CHAPTER THRITY-ONE
"If dancing is all you want to see… Do you want to dance with me?" Levi asked. "Yeah let's g- wait, what?" I said, and Levi repeated himself. "Dance with… you?" I said, in disbelief, and Levi looked down, suddenly interested in his shoes. "Sorry. That was a bad question." Levi said softly. Realizing how that sounded, I quickly slapped my cheeks, to Levi's surprise. "No! Wait! That's not what I meant - I meant, I just didnt expect that. Do you know how to dance, Levi?" I said, my hands now clutching my rosy cheeks and brushing my eyes. "...Nope," Levi said, and I grinned. "Perfect, I don't either."
Levi slowly held out a hand, and I took it. Yay! I put a hand on his shoulder and Levi put one on my waist. "Like this?" Levi asked, and I nodded. "I think. I dunno. Try stepping to the left." I said. One step to the right. One twirl. A step to the right, and one step back. Another step to the right, one twirl. One step to the left, step back. "Hey, wait! Levi! We're doing it!" I said, and Levi laughed.
At this moment, The two people forgot about all their woes. All their hardships and suspicions. Instead, the two just gently wandered in each other's arms. A wave of fiery red crimson and a head of shaggy grey hair.
In surprise, I lost a step and ended up stepping on Levi's foot. "I haven't heard you laugh before! Do it again!" I said, flabbergasted, and Levi laughed again. I smiled. Yeah, this was the dancing I wanted to see. It was way better in person.
"This is what I wanted to see! yes! Thanks, Levi! You're a lifesaver!" I said, as I spun around and gracefully avoided stepping in Levi's foot. "Of course. It's not that bad for me either." Levi said, holding my hand as we both took a step back. I smiled. "Of course, it's not!" I said, stepping to the side to parry Levi.
Levi. One day I want to tell you everything.
