Chapter 6: A New Start…

New York City, Liam's penthouse

Liam was standing inside his new house with his sister, Kara. It was a big pent house with five bedrooms and a living room, dining room and a kitchen. The rooms were lavishly decorated and furniture was also there, so they just had to arrange their clothes, toiletries and bring some groceries. They didn't need a big house as they were just two of them. He was remembering the chain of events that just happened…..

His forced engagement, then he was so angry with his father that he demanded for ten million dollars and said that it was no safe for him and his sister to stay with such a greedy and dangerous man who doesn't even care about his kids…. And the ten million dollars were for him to set up a new gaming company.

He was a programmer but his father wanted him to become to take over R's Group of companies and also admitted him to business school but he was interested in programing so he changed his subjects without his father's knowledge. And of course it was her dream…their dream to establish their own company...

He was pulled from his thoughts when Kara called him "Brother! Brother!" he looked at her and she continued "what were you thinking I was calling you since last 5 minutes!?"

"Nothing, I was just admiring our new house" he said with a small smile. He also got a small smile in return.

Now it was a new start of their life….. A life without a sweet family they were used to live with. Now it was just he and his sister….

Essex, Connecticut, Lakewood house

It had been two weeks, since all this started, Krystal was sitting in her room it was comfortable and beautiful. She liked it, the wallpaper behind her bed was of a forest look and the furniture and her pillows were moss green and rest all, the curtains, mattress of her bed was white. It was perfect for her, there was also a small balcony at the corner of her room and that was full with small plants it all made her feel connected to nature in this busy world.

She was very happy with her family the all pampered her like a little baby she was just discharged from the hospital a week ago but when she was in hospital there was at one of the family member so she questioned that person. And they told her everything she asked them. Now she knew that she was twenty years old and had graduated from a computer science college. She was an expert programmer and wanted to make games and made web pages for small businesses that started in Essex.

Her father, Jacob Lakewood owned a small newspaper publishing company and the newspaper was only famous in Connecticut so they were not to rich, they were just rich middle class people, who led simple lives. Her brother was an interior designer and was quite talented and famous in the city. And her mother was a primary school teacher.

But she still had a question in mind, how did she get into such a severe accident…..

While she was pondering on this question, her mother called her downstairs, "Krystii, sweetheart come down, it's time for dinner."

"Yes mom! Coming" she yelled as she got up and went downstairs.

Soon all were sitting over dining table and her dad was tell them an incident from his office and everyone was laughing. But each time she the question popped in her mind. So at last she took a deep breath and the said, "I want to ask something" and looked at everyone and everyone stiffened and serious look on their faces.

Ryn knew what was she going to ask and he was just waiting for this question to come up. Then he said with a smile on his face, "Ask what you want to ask Kris we are here for you."

"How did I get into such a severe accident?" she asked.

Before anyone could speak Ryn started speaking, "we went for a hiking trip for a weekend in the forest, some other friends, you and me, it is just few kilometres away from the city. We were climbing the cliff, while climbing up there you had your video camera with you, and you were recording the thing in the way unknowingly you recorded a murder, happening over there and the assassins saw you doing it and you didn't even know what was happening. They started following us and waiting for you to be alone and then that night we left you at the camp alone, I had went to bring dry logs for fire and others went to bring some water and wild fruits. They caught you in that time of course destroyed your camera at the exact time one of the others had returned but seeing those men he just hid among the tree and just saw what was happening. They were going to shoot you but you ducked and somehow escaped them and ran as fast as you can shouted for help they as soon as I heard your voice, I ran in your direction but at that time you at the edge of the cliff and your leg slipped and you fell down, I saw you falling, at that time I didn't think about those bastards, there was a way down the cliff, I ran that way and started to find you and then, I found you and took you to the hospital you were severely injured, then the doctor told you were in coma and then you know the rest….." he finished with a sigh.

She looked at him, and then said, "You didn't try to punish the people who did that to me"

"What could I do Kris, they all were assigned by a very rich, powerful and influential family, if we would have tried to get in their way they would has killed all of us, they thought you were dead…. And just not one family Kris but all influential rich are the same they just care about their profit and nothing else, they don't even care for their own families…."

"Just forget about this brother, after hearing this I have stared hating rich from this moment, and I am never going near them…. And now there is no need to be sad over the past. We will make a new start. And I will start making new memories…." she said with a smile. And everyone nodded smiling.
