9. Thinking Things Through

Before Nich could think about what was happening, he felt the world around him spinning. and then, he was back at the plain of darkness.

'Ughh'

Nich feel Nasuated, his head was spinning, and after some time he finally regained his senses, now looking at the ceiling.

'The ceiling?'

Nich thought, remembering all that had transpired in the previous hours.

Dim light slipped through the window to enter the room, illuminating the surrounding,

There were some corners the light was unable to reach, yet Nich could still perfectly peer in the darkness, as if there was a vail that lifted when he looked.

Nich thought, then looked up the ceiling, then sat up.

There were several things he wondered about, first was the strange dream... No it felt more real than a dream could ever feel, so Nich was almost certain it wasn't a dream.

Then what else it was?

Nich thought, then gave up because of a lack of understanding, then the second thing he wondered was about the incident that transpired.

That again, led him to himself, where he showed superhuman agility and strength, and he could even see in the dark.

Logically, it was possible for a person to summon Unncany strength in the times of need, and it was also possible to see in the dark when eyes are given enough time to adjust.

But, Nich was not a normal person, his physical abilities were infact, below average, and with how clear he could see in the dark it, this simply could not be attributed to a stroke of chance.

But then again, there were no answers, not any definite ones at least, so he changed the topic again.

He thought about how he would have to explain himself to his parents, and also...

The incident was not a small one, once the news of it gets out the media would obviously not live him in peace.

Nich did not like attention, he would much rather lock himself in a room filled with darkness than to become a famous entity.

At least he can see in the dark.

Nich shook his head, it was too much to think about, so his attention yet again shifted on more trivial matters.

Like how the temperature on the room was near perfect.

Near perfect,Nich sat lazily, then with some effort he put one of his leg outside of the blanket.

Now it's perfect.

Nich wandered back to the important and trival things.

There were of course, many more things to wonder about.

His ethics while dealing with the police officers would be one of them, he knew were good.

It's common curtsey to serve the guests some tea, of course he would also have to make sure that the envirnment was also right, so he took it upon himself to turn on the lights.

Sure he did not have any friends, but he considered himself polite.

He forgot to turn on the heater though, fortunately Alice did it, which saved him some face.

Nich sighed, then thought.

'How is it... That i am dealing with the situation so nonchalantly?'

Nich thought, if there was any other person in his shoes, they would be questioning their sanity, possibly go insane.

Nich remembered something slightly, then thought.

'What was that strange panel that appeared in front of me?'

What did it say again?

As Nich was thinking about the strange panle, it appeared in front of his eyes, startling him.

"Fuu... That almost made me a ghost."

The panel hung in the air, staying stationary where it first appeared, and when Nich moved his head to the side, the panel followed through.

Nich looked at it, content written on it, and found his name at the top.

Nich read the contents of the panel, waited for a bit then read it again.

By now he has come to term with what was happening.

He seemed to have gained a system of sorts, the system didn't tell it's name like in the stories he read but it's evaluation and functions seemed similar at least.

Also usually people started at the levle G, or F, but he was a C grade already.

Nich looked around, there was only one panel, and all the information displayed on it did not change.

"where is the shop!"

Nich exclaimed, he was expecting a message to pop and say [host is not yet qualified to open the store]

But all he got was silence.

"There is no shop."

Nich sighed, the systems who did not have a shop were systems that did not help much, and seeing the unresponsive system only confirmed his theory.

So he would not be expecting answers from it, but he still tried just in case.

After asking several different questions in several different ways, Nich slumped on the couche and gave up.

'Well at least i don't have to worry about an evil entity who created this system to take over my body.'

Not knowing what do expect or do, Nich waved his hand and the system disappeared, then he decided to sleep as it was still 4:00 in the morning.

He was not an early bird, rather he liked to sleep early and wake up late, that was the best thing to do.

Also he was too lazy to move to room.
