Chapter Four: Good News &Bad news

Passing numerous halls,I heard sobbing and mumbling,it came from Julia chamber, I pushed the brass door open, she sat on the windowsill,unnoticed of my presence.

"Julia,stop crying,you are wasting your golden tears for that son of a bitch,wipe it of"

I hugged her from behind she looked at me, her eyes were swollen and puffy,she had cried all morning,and for who that idiot.

"Eric,is the love of my life he can't do such, maybe he's under a spell,he is, he can't do this to me,no he can't,he loves me so much so much"tears streaming from her eyes,I really hate seeing her crying, I hugged her consoling her,the door was opened someone was in for sure.

"Who is there?"I looked at the figure

"Its me,Duchess" what's the idiot doing here.

"Have, you come here to make fun of my sister,eh Crown prince of Hilfiger."a dagger crested on it was the royal coat of arm of Montana was placed on his throat.

"You can kill me if I were to do such an immoral act to my love"rolling my eyes.

"Della, let him speak"I looked at Julia she sounded tough hiding the weak part of hers, I let him go, placing the dagger in a sheath under my skirts.

"Julia, forgive me,I don't know what came over me,please forgive me at least for our love, I promised not to betray your trust, i am on my knees putting my pride aside do forgive me"he held her skirts,a tear dropped from her eyes.

"Eric, I forgive you,for the sake of our love,and our unborn baby" what a news a baby, this is surprising,I touched my belly which was still very flat.

"Baby, you are expecting a cousin" I mumbled

"A baby,I am a father,this is great news,Julia you are pregnant,I am going to be father very soon."he hugged her tightly jumping in joy as he laid kisses on her,I do envy the way Eric reacted, excitement was shown on his face.

"Congratulations to you all, very good, you are already expecting a baby just two months to your wedding,congrats sis"

"Thanks,do expect yours too"she flashed a smile.

I walked to Father's chamber, hearing voices,I inched closer to hear for sure I am eaves dropping, not ladylike of me to eaves drop especially the King father,anyway what's the need to be guilty I don't act ladylike .

"If your son was to impregnate my daughter, he will surely marry her,I can't let him bring tarnish my reputation as the king of Montana,no way"it Was father voice

"Sure,Robert he will marry the two sisters,if that happens,I can't let my son to destroy our union & friendship which took us years to build, I will take my leave, your Majesty"the door opened,I lost balance and fell,what a disgrace as I looked at the stunned middle aged men,rising on my feet and dusting my skirts.

"Sorry, to interrupt you noble gentleman, I... was...co...ming...here...to discuss with father on something important and I...tripped,am so clumsy"frigging with my fingers crossed hopping they believe me,a drop of sweat rolled down from my temple.
