I AM THE AUTHOR

"You can't do it." They all said, glaring down at her. "Why? I want to write a book." She said, wilting under their cold stares. "Just look at how you've fallen. How are you even going to write a book? This is all your fault." they chorused. Indeed, Seanae was sprawled on the icy cobblestones. Her scraped knees were bleeding waves of crimson. "B-but you're the ones who pushed me." She whimpered. Suddenly, they all went dead quiet. Seanae looked down, embarrassed. "You can't do it." They repeated. "You can't even pick yourself up." But she did. Slowly, she dusted off her knees and limped into a standing position. "You're wrong. I can do it, and I will," she told them. And with that, "English Rose" was published. ~~~~ Pls help dis rando author ;-; I have dirt bank account and dirt writing skills but gold imagination ~~~~ Please give me viewssssss art release every 5k *read till at least the second chapter before you decide to ditch it pls* - EVERY WEEKDAY (daily updates monday-friday and maybe on the weekends too?) I AM THE AUTHOR

CHAPTER ELEVEN

Ah. But one thing I had forgotten. There were no bodies, and no blood on my sword. The last one was easily fixed with a large cut on my hand, which dripped blood onto the sword. with some strategic dabbling on my clothes as well, I looked like I had killed 30 people. Next, the bodies. I could use a classic movie twist for that part.

"Hey, 4th battalion!" I called, my voice ringing out over the courtyard. I was still sitting on the steps. The whole battalion turned around to face me. "3rd battalion already took out the bodies. Don't worry about it." I yelled, and they all went back to work, after one glance at my bloodstained clothes. Once more!

"Hey, 3rd battalion!" I yelled, now in the opposite battalion. Once again, a battalion was eyeing me, and the red on my dress and sword. "4th battalion already took out the bodies. Don't worry about it." I hollered, my voice cracking at the last part and my throat now screaming. The battalion nodded and turned away, going back to drilling with swords. Yes!

Checkmate. You've saved me again, Gen Z! I love you!

"Huh, But where'd Levi go? Did he leave?" I said to myself. I guess it was time to get up. As I got up and grabbed my sword, exiting the dungeon, Levi was still standing there. He frowned at my clothes. "Did you really-"

"Nah. The blood's mine. See?" I said, raising an arm, which had now stopped bleeding since I had juiced out all the blood I could but was still bright red. "But you thought I'd really killed someone! smart, right?" I beamed. Levi looked at it for a minute and then looked around. The place outside the dungeon was fully furnished and quite lavish, considering what it led to. Levi eventually settled his gaze on a curtain and ripped out a piece to carefully tie around my hand.

"Ah. Thanks." I said awkwardly. Levi didn't say anything. Then, "Is Cordelia really alive?" Oh. Me. Well, I could use this to my advantage. "It doesn't matter whether she is or not. You knew each other ten years ago. Is she really that important?" Ho ho ho! Let's see what you say now, you son of a gun!

Levi's hands paused, the bandage freezing. "Before I met Cordelia, it had been a week since I had eaten. My village had chased me out because of the curse, and so had everyone else. But then, I met her. No one had bothered to stick around after they found out about the curse, so I resigned myself and accepted by fate. But… Cordelia, I feel like, changed that fate. I'll always live for her. But now, everything went wrong. So where is she? I'll go to the ends of the earth to find her."

?????????????

Dude! Stop! That sounds like a cringy-as-hell love confession, especially since I'm right in front of you! I CAN FEEL MY CHEEKS TURNING RED, STOP!!! But Levi was staring at me intently, without blinking. Now I was a tomato. "Uhm - you know what! one last question. Do you love her?" I asked, furiously changing the topic. Levi was still looking at me with those grey eyes. Ever since Cordelia had been brought up, they had become 5 shades brighter. "I do," Levi said instantly, and I abruptly stood up, took off my high heels, and plunked them into Levi's hands. The bandage was yanked away (by me), and dashed down the hall. What?! I mean. I had always slightly thought about it. Especially since we had to dance to classical music and everything. But who'd love me? In high school, not a single person.

Maybe he just liked my face or something. But my face hadn't come up once in that cringe confession! ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, this was like a K-drama plot! absolute garbage for the people suffering through it, but delight for the people watching! Help me!

Suddenly, I stopped running. Would Levi believe me… If I dashed down right now and just spouted the truth? the whole truth? Hand on my knees, I stopped to catch my breath. Maybe. But it was a small chance. Especially since this had officially derailed from English Rose a long time ago. Cordelia and Levi had never been a thing before. Maybe it was impossible.

But… would it hurt to try?
