chapter 6

The Justice League members, Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Green Lantern, Martian Manhunter, and Aquaman, were all gathered in the Watchtower, their base of operations in outer space. They were discussing a recent event that had taken place: The Flash had been helped by an unknown ally in his fight against Reverse Flash, and now Reverse Flash was nowhere to be found.

Batman was the first to speak, "I've been secretly watching and recording the events that took place during the fight between Flash and Reverse Flash. Flash was helped by an unknown figure who disappeared as soon as the fight was over."

Wonder Woman chimed in, "I find it strange that someone would just appear out of nowhere to help Flash, and then disappear just as quickly. We should try to find out who this person is and what their motivations are."

Batman brought out a large screen and began playing the recording of the fight between Flash and Reverse Flash. The rest of the Justice League watched intently as they saw Flash battling against his arch-nemesis. Just as it seemed like the Reverse Flash was about to gain the upper hand, a figure appeared out of nowhere and joined the fight, quickly turning the tide in Flash's favor. The figure was difficult to make out, shrouded in shadows and moving at a superhuman speed, but the Justice League members could tell that whoever it was, they were extremely skilled in hand-to-hand combat and had a deep knowledge of the Reverse Flash's abilities and weaknesses. As the fight ended the figure used some sort of unknown magic on Reverse Flash, creating a symbol on his chest that made him unconscious.

The figure then scooped up Reverse Flash and disappeared into the shadows, running at a speed that matched that of a speedster. The League members were stunned as they watched the figure disappear from view.

Aquaman spoke up, "What kind of magic was that? I've never seen anything like it before." Superman added, "And who is this mysterious figure? They seem to have speeds that are on par with that of Flash, or at the very least comparable to that of Kid Flash."

Batman was deep in thought, "I'm not sure, but I have a feeling that we're going to be hearing a lot more about this person in the future. We need to find out who they are and what their motives are."

Wonder Woman chimed in, "I agree. We need to act fast. Reverse Flash is one of the greatest threats to the world, and if he's fallen into the hands of someone with unknown motives, it could spell disaster for us all."

Martian Manhunter suggested, "We should start by investigating the symbol that was left on Reverse Flash. It could hold the key to unlocking the mystery of this unknown figure."

Batman stood up and headed towards his computer station. The rest of the Justice League watched as he quickly began typing away on his keyboard, his fingers moving with lightning speed. "I will contact Zatanna, John Constantine, and Doctor Fate," he announced. "They are some of the most skilled magic users in the world, and I believe they will be able to help us investigate the magic used by the stranger and the symbol he left on Reverse Flash."

The Flash hung his head, a look of disappointment on his face. "I just feel so disappointed in myself," he said. "I should have been able to defeat Reverse Flash on my own. I never expected to need help from someone else."

Batman placed a hand on Flash's shoulder. "Don't be too hard on yourself, Barry. Reverse Flash is one of the most dangerous villains we've ever faced. The fact that you were able to hold your own against him is a testament to your skills."

Wonder Woman added, "And we don't know anything about this mysterious figure who helped you. For all we know, they could have had their own reasons for intervening. We need to find out who they are and what their motivations are before we can make any judgments."

The Flash nodded, his expression brightening slightly. "You're right. I shouldn't be so hard on myself. But I still want to know who this person is and why they helped me."

The Flash's thoughts were swirling with confusion and uncertainty. He was the fastest man alive, and up until now, he believed that only he and his two counterparts, Reverse Flash and Wally West, were capable of moving at such incredible speeds. But the appearance of this mysterious figure, who was able to move so fast, was a game-changer.

"Besides me, Reverse Flash, and Wally West, no one is supposed to be as fast as us. No one that I know of. This must be a new speedster." Flash said, voicing his thoughts aloud.

The rest of the Justice League listened intently, taking in the Flash's words. They all knew how significant it was that another person was able to match the speed of Flash.
