but it was incomparably stronger than it. Like a hot knife and butter, the statue in the middle was cut in two from the waist.

No resistance, just two halves of the body. The statues if they could think, would have regretted not fleeing. Too bad they are purely instinctual. Fourteen bullets of wind pierced another statue's head until it went through.

The last statue was frozen to death by Anna surprisingly, she cast some sort of mysterious spell and suddenly the statue had ice rise and freeze it's body. No one expected that, not even Anna herself since had no ability that quantified her strength and told her what all her skills did.

The fight was relatively short since they're all absolutely broken when it comes to their own rank. This turned the entire gate into playground where each swing of a blade caused another death. From here on they swapped to running through till they got to Bastion, absolutely decimating any unfortunate arc-beast to get in their way.

*Bap*

The second milky white wall was passed through has they reached the second checkpoint. They only stayed there for a short while to regain their breath and began running again, slashing through, piercing, burning, and freezing each poor, poor creature.

The sight of corpses, the shrieks of death, and the smell of blood was but something they had gotten used to over the two hours. At least that of arc-beast, who knows if they're used to human corpses yet.

Finishing up the second to final battle that was painfully difficult, Alexander slashed a flying-grotesque eye in two with a energy covered sword. "Ugh, finally." He complained wanting to get this over. "Let's count how many gems there are first."

Mumbling was heard as from the direction two gem-filled bags, Draco and Vin was seeing who could finish counting their bag. Vin suddenly exclaimed causing Draco to lose his attention, "107!" Draco promptly yelled to the sky- I mean cavern's roof- a nice expletive.

Humming Vin led the way to toward the end till they saw a majestic metal door that was 8x most of their heights. Anna flicked her hand towards the door, with enough force that made her have to prepare the kinetic energy in her hand.

*THUD*

A loud banging noise resounded from the door as it was forced open. Dust attacked their eyes as it clouded the area, settling about a minute later.

Slow and audible steps were taken forward. With each tap another heart palpitation that was louder than their thoughts. A Gamma Boss represented something to feel trepidation of, it was at least twenty-five times stronger than a normal boss. That was the minimum.

This isn't even including their skills yet… oh would you look at that. A red flame appeared in their vision, surrounded by the darkness in front of them. The darkness however was only temporary as the next step caused many flame to turn on across the cavern.

What stood before them was a behemoth in terms of size. A shadowy figure the size of eight men with a fiery core in the middle. Upon noticing the party, fire spread up through the shadows like veins and formed a set of knight's armor from the head first.

Emma took charge without hesitation, "Vin create a wall of earth for Anna, Draco take the left, use Light and Wind arrows, Alexander you have a holy attribute so go directly attack." Pausing a second, she considered one more thing, "Anna occasionally freeze its legs."

The plan was put into motion but abruptly interrupted by 3 lasers of flames being shot towards Draco and Alexander each. An arrow was shot into the ground to launch him up with wind. Alexander took a drastically different approach deflecting two of them away. The third one was too close to be deflected, so he defended, causing it to be scrapped across his sword. Launching his body that seemed like a steel wall to the normal gamma creatures away, sliding across the ground.

Emma took a sigh as if expecting this, "Anna now… UwU." With instantaneous speed she transformed as if the previous show was to flex. A hand of hers slowly outstretched as the boss realized it was frozen in place, rushing to melt the ice. It only froze the boss for 3-4 seconds, but that was enough.

That slowly hand slowly rise with Emma's arm… only a finger remained pointing. With a domineering aura, a beam of light pierced the knightly armor, the shadowy body, and the fiery core. The boss realized it missed the biggest threat and wanted to move to crush the puny cat human. However, it was too late. The beam of light came back, piercing its head.

Emma tsk'd with disdain as she said another tyrannical set of words, "How about you being obliterated… OwO."

Energy and lights flared out from a cocoon of light that was created as she seemed to get even stronger from her already ridiculous show of power with every second that passed.

1… 2… 3… 4… 5.

After 5 seconds passed her power stopped rising and a new form was revealed with the fade of the lights.

Black tattoos lines that were speckled with white appeared on her arms and presumably spread to her chest, though, we don't know since her shirt didn't pop off like an anime. Even longer glorious yet wildly hair which changed from white to jet black flowing through the air as she floated up. Her fingernails extended further 8 inches and sharpened even further as they threatened to pierce the very skies itself!

The boss didn't sit idle and watch her transform but during the five seconds the black wave of pure malice it released dissolved at it touched the cocoon she made. Sadly the boss was too weak.

"Element regulation." Emma said two words that were even more imposing than the last.

Earth, fire, water, wind. All four elements in the form of spears skewered the boss. The core already shattered within it clung to life barely as the creature put in a last ditch effort to save its self. The flames that lit the place up began to fly towards the boss, but they were stopped mid air. Proving its efforts to be futile.

With apathy in her eyes Emma raised her palm, "By fighting me you were courting death." The wind was directly pushed down in the shape of Emma's palm, squishing the the boss and leaving an imprint in the cavern.

She then floated down to the ground and reverted to her base state after seeing the boss was truly dead with no flame of life in its core.

I don’t write when I feel like it’s not gonna go how i want it to flow… That’s why it took so freaking long. But now I have a great idea of how I truly want it to flow. Expect daily or near daily chapters and a mass release sometime within 7 days as I try to write faster and better. [insert thumbs up]
