3-Father why are you scared?

After my father finished his work he told one of the servants to prepare a picnic bag for the two of us.

"Do you want any other thing, my dear?"

"No, father. Thank you for asking me about this."

I gave him a big and bright smile.

Even seeing the cakes servants put in the picnic bag could be able to make my stomach scream at me with hunger.

Father was working for the human lord as expected. It could be said that he was the right arm of the human lord. So this was a big opportunity to meet with the human lord's son.

He must be the same age as me right now so this was my chance.

"Are you ready to go my dear?"

"Yes, father. I'm always ready with you."

He held my hand and started walking toward the forest. The garden was a good place too for a picnic but we always preferred the forest.

My father thinks that the forest was much quieter than the garden and also there were no servants who can come anytime.

But for now, my reason for the picnic was being able to see the vampire lord and his children. At least this was one of the things I hope I could be able to do.

"Father, shall we sit there?"

I pointed to a grassy place between trees. He nodded and start to prepare the picnic for me.

Seeing my beautiful father was always made me proud since I got into this world. His red hair was like games in the sunshine and his blue eyes were like deep seas that can drown you.

With no sibling or no mother, he was the only one I have.

My mom, the main female lead's mom, had died after giving birth to me.

When I read this part of the novel I was thinking that Duke Azer would hare from his little daughter.

But he loved her more and more because of this. Because she was the only one who stayed as a memory of her beautiful wife Arin.

And this was something I can use in the future. This thought was feeling a bit bad but is there any other choice?

"Father, would you like some cake?"

"Anything from you my princess."

This was one of his sides that no one know about.

"Father, can I play with vampires in the future?"

"Of course, you can my little princess. But you need to tell me about this first ok?"

"I'll father. There is no way that I'll do something by not telling you."

Again, he smiled at me without knowing that gr will send his little daughter to a vampire's castle.

Then I heard a voice coming from near the trees.

"Hey! Li stop running away from me, it's just a little spider."

When I heard the name Li I reflectively walk forward to the voice as fast as I can. Father was saying something but I wasn't hearing him. I was getting closer to the voice and then BANG.

Someone fell on to me.

"Karen!"

"Li!"

Both our parents run to us to see if we are ok or not.

"Are you ok my dear? Karen, why did you get that far?"

"Li, are you hurt? I told you not to run away that fast didn't I?"

I couldn't focus on my father's words. I was carefully looking at the vampire prince Li.

He was handsome even at this age with his long black hair and beautiful amber eyes. Much more handsome than I've ever imagined.

"Karen are you ok?"

I came back to reality with my father's words.

"Yes, father. I'm ok. I was just a bit confused about what just happened.

" Thank God."

He embraced me calmly but his heart was beating like crazy.

"I'm sorry for my son's bad acting. Please accept our apologies."

"It's ok my lord. At least they are children so it's normal for them to act like that. There is no need to apologize."

The vampire lord smiled with a thankful look on his face. He was seeming like he liked the words my father used.

On the other hand, all I could think was how blessed I was.

I saw the vampire lost with his children.

Well, the princess was hiding from us because of her shyness. but still, this was something.

"I'm sorry for hurting you Mrs. I do hope that you can forgive me."

Li gently held my hand and kissed me on the top of my hand. Then he looked deep into my eyes like there was something he knows but I don't.
