Chapter 50: Meeting Dreadfang Ravager

The monster carried Jiang Lei along a hidden path in the forest.

As they venture deeper in the forest, the mist around got thicker, the mist made it hard to see.Sometimes, Jiang Lei worried that the monster might be tricking him.

But he still chose to not to attack, he is very confident in his strength, he can count those monsters in this mistwood forest on his fingers who has the strength to endanger his life, and this monster, doesn't matter how he look, doesn't seem like it can have any contact with such a powerful creature.

Killing this monster wouldn't help him find the Dreadfang Ravager, so he held back from taking any hasty actions.

But, it doesn't mean he will blindly believe this monster, Jiang Lei kept a close eye on the monster, always ready for any sudden change.

The monster's speed was surprisingly fast as it carried Jiang Lei through the dense misty forest, it seemed like it is very familiar with all the surrounding here.

Jiang Lei, who was looking around at his surroundings for any sudden attack of monster, suddenly shouted, "Stop!"

The monster shivered from the sudden shout, and it came to an abrupt halt, its massive form trembling.

It turned to Jiang Lei, its eyes filled with confusion and fear, unsure about the reason for the sudden command.

Jiang Lei didn't pay any attention to the monster, he closed his eyes, focusing his consciousness to sense his surroundings. After a brief moment, he opened his eyes, with an excited glint.

He quickly dismounted from the monster and fixed a stern gaze on it. He said in an indifferent tone, "I'll give you ten seconds to disappear from my sight. If I can still see you after that....Hmph! I don't think that I need to explain."

The monster, though trembling with fear, nodded vigorously in understanding. It wasted no time and immediately turned to flee, disappearing into the dense misty forest.

Jiang Lei watched it vanish from his sight and then he turned his attention back to the first, tall trees before him, a smile appeared in his face, "Finally, I got you."

Jiang Lei didn't hesitate. He quickly moved forward, disappearing into the shadowy depths of the ominous forest before him.

Jiang Lei continued to run for a while until he abruptly halted in his tracks, he looked before him with murderous eyes.

A cave loomed before Jiang Lei, it's enterance pitch black, the cave's depths seemed to swallow all light.

It was looking like a ferocious monster has opened his mouth, to swallow everything around it.

Jiang Lei murderous gaze fixed on the cave, and his voice cold as ice. "This time, there's no escape."

With lightning speed, he charged into the daunting darkness, disappearing from sight in an instant.

Inside the dimly lit cave, Jiang Lei's eyes adjusted swiftly to the darkness.

He can see the framework of a collosal monster lying before him in slumber.

Jiang Lei's gaze brimmed with murderous intent, he can't wait to tear this monster apart, but he knew better than to act recklessly and risk waking the beast.

With a surge of power, a giant fiery sword materialized in Jiang Lei's grasp, its blazing heat and light piercing through the cave's cold and darkness.

"Slash!"

It shot towards the sleeping monster, leaving behind a bright trail of fire that wove through the dark cave like a fiery snake on the hunt.

As it approached, the sword's fiery speed created a loud roar, like a strong wind howling through the cave.

Monster eyes opens sensing the murderous intent and the threat, it quickly trys to dodge the attack but unfortunately, even though he was very fast, the sword was faster.

It couldn't match the speed with the pre planned attack from Jiang Lei, it hitted at his legs precisely, almost cutting it off his body.

"Growl!"

Dreadfang roared in pain, blood flushed on the ground of cave, dying it in red colour.

It lifted its head with difficulty, wanted to see who made his this condition.

Dreadfang finally understood the meaning of terror when it saw a figure surrounded by flames, standing right in front of it. The person had cold, murderous eyes that made the monster's own eyes widen with fear.

"Roar!"

The monster let out a loud, angry roar, mixed with fear and fury. It can never forget this person – the one who had ruined its plans and almost killed it. This person is also responsible for the loss of its Talent, something that is worse than killing it.

Just looking at this human filled it with rage, it doesn't have any wish at this moment except killing this human.

What made the monster even angrier was that it didn't just come to settle the score – but this monster came to his door and attacked it while it was resting.

Jiang Lei was unaware of the inner turmoil of the monster. All he could sense was its pain, anger and hatred to himself. And this is what that satisfies Jiang Lei the most, he looked at the angry monster and asked with a smile "Remember me!"
